Projects!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
That's what I do for a living :)

This just happened to be more christmassy than anything I do. I have a Channukah version also, but it's a bit more... personal :) I need a nicer quote for it before I release it.

If you would like...I would love the Chanukah one as well. E-mail me. ;)

You're very talented. :)

once I come up with a better quote for it, absolutely. What's on it right now is in Hebrew, and directed towards my Jewish grandparents... and isn't something I'd want to share ;)

T'was the Night Before Inauguration
By John Cobarruvias

T'was the night before inauguration and what to my dismay
The market was tanking, I lost my 401K!
The stocks were hung, in downfall they stuck
While Bush did nothing, a truly lame duck

The republicans were nestled, their heads in the sand
With visions of defeat of the republican brand.
And Cheney with his gun, his heart a pace
Looking for someone, to shoot in the face.

When out on the house floor, there came such a clatter
I sprang to the internets to find what's the matter.
Away to my screen I ran with a flash
Hoping the market, didn't crash.

The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow
Showed me someone I needed to know.
When what to my eyes, I paused, with a comma
But a vision of hope, It was Barack Obama!

With excitement and conviction in each of his steps
I wondered what he and his elves, would do next.
More rapid than eagles his appointments they came
And he whistled and shouted, and called them by name.

Now Emanuel! Now, Dashle! Now Richardson and Biden!
On, Clinton, On Napolitano, and Gates, no sense in hidin'!
To fix the economy, our reputation and more.
And to stop the killing of this unnecessary war.

As Obama stood still, the republicans they trembled
Remembering 8 years of a disaster they had assembled.
They've broken our banks, and doubled our debt.
They scared us to death with weapons of threats.

They squandered a surplus, They started a war.
They shredded our constitution, littered on the floor.
They attack our unions, our immigrants and those who are gay.
They claim to be Christians, yet on the sick they prey.

We may never recover from this hole they dug.
But we will climb to the top with a American tug.
The republican party have destroyed all that matters
They deserve nothing more but to hold the damn ladder.

But his voice did change, along with a smile.
Thinking of the bills that soon would be filed.
Protect those who are old and young alike
Restore our honor and our military might.

Protect our planet, and clean our air.
While creating a surplus we can leave to our heirs
Fix our economy, and health care for all.
And honor those who fought, and those who fall.

Obama sprang to his feet, to his team he gave a shout.
The challenges seem impossible, hard work needed no doubt
But I heard him exclaim ere he talked and ran.
Hey! It's not just a slogan, YES WE CAN!

I'm gonna give that one a fist bump and a hell yea. Thanks Carla! :teeth:

Carla that's great :rotfl: More truthful words I have seen not.....

Onto another matter. Goldman Sachs made 2.3 billion dollars this year, yes, the 4th quarter was bad and they needed a bailout, however, they still made 2.3 billion dollars.

How much are they going to pay in taxes? ONE PERCENT.

Why is it one percent? Because they've moved their money offshore. Yup, they made 2.3 billion dollars, took a bailout all the while keeping their assets off shore. How nice is that? Who's in charge of doling out who gets part of the bailout? I think there's only one person in charge of that.

I love it. Norm Coleman is pulling a Tom Delay. Coleman is asking the FEC for permission to use campaign contributions to pay legal fees for the FBI investigation into the illegal funnelling of money used to pay for the cost overrun on the remodeling of the Coleman home. It seems that Mr. Coleman and Mrs. Coleman now have their own separate criminal law attorneys and need to use campaign funds to pay for these lawyers. The guy who gives Coleman free or reduced rent was caught funneling money to Mrs. Coleman's employer through the payment of bogus insurance premiums.

What do folks think about the selection of Rick Warren as invocation speaker for the inaugural?

I feel there needs to be consequences applied when people espouse intolerance, as Rev. Warren does. They shouldn't be rewarded because they've fostered up a large flock of intolerant followers. Obama shouldn't have granted him such a platform, unless the context was such that Warren was going to, through the invocation, make a conciliatory gesture, indicating that he personally is actively moderating his long-held positions. I doubt that that is the case.

However, one thing this guy has going for him is that many of the über-intolerant find him not-intolerant-enough -- though that is hardly a ringing endorsement.

I agree with you Bicker and a letter will be sent expressing my disappointment. Of course I can see why he did it, as I am sure all the cons will run to the inaugeration to hear the bag of wind, Warren, speak...Oh the crowds!

Good morning, I am back from my WL getaway. :goodvibes I am shamefully out of touch with the real world and need to check out the news I missed while away. WDW was wonderful, the lodge is amazing with all the holiday decor. They had a Photopass photographer out by the tree every night to do family photos.

Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson was the chairman of Goldman-Sachs. He\'s just taking care of business and his own self-interest

Agreed. I was more than a little confuzzled at that choice.

Well, I suppose any pastor he picked would have brought furor from some. I don't particularly like any one of them. After the show that was the Compassionate forum that Warren held, I am, like Jen, confuzzled to say the least. He wasn't hand picked for the invocation by Obama, although I'm sure Obama signed off on it. Overall I'm more concerned how he will govern rather than who he has give the invocation, but that's just me. In this Country we will always have religion and politics intertwined, it's really too bad actually.

Count me in the confuzzled group as well.....to me this is a bit of a head scratcher, but overall I agree with Chris, I am more concerned with how Obama will govern than who was chosen for this.

Still, I feel the guy is cheesy and wasn't he the one who was praying for Sarah Palin's success (I may be wrong there, but I feel like I remember hearing that back during the campaign.) I just think someone else would have been a better choice.
