Wait till McCain has to actually debate in the National race. Either one will mop the floor with him. That's why I hope this primary doesn't last much longer. The more the American People see McCain up against a Democratic opponent one on one, they will see what a poor choice he will be.

Exactly. Much as I dislike Hillary at the moment, a debate between she and McCain would be just downright ugly, and Obama versus McCain would be even worse. Comparisons between Obama or Clinton and McCain are laughably tilted towards the Democrats.

WVJules - I've said before that I thought Hillary could lose to McCain, simply because of how much the people on the right hate her which would lead to them getting involved and getting out to the polls. However, having seen enough of McCain now on the national campaign trail, I'm starting to think that it simply won't matter. McCain is just Bush part Trois...only worse, because instead of just being an idiot ("Dude...awesome speech, your Popeness! ) McCain is an angry old coot that's likely to start hitting red buttons just to get them darn kids off his lawn.

Getting in some practice for the next 8 years with John McCain as President? I would suggest finding a clever way to rhyme something to his last name...... (McLame, Mc"can't wait til he has Alzheimers to really slur him"Pain, McVain etc)

Just wanted to say hi. Been a busy 2+ weeks with work and all. I noticed we are getting a bad rep in the Conservative Thread for being hard on the "interlopers" so, I thought I would return the favor and offer the opportunity for y'all to kick me around a bit.

But I won't have to worry about it after November, as he'll just slink his happy *** right back to the senate where it belongs.

Of course not. No one does. While McCain's age brings forth a question or two, and rightly so, imho, it's hardly the main reason Democrats would prefer him not to be the next POTUS.

Right - I sort of feel guilty not wanting to support McCain. He sacrificed so much for this country - yet - I just don't agree where he wants to take this country in the future.

This was a very bad war that we, the United States of America, instigated (I am talking about Iraq, not the action against Al Qaeda). And he wants to keep it going - I just can't get on board with that.

You know something? I have absolutely no idea how old anyone here is. You may be as old as dirt or not. Personally I dislike McCain for his policies, his age is a consideration but not a major one.
