Isn't it amazing how the littlest thing means so much? I know a lot of you know what I mean.

In the last two days there have been a couple of "little things" that just make me feel so good in regards to my weight loss journey. First there was a woman that I hadn't seen in a few weeks (I probably only lost 5 pounds since she saw me last) and she just came running up to me and said, "Wow, you look so good, you must have lost so much more weight?" Then today I put on a pair of short I bought on my vacation a few weeks ago and they are already baggy, which amazes me because they were tight when I bought them. Also today I went to buy a couple of sweatshirts, they were on sale and I knew my old 3X sweatshirts from last year wouldn't fit. So imagine my surprise when I tried on an XL and it was too big and then I tried on a L and it was big, for a former size 22 girl this was amazing! And to top it off, my DH just couldn't stop bragging about how I look and he made a comment, he said since I have lost weight I let him touch me more. I had to stop and look at him at that comment because I just never realized that before, I guess I was so ashamed of my old self that I was self conscience about even him touching me at times. So with all that said, I am feeling pretty good about myself these days. I still have more weight to lose, but you know what, I am so extremely happy just to be where I am today and I am enjoying every minute of it.

So what I am trying to say is savor the small things, because the small things really mean a lot.

You are absolutely right the little things do mean a lot! It is amazing the things we can take for granted...including our weight/health. Congrats on the smaller sizes that HAS to feel good. The fact that you are doing something and it is showing is huge!!! All it takes is one person to notice and you can walk with your head a little higher but to have your hubby notice now that is floating on air!!

Keep the faith and keep up the good work!!!

That is so cool!! Isn't it amazing?

You gave me chills while I read this - way to go!!!!!

The little things are great aren't they? I keep 2 sizes of jeans around. 12s which I used to wear regularly and 14s which I had to buy when I gained a bunch of weight after being out of a job for three months.

For the past year or so I've been able to wear both sizes, but the 14 are loose and comfortable, the 12's a bit snug. Well I've been sble to wear the 12s comfortably for about a week now. I'm really excited about it.

My next goal is to be able to wear my rings comfortably again!

Isn't is great???

Sounds like I need to go try on some clothes!! I am still walking around in my baggy clothes.

The little things always remind us how life is so great....:D

Congrats! Isn't it such a good feeling. I have had several of those kinds of things lately too.

I am getting a lot of people that I work with telling me that I look great. I even had a few people at WW's last week say something.

I went to Sears to try on some Lands End jeans that I had been wanting. (I own 14 & 16 now, that I never used to be able to fit into and I wouldn't buy anything larger) I tried on 12 and they were big, then a 10 and an 8. The 10's fit slightly snug, but zippable. Definately doable in about 5 pounds or so. I could pull the 8's up but I couldn't zip them. I also tried on some shorts and flat front chino capri's in 10's & 8's. I decided to buy the 8's. They fit just like the jeans did, and I know that I could easily fit in the 8's by the time I go to Disney in November. I also tried 10's and 8's on at the GAP and they fit the same way!!

Then I stopped by Victoria's Secret to buy some of the Body by Victoria undies that I love. The girl at Victoria's asked me if I ever tried the Body by Victoria bra's. I told her that I don't think they carry my size bra. She said what size do you wear, and can you believe they did carry my size. They carry up to a DD. I said what the heck, let me try them on. Not only did they feel great, they covered perfectly. It is the most comfortable bra I have ever owned. I am now hooked on these bra's. My search for THE bra is finally over. You know.......if they would make this bra into a bathing suit....I could actually wear a bakini. Can you imagine?? The coverage was so spectacular and in all the right places.

Now once in a while you have someone that will do the opposite. I went back to Victoria's Secret at another Mall to see if they had black, I also inquired about the Body by Victoria tank top ( I can't normally wear tank tops, but I thought I would see how these fit). When I asked to try one on, the girl said...........oh these run small, they probably won't fit. CAN YOU IMAGINE. I just left I was so ticked. I was wearing one of my larger outfits..........that made me look larger, so I vowed on that day to get rid of some of my larger outfits that made me look larger and frumpier. Baggy clothes does nothing for your self esteem. This was the day I also tried the Gap Jeans on. She looked at me sort of crazy when I asked for a 8 and 12 short. Oh well, I know that they fit!

Congratulations on your loss! I can't imagine going from a 3 XL and then finding an XL too big for you! What a boost. And what an inspiration.

And little things do mean ALOT. I can't tell you how much posting/venting yesterday and getting all the feedback and support from people here meant to me.

Oh, Debbi! I have PMS, so I shouldn't have read your message because now I am crying!!!! What a sweet post! I can totally feel your joy! :) GOOD FOR YOU! Check you out, trying on all those big sweatshirts and even the L is too big for you! WOO-HOO!!!! And I love what your husband said. What a special moment! :) He is a keeper, for sure! Jenn, it is amazing what properly fitting clothes does for your self esteem. I walked around in my old clothes for months before getting better fitting clothes and even though I felt good it wasn't until I had the new things that I felt a new confidence in myself.

Melanie, you are doing a great job, I am sorry one silly clerk made you mad. The important thing is you know that they fit!

Karen, I am sorry you are PMSing, that is never fun, but I know it is a fact of life. {{HUGS}}

Debbi!!!! How cool is that?!?!? Wow - you are doing SO great!!! Simply shrinking away before our eyes! What a GREAT loser you are!! Thanks for sharing your stories with us so I can stay motivated!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

That is so awesome! I know when I lose weight and feel better about myself, my relationship with DH is much better. I'm all around a much happier person. Congratulations on the clothes! I LOVE shopping and can't wait to go again. I haven't been to the mall to shop for clothes for probably close to a year. I get too depressed. But, I will shop again...yes, I will.

You should be so proud of yourself! How exciting to be able to buy such a smaller size! How great to be looking great and feeling great about yourself. It is stories like yours that keep me coming back here and thinking that I can work through this and loose weight like all of you!

I am happy that people are telling you how great you look! It has to make your feel proud of what you have done - and how motivating to keep going or to just keep it off!

Keep it up!
Jen
