Just came back from our WDW trip. When we visited the Living Seas I became very confused because I could swear that years ago there was a "ride". Kind of like a train that moved you through the attraction. Am I crazy or did this exsist? Thanks for your help!

No, you're not crazy! My DH and parents thought I was, though, when we were there in Jan. of '03. I swore up and down that there had been a ride through the tank, and none of them remembered it. I remember getting off the hydrolators and getting on the short ride that took you through the tank and let off in the Seabase. However, now, as you know, you get off the hydrolators and walk through a small hallway to get to Seabase Alpha. If you are on the lower level and look into the tank, you can still see into the area where the ride used to be (that's what finally jogged their memory). The upper part is where you can walk through the tank and where they do the dolphin demonstrations, and right below it is the old ride area. I don't know why they don't use it anymore, and I certainly missed it!

Thank you for helping me keep my sanity. I really thought I lost it for awhile! It was a cute little ride, wonder why the got rid of it?

My guess would be that you can accomplish the same thing while walking (not very long) and it allowed you to stop if you wanted to. And it would allow the lines to keep moving instead of the time loading the ride.

Wow I don't remember it at all. I'm wondering if I ever rode it.
interesting to know

The Living Seas

I am hoping that the link above will work. It should take you to a site that I found that has some home movie video of some of the rides from both DLR and WDW.

One of them is the sea cabs that the Living Seas use to have. Really miss those. It was a nice relaxing ride.

The video link is on the page for the link above. It is located just towards the bottom of the page, under EPCOT The Living Seas.
