IT JUST HIT ME!!! I AM OOOOOOOOOOOLD!:headache:

This never dawned on me till now...But Obama is younger than me. This is the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE someone running for President is younger than me!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

OH CRAP!

I'm still younger than he is...but not by much!! He's August, I'm November.

Sorry, I know you guys don't want to debate more about this primary, but this article sums up the chaos of the Democratic party this spring and summer:

It's a perfect example of why I do not support HRC.

And you believe Obama would do nothing of this sort?:confused3He's still a politician. His ego's as big as a ballroom, just like Hilary. He wants to win at all costs, just like Hilary. Sorry, I don't understand believing one so completely and disbelieving the other so completely. :confused3

IF it comes down to egos....Obama wins hands down.
Who else in UNKNOWN and writes their autobiography at 34???:confused3

He certainly had lived more than I had in 34 years. It was a very good book. (didn't he write it after the 2004 speech?-or is that just when I read it?)

I just have to say, I don't believe everything I read. Does this line in the link make any sense to anyone:

But one neutral Democratic operative said to me: “If you are Hillary Clinton, you know you can’t get the nomination just with superdelegates without splitting the party. You have to go after the pledged delegates.”

If taking the nomination by swinging the superdelegate vote would split the party(which is legal, although might leave a bad taste in people's mouths), what do people think would happen if you won it by stealing the pledged delegates of another candidate (which would be like taking away the votes of hundreds of thousands of people)???

He's got 8 years on me, but it still feels weird. Amazing to have a frontrunner in the presidential race who's a member of Gen X!! Hopefully, this puts away the "slacker" label once and for all. ;)

WAIT till MY book comes out!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

You're old. Who'd want to read an old person's autobiography. ;)

Obama is older than I am, but not by all that much.

I'm not saying other campaigns don't lay in wait for their oppoents to say or do something they can pounce on. The gotcha moment. They all do it. But this one just doesn't seem like there's anything there. I think they're worried they are running out of time (which they are) and they're just pouncing on anything and everything.

I expected the Clintons to be more politically shrewd than this.

Barry Obama. I never knew that, I've never heard him referred to that way. Does anyone call him that?

I don't think anyone calls him that anymore...

As for the plagiarism, when Clinton was at a Rally a few days ago saying she was fired up and chanting "Yes We Can", I didn't see Obama coming out to say a word. I found it humorous that she tried (with little success) to get the crowd to start chanting.

As for Duval, he says he encourage Obama to use that wording... I'm not holding it against either one of them.

The fact that Clinton is now forcibly trying to seat Florida and Michigan wreaks of desperation, and if the party goes back and allows it, I will be completely disgusted. How can each candidate pledge that these will not be seated and then come forward and forcibly try to get them seated? I'm very serious when I ask this question? What does this say about the motives of that candidate? I find it disgusting, and quite honestly, is this much different than what George Bush does when he roll's over everybody else to get what he wants.... I hate it personally.

I'm having more trouble with the Florida and Michigan issue than I am with the superdelegates. Hillary is on record, I believe it was on Meet the Press on December 30th, saying that Florida and Michigan WILL NOT COUNT because of the DNC decision. To go back now and reverse that just reeks to me. If the situation were reversed and it was Obama doing this, she'd be screaming bloody murder.

I have no doubt that both sides are involved in trying to swing pledges. This is nothing new. Several of HRC's pledged delegates have already bailed on her because their voter base heavily supported Obama and they want to support their wishes, as they are the same voters that will keep them in office.

Hopefully we come to a decision before we have to include MI and FL. If not, I'm sure there will be some sort of concession made, like a mail in re-vote. I can't imagine telling voters before election day that their votes do not count, they stay home on election day, then a month or two later, the DNC says "Oh, that little thing about your votes not counting? Scratch that...they do count." It makes absolutely not sense whatsoever...and it does completely reek of desperation on the Clinton campaigns part. I mean, in Michigan? Along with Kucinich, Hill's name was the only one on the ballot. How can that even remotely be fair?

1 - It wasn't plagiarism. In order for it to have been plagiarism, he would have had to have used something without someone's permission. That isn't the case. Also, it wasn't a speech, it was a bit part of a much longer speech. This is just yet another sign of Hillary's campaign getting desperate and trying to throw anything they can at him hoping something sticks.

2 - Speaking of desperation, the only reason Hillary is even campaigning in Wisconsin is because she finally got the advice that if she doesn't at least keep these races close, it simply won't matter if she wins Ohio, Texas, and Pennsylvania, because she'll be too far behind in the delegate count for it to matter. If she loses yet another race by 20 points in Wisconsin, she'd have to win those races by an equal margin just to make up ground and draw even.

3 - My guess is that Gore, Biden, Pelosi, and company will be closely watching those races in Texas and Ohio. If Hillary doesn't win those and win big...they'll start to step in. They know what's at stake within the party, and they won't let her tear the party apart if she doesn't have a chance to win. If she won't drop out, I'd expect all three to come in heavily on Barack's side. That would pretty much spell the end, in my opinion.

Yep. I agree 100% - change the rules because they benefit me. Good Lord! Grow up and accept defeat by the rules that are stated at the beginning. What an embarassment not only for herself but her party.
