Hey everyone,
I came home from work not feeling so good. I think DH gave me what he has. Most of the people who work for me have been out sick this week. So I told my boss I was throwing in the towel. He told me that was a good idea since at the meeting this morning with the CEO and CFO in the room I took a nap. :lmao: CEO said he thoght I most not be feeling good since he brought me a coffee from dunkin donuts today and I did not drink it. They all know what a dunkie junkie I am

If I fell asleep at a meeting with the CEO of the company I work for I would be fired on the spot. You lucky gal you.

ok I snuck in here saying I am looking at prices for flights bc we may have to go to Tampa for a family wedding in June.(may try to get a Disney trip in there too:goodvibes ) I love my mom but if I have to hear one more story about Mrs R's daughter or Mrs L's grandson I am going to scream.

And I am annoyed I hope it will be ok, I stopped by the party place to drop off the cake bc I may have a lot of people in my car and then mentioned there was another party tonight too. Ugh I was told that we would most likely have the place to ourselves, I only wanted have to worry about the rugrats I invited getting along, now I have to worry about these other kids, and will I even know if they are with my party or not.:headache:

Good luck tonight!! I got a phone call yesterday and the woman asked me if it was OK to bring the invited child's TWO siblings!!! Where do people get this kind of nerve? I was stunned, but what could I say? So I said, "of course"..:confused3 I have had no negative RSVPs, so including these two extras I now have 30 on the list. I have 30 cupcakes ordered, so I guess I better hope that the LOSER MOMS that haven't called me aren't going to show up.. WHAT IS SO DIFFICULT ABOUT BEING COURTEOUS AND CALL..?? would these people do this if they were invited to an adult party that requested an RSVP?? NO CLASS...

Anyway, I wish you well tonight, just curious, where are you having your DS's party?

Next year it's gonna be different for me, I can't stand this depending on other parents to just call and RSVP. Maybe just take one or two friends bowling..

You know, you're lucky you didn't start this thead a few weeks earlier or you'd have it in limbo today during long-thread-shut-down day. :rotfl:

Oh, and Lara has seen my house so she knows what a loser I am...and it was clean that day, relatively speaking. :)

ETA...Oops, I forgot to say hello. :teeth: I'm so bad that I bought the scrapbooking stuff and never once used it. Of course I've bought LOTS of things never to use them.

I havn't been to Target in 3 weeks. Everytime I go I buy a bunch of stuff I never use. However I do need to go soon...my drains are running slow and I need some Drano and new wipers for my car...and bathroom cleaner. I may not do much cleaning but I clean my bathroom.

I love when people do that. When DD was younger I hated dealing with the whole birthday party thing. You always have somone that thinks it is no big deal to bring along the siblings. I do not get it.

For some reason the man loves me. His wife says it is because I am able to keep in line. I am the type that will say what I think. I will never agree with him just because of his job title. I told him from day one ask me no questions and I will tell you no lies. So he knows I will alsways be truthful.

I must say I have never had the sibling issue. In all the parties we threw even the pool parties here at home, I have never had anyone bring a sibling:confused3 And the ones out have always been where they could just pay for their kid to do their own thing, like the one at the arcade/laser tag place, they could buy tokens for the siblings, but the siblings couldnt do the laser tag bc that was a party thing.

I mentioned I had a heck of a time getting people to RSVP to our Communion Party.

We are doing tonight's party at a local Moonbounce place. It has a bunch of inflatables and inflatable slides and a soft playground thing too.

DS10 is done with parties, maybe one more before he graduates 8th grade but his is Sept so we can always try and do the pool. This is DS5's first one so I kind of feel like we need to do the same stuff for him.

Did I mention my mom keeps coming in here and looking over my shoulder, guess I better go amuse her:rolleyes1 I keep clicking on those darn SWA flights;)

Hey Tig...you gonna be a LOSER too? I loved your house!

I'm always forgetting when I'm supposed to RSVP and then panicking. Now I have a system set up. I did mention we're going to our third birthday party in three weeks, right? :headache: At least this one isn't at Chuck E Cheese's.

My CEO tells me dirty jokes.

what is your system?

When I worked the CEO was a stiff but the rest of my bosses should have spent a WHOLE lot of time in HR,;) I thought they were funny. I always told them to watch it though bc I didnt care but the next "chick" might:rotfl:

Hey Tig...you gonna be a LOSER too? I loved your house!

I've been a loser for a very long time! Almost all the pictures of my kids for the last 20 years have been stuffed in boxes...I had all these grand plans. :rotfl: I've also never did a baby book for any of my kids. :headache:

Oh I own the books...:rolleyes1

My system for invites is that I put the invitation in the middle of my wallet. It's a great big PITA to do anything with the wallet with the invite in there...I quickly get annoyed and RSVP.

I've managed to get out of having at least one birthday party this year. I convinced DS, who will be 9 on Wed, that Disney Quest would be really cool so we should go there. He was all about that. DD isn't all that thrilled but she'll get over it. I don't have to worry about rsvp's, goody bags, decorations, none of that. Thank goodness. I'm already planning DH's graduation party but that's all adults & there will be booze so it's all good. I just have to try to get the toilet fixed in the guest bathroom so it doesn't overflow 300 hundred times that night. It's been going on for over a year now & I always let him take care of it. Toilet's clogged? Go tell your father. I refuse to involve myself w/the problem if he's too stubborn to call a plumber or snake the durn thing out himself. I guess he'll be half-lit at his party plunging the toilet. Either that or we'll tell everybody they'll have to go to the Circle K up the street.

DS's baby book is a little more complete than DD's but his tapers off after about age 2, about the time DD was born & hers, a lot of it had to be made up to fill in the blanks. It's better than my SIL's. Hers is just the last page of my DH's baby book w/the important dates written in. The second child always gets shafted, man. :hippie: And I have all the scrapbooking paraphernalia, just can't seem to find the time to sit down & do it. Gotta get that stuff put away before the party too. Crap.:headache:

:lmao: :lmao: That is a good one!

School is out today and tomorrow...not sure why, must be national paper clip day or something.

They said snow showers here too, but nothing yet.

How far down the peninsula are you? (I figure you're down and not up...I shouldn't make that assumption I guess)

Yes, I'm down. Turn south at Cambridge, go past Blackwater Refuge, and keep heading south. I'm all the way at the end of the world down here.

Hey, btw, have you tried the (soon to be) new state dessert? That Smith Island Cake. It's yummy. My hubby delivers seafood to the lady's husband that owns Classic Cakes in Salisbury (that's where they make the cakes). He gave us a cake at Christmas just because. Really sweet people. I sent my hubby over to pick up a couple of cakes today. This way, I won't have to make dessert for my hunters tomorrow!!

Never in a million years did I think I'd buy a Toyota. But every one I know that owns one loves them, my DBIL buys one and drives it for over 100,000 miles..swears by them. When the FJ Cruiser came out, it was so ridiculous looking that I had to have one. The clincher was that the only fabric in the car is the ceiling. The seats are covered with fitted vinyl covers, the sides are plastic/metal, and the floors and cargo area are RUBBER!!! NO CARPET!!With kids and 3 big sloppy, balding dogs, this was the biggest selling point!

We bought it off Ebay. When my DH got it from the car carrier and drove it home, he told me I would have to find my own, because it was so cool he was keeping it. Within 3 months, he found one for himself..Yes, we are one of those couples with identical looking cars...YELLOW, at that...

Yellow matching cars?!?! I'll keep an eye out. You shouldn't be too hard to spot!!!

Morning my friends....we look extra popular today with the bigger threads hidden!

Yeah, what's the deal with that? I read that anti-clique thread before I checked this one, and I got worried that the LOSERS had disappeared.

I haven't tried that cake yet....it sounds yummy!

If we talk too much, we'll have to start a new thread and this one will be put to pasture. Not a problem except for the energy it will take to actually start the thread...which may be a problem with this group. :lmao:

for all of you I think I could muster up the energy:dance3:

I could totally muster the energy to start a new thread. I would miss chatting with my Loser buddies.

Thats_for_Shore, maybe I've asked you this before, but where do you live? My daughter is finishing up her last semester at Salisbury.

Well, since this is a staple in my daily life, there would have to be a LOSER thread. Even if I myself had to take the time to hit the New Thread button or whatever it is.

Slo did a poll about clique threads, asking if people belong to them or not. So I posted some really nice stuff about us. About how fun and entertaining we are. Maybe we'll get some new LOSER friends out of it!!
