Fords and Chevys? Why buy American when you can buy a quality BMW or Nissan? My family is a BMW family. Before that we were a Nissan family. Though I think once I am in the market for a newer car I will get either a Nissan Versa or a Nissan Rogue. Haven't decided yet.

I had a Nissan Xterra before DD was born and then #2DS "surprised" us and after he was born I traded the Xterra with DH for his truck (needed more back seat space for the car seats ) which in turn he traded the Xterra in for a Jeep later on.
I did really like the Xterra, but I like my HHR now. Especially for it's gas mileage.

Our second car is a Nissan Pathfinder...we like that car just fine...it's a little small, but other than that it's a great car.

Never in a million years did I think I'd buy a Toyota. But every one I know that owns one loves them, my DBIL buys one and drives it for over 100,000 miles..swears by them. When the FJ Cruiser came out, it was so ridiculous looking that I had to have one. The clincher was that the only fabric in the car is the ceiling. The seats are covered with fitted vinyl covers, the sides are plastic/metal, and the floors and cargo area are RUBBER!!! NO CARPET!!With kids and 3 big sloppy, balding dogs, this was the biggest selling point!

We bought it off Ebay. When my DH got it from the car carrier and drove it home, he told me I would have to find my own, because it was so cool he was keeping it. Within 3 months, he found one for himself..Yes, we are one of those couples with identical looking cars...YELLOW, at that...

And my computer is still converting the video files. But I swear it's going backwards. When I switched to the laptop it was at 32% for the first file and when I went back a half hour later it was at 12% and now it' at 21%. WTH is going on? And it's only the first video...there are 4 more to go.

:rolleyes1 Hmmmm....did you pickle your brain cells as much as I did mine??

I am not sure about my brain cells...but ya wanna talk about my liver?

I blame it on my kids.
I always say that after each one was born they each took a part of my brain & some of my energy. No wonder I'm always sooo tired

Pickled brain cells, pickled liver, you bet:goodvibes

I blame my kids too:lmao: I call them mommy moments. I especially blame the one who didnt sleep for 2 1/2 years:rotfl:

Yes, chronic sleep deprivation definitely leaves a mark!

Morning my friends....we look extra popular today with the bigger threads hidden!

That's funny I call them that too.

I think #2DS thinks it's Tantrum Thursday. I just realized that I just have enough diapers for him for just incase at daycare today, so till we leave I was gonna put him in a pull up (it's like a diaper, right? so what's the difference). Well you would have thought I wanted him to wear a dress or something cause he threw the biggest fit---I no wanna wear that -repeat with crying for 5 to 10 minutes. Can you tell we are having potty training problems

Oh, I SOOOO remember those days! :headache: I warned my DD that when she hit 3 it was no more diapers/pull ups of any kind. If she didn't want to be on the big girl potty then she was going to be wet. And here I thought girls were supposed to be easier to train  My son decided at 17 months he no longer wanted to be in a diaper and trained himself :cool1: Thank god that stuff is behind us now!

ok wish me luck today.

Transition angst and OCD DS5 has not only Pajama Day today but the birthday party for 20 of his closest friends tonight.

After I drop him off at preschool, I am going to get my mom and the cake (the bakery near her is the best, and I think she will pay for it too:lmao: )
And since I will have my mom here. I am acutally going to have to talk to the woman and maybe even look productive around my house (not that my mom is a WINNER, far from it, I just think it would be rude to be sitting here DISing all day but I will try to pop in on occasion)

Enjoy the day!

Purchased my 1st Toyota in 1999 (a 1998 Corolla) and still driving it! 125,000+ miles on it and other than normal wear & tear - tires/brakes/wipers/oil changes, we've only put about $1200 in repairs into it - most recently the starter (about a week ago  ) for $300. So we are VERY pleased with Toyota!!! Other vehicle is a Hyundai and although we like it, it's not as well made (IMHO) as the Toyota....great warranty though (if they stick to it when/if we have a problem).

just watch those pullups dont hold as much:rolleyes1

I found it interesting that the one with the transition issues was the easier of the two to train, go figure. I cant figure him out, I say just when I think I got it figured out and I think he is going to zig, he zags:lmao: drives me crazy!

Morning Losers. It took all night but my computer is done converting my video files...except for the one with Fantasmic. :headache:

Just my luck the one I really want it doesn't do. Will try again tonight when I get home from work. Now it's off to wash my hair. Or so it thinks.

Mkrop....God be with you....20 five year olds:scared:

We are potty trained here. I still put "goodnights" on my three year old, but he hasn't wet in one in a long time. I'm just too lazy to change his bed if he has an accident and he's not objecting yet, so I still put them on him.

#1DS was little trouble when it came to potty training & he was between 3 & 4 when we trained him. DD was a breeze, she actually asked to start when she was about 2 1/2. She was trained the fastest of the 2 oldest.
#2DS I think might take alittle more time, but wouldn't surprise me, he is the most stubborn out of the 3.

Well so much for the snow predictions...high in the 40s today and only partly cloudy. I want snow darnit.

In other news the boards are moving along very nicely this morning.

My parents did this at one point, they each had red monte carlos! But my dad worked at a Chevy dealer, so he only has his for like 6 months.

My husband, friends and I were discussing this the other day: I have only driven 3 cars that were not Chevy's(2 were my husband's past cars before we got married). I have never owned a non Chevy and plan not to unless its a luxury car/SUV(such as a Range Rover:love: )

I think our next car will be a hybrid. We drive so much it just makes sense. We wer lookng at the Highlander, but we're hoping that we don't have to buy a new car for several years. We want to run the Pathfinder as far into the ground as possible. A few years with no car payments would be wonderful.

I don't ever look forward to having a car payment. I plan on running my car into the ground and it is halfway there. Don't really ever want a car payment but at some point I will probably need to have one. If that makes any sense. Best I can do is save as much as possible and find a car that is not too expensive so the payment won't be through the roof.

ok I snuck in here saying I am looking at prices for flights bc we may have to go to Tampa for a family wedding in June.(may try to get a Disney trip in there too:goodvibes ) I love my mom but if I have to hear one more story about Mrs R's daughter or Mrs L's grandson I am going to scream.

And I am annoyed I hope it will be ok, I stopped by the party place to drop off the cake bc I may have a lot of people in my car and then mentioned there was another party tonight too. Ugh I was told that we would most likely have the place to ourselves, I only wanted have to worry about the rugrats I invited getting along, now I have to worry about these other kids, and will I even know if they are with my party or not.:headache:
