.......I've never understood why people vote to put in office candidates who don't believe in government or believe government is the problem......... .

I've wondered about this myself and don't understand the people who vote for these candidates or the candidates who want to be in government but don't believe in government.

Buzz up!on Yahoo!Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) hints at some behind-the-scenes activity to bring the Democratic nomination race to a close:

Q: Do you still think the Democratic race can be resolved before the convention?

Reid: Easy.

Q: How is that?

Reid: It will be done.

Q: It just will?

Reid: Yep.

Q: Magically?

Reid: No, it will be done. I had a conversation with Governor Dean (Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean) today. Things are being done.

Now, even HRC is calling Obama a liberal. From the Washington Post:

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign has also started slapping the L-word on Obama, warning that his appeal among moderate voters will diminish as they become more aware of liberal positions he took in the past, such as calling for single-payer health care and an end to the U.S. embargo against Cuba. "The evidence is that the more [voters] have been learning about him, the more his coalition has been shrinking," Clinton strategist Mark Penn said.

Reading your post, one could almost get the impression that being a liberal is some sort of bad thing.

Fortunately all of us here know better, including you.

Right?

For the love of God, HRC is a liberal!!! And this is the Liberal thread :scared: What is up with that?? I'm sure she's not running under a conservative platform now...

It's the top story (under the top headlines) at ABC New online right now....Who'd have guessed we'd be talking about the Tony Harding option??:rolleyes1

I wonder if the "break his back" is meant figurative or literally? Regardless it is disgusting and indefensible.

Agreed. HRC is certainly a liberal. The Clinton camp warning about Obama's liberalism is strange indeed.

Well, after reading the "break his back" threat, I've had enough of it all... I will now bow out of the Liberal thread as I'll be backing McCain or Obama.

Bye. :flower3:

Does anyone get the impression that Harry Reid might have been told details about some kind of plan? Or maybe he was just assured that there was one? He sure seemed flippant in that conversation. :confused3

When I check on the goings on of our friends on the other side of the aisle, I keep getting a banner saying "Ann Coulter - Free".

The price seems a little steep to me. :lmao:
:rotfl2:

Actually, she's kind of expensive if you count the aggravation.

From the actual article:

l just spoke with a Democratic Party official, who asked for anonymity so as to speak candidly... <snip>

She will have to "break his back," the official said. She will have to destroy Obama, make Obama completely unacceptable

The "break his back threat" was not made by Hillary or even anyone from her campaign. It was made by a Dem "official" who didn't even have the guts to go on record with his name. For all we know it's the weekend janitor.

It's absolutely hilarious to me that you are so indignant about this comment. But you didn't even take the time to read it carefully. This article is someone's opinion - someone not affiliated with Hillary's campaign But hey, don't let that stop you from blaming it on Hillary.
