I had a Tantrum Thursday moment today..picked up the boys and drove out to Michaels after school. I was making a left hand turn off of a 4 lane hwy, and from a STOP sign a guy pulls out in front of me from my right and completes his journey across the entire 4 lanes..I beeped my horn LOUD and LONG, and he turns around and flips me off!!! Well, as luck would have it, we were going to adjacent stores..and I parked (not on purpose) 3 spaces down from him. I cannot keep my mouth shut to save my life, so when he walks by me and smirks..(he is about early 20's), I have to say, "You need to go back to driving school and learn something about right-of-way". He says something, and then I really get ticked.."YOU HAVE SOME NERVE FLIPPING ME OFF WHEN YOU ARE THE ONE WHO RAN A STOP SIGN!!!" He just laughs and keeps on walking, then shouts over his shoulder, "What are you gonna do about it?" I said, "you're an idiot." and went into Michael's...now very quickly because I am thinking he will do something to my car...I am waiting in line, he comes into the store, walks up and touches my arm, and says....get this...."I'm sorry". I was so shocked I almost fell over. I said, "Thank you"..(Is that proper?..I don't know I was stunned.) So I go out to my car with my boys, he drives by, opens his window and says it again....I just said, "well I get kind of defensive with my boys in the car..and you did run a stop sign..) He said he understood..
Wow...an apology with no "buts" , or anything...I'm still in shock..
So I had a tantrum...for Thursday. I think I was justified..can't wait to see what Flip it Friday holds for me.
RE: Fords.. I have been in a Ford only family for my whole life. My dad worked there for 40 years. My last two experiences with Fords have left me very unhappy. I had an Expedition that needed new brakes after 29,000 miles. Unheard of, needed new rotors, too. Then with my 2005 Freestyle, I needed new brakes after 19,000 miles...and new rotors..who expects to have to replace brake pads that early..Plus, there were problems on a bunch of blogs regarding this early need for replacement, but Ford refused to cover it under warranty..so we had to pay $500 to repair. Immediately began looking at other cars. Bought my first Toyota an FJ Cruiser..I LOVE IT!!!!! After I bought it, Ford sent a letter stating that replacement brakes were being offered for Freestyle because of early wear...

..So they reimbursed us, I told them they have lost a customer..no more Fords for us because of this hassle..I drove up in my new Toyota to get my reimbursement...
Of course, DH had to make a liar out of me, and bought a used Harley Davidson Truck out in Montana...hope we can stay out of the repair shop...
