I was happy to see Obama appoint an actual SCIENTIST in charge of the Energy Dept. Nobel Prize-winning physicist, no less.

You guys have been so quiet today... I've had plenty going on this afternoon, but I've heard there's plenty of news in appointments today... I'm off to find out about them.

Anyhow, the good news today is what?? Cert Denied in the Berg Case (yet another of the Obama birth cert. cases)

Justice Kennedy denied cert on a couple of Obama birth certificate cases today including the infamous Berg case http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/news/2008/12/justice_kennedy_rejects_2_more.php

Kennedy on Wednesday denied without comment an appeal by Philip J. Berg, a Pennsylvania attorney, that claims Obama is either a citizen of Kenya or Indonesia and is ineligible to be president because he is not a "natural-born citizen" of the U.S. as required by the Constitution. Another appeal from California, based on Berg's claims, also was denied.

Individual justices and the entire court have turned down emergency appeals over Obama's eligibility at least seven times in the past six weeks.

Berg can now ask a different SCOTUS Justice to review the appeal and it is customary for such second justice to refer the appeal to the entire court where the appeal will be denied in 99.999% of the time. I expect Berg to try this.






You'd think one of these days they'd stop trying to get the courts to see the same case over and over and over again, even though it gets thrown out each and every time.

Poor PUMA's. And they was so excited about Berg. Ahhhh...chock him and his lawsuit into the pile of BITTER HAS-BEENS!

I had a run-in at work today...and I got a black eye out of it. I had to separate two students who were fighting and I caught an elbow to the eye.

Hmmm...felt remarkably similar to debating in some of these threads!

I'm glad I didn't go into teaching. My MIL taught for 30 years, and I don't know how she did it.
