The longstaff Family and free dining trip report day 14

Its our last full day at WDW today and I have planned a whole day in the magic kingdom followed by chef mickey's for dinner. I also have plans to meet up with a good friend of mine who is in florida and today was the only day we were both at the same park !
We arrive about 9am and i have my mobile ready so Sophie can call me when she arrives (they are staying in a villa in Kissimmee)
First we head for splash and big thunder and ride these a couple of times and then I force everyone to come and watch the show on the castle forcourt stage......the kids wanted to carry on going on the rides !!!!
Whilst we wait for the show to start Dh gets us a funnel cake (Mmmmmm) and a drink. I really enjoyed the show but an American lady behind me finds in much more exciting....im sure she nearly passed out with excitement every time mickey looked our way

After the show we rode Haunted Mansion and finally Sophie called to say they had arrived (it was 11am for goodness sake !!!) they were just about to go into Laugh floor so I said we would walk over to meet her.
I was keen to find out what she thought about florida as she has put up with me blabbering on for years now ! luckily they are having a brilliant time and have plans to return
I caught up on some gossip i had missed at home and then we reluctantly parted company and we headed to Columbia Harbor House for lunch.

After lunch we headed for pirates of the caribbean and DD spotted a hair braid stand....she was desperate to have this done so the boys rode pirates while We got Ellie's hair done.....the lady made a brilliant job of it and DD was thrilled

We rode a few more rides including Jungle cruise and then headed over to the contemporary for our 5pm ADR
DS spots the water slide and the pool and declares he wants to stay here next time we come

Chef Mickeys was brilliant, the food and character interaction were good...only minnie kept missing us out...it seemed every time she got near us she was called away ! she did make it over in the end though.

Tomorrow: 1900 park fair character breakfast and a flight home

A lovely last day, isn't the last day very sad.

I love the photos at Chef Mickey's, we had booked it as a special treat on our last night, it will be the first ADR I make for our next visit!

I find the last day really sad. Even when writing the trip reports the last report is sad!!!

When DD had her hair plaited there it lasted from the May until the day before Christmas!!!! I took ages to undo all the plaiting and then the hair just fell out
