First of all never dumb question ...they are only dumb if you dont ask! lol

Hard to say because he has not endorsed either candidate. It is shown that his voters will be closer to a split between them both with a slight higher margin for Hillary.
Where? Locally? Everything I've read and heard on national news has Edwards supporters leaning towards Obama. :confused3 Edwards supporters tend to be further to the left, like Obama.

They have said that Hillary would have a slight edge because her issues about poverty is more like Edwards....there policys on that were the same....

But I'm not here to get into an argument just pointing out what has been on the news that I have been watching for the most part 27/7....yes I have no life:rotfl2:

No argument. I was just wondering who "they" is.

I honestly think they cant tell because so many polls are crazy....thats what makes this so interesting because no one really knows...

Look what happened with the polls before :confused3

it will be fun to see how it all unfolds....they (the news stations CNN, FOX, HN, MSNBC) say that they are pretty sure that they will see who will have the nomination on the Rep side after today. But that could very well change also.

Its great to be part of History....biggest primary polling day ever, a Woman and a Black man....how cool is that:thumbsup2 Great Country America :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

...I was thrilled to see a crowd of young people waving signs along Route 206 (big commuter route) to support Obama and encourage people to vote.

Seeing how many younger folks are getting involved in this election was one of the reasons I decided to vote for Obama.

:thumbsup2

As a woman in early 40's I have to say that I have never been inspired by a nominee as I am by Obama. It is so important that the younger generation gets involved, and I think he's the man to make it happen. It's time to pass the tourch to a leader who inspires hope, who will raise the bar for all of us.

Thanks for your post. I feel exactly the same way.:goodvibes

The date is 1/20/2009. We have made history since the democratic nomination will either be a black man or a woman. I feel that we will win in November, so I'm booking a hotel now for the inauguaration. I probably won't be able to be close, but I want to be there. What a historical moment, I feel the need to be there.

Anyone else thought about going to DC?

I hadn't, but now I am. :)

Obama is such a breath of fresh air to me. I love that he brings a sense of leadership, quiet dignity, and yes, even humor to the campaign.
We'll have to wait and see whether Clinton is the favorite or not. Obama's comments were, as always, interesting.

Quote: "Senator Barack Obama cast his vote in his hometown of Hyde Park, IL today, quipping: “It was close but in the end I went for Obama.”

Not sure about the national level, but I know five people personally that were Edwards supporters and they are all supporting Hillary now :)

I'd be curious to know if they male? female? Under 40, over 40? Just wondering how they fit in with the national survey demographics.

Very unscientific to ask here, I know...but these trends are interesting to me.

4 females, ages: 53, 49, 36, 33
1 male age:55

I will say the male vote isn't 100% sold on Hillary, but he doesn't care for Obama either. He was a big Edwards supporter.

Now my DH is just as big of a Hillary supporter as I am and I don't think he fits the normal demographics, white male age 42.

I was an Edwards supporter (for '04, too! :sad2: ) and am now backing Obama.

Interesting idea. We went in 01 because our band was marching in the inaugural parade. I refused to leave the hotel room that day, even though we had tickets for the Capital Lawn. While watching on TV as it started, they show a picture of Clinton walking out of the building to the podium with a wide smile. Then they show the shrub walking out with a smirk on his face. I knew for sure we were in trouble then. HOWEVER, going next year again could be great. It was neat to be in town that day anyhow. It was so interesting to ride the metro that night and see the amount of people in tuxes and formal dress heading off to balls. We should all pic a place to meet. A Dis meet at the inaugural. I love it. Maybe even have our own ball.

Well, I did vote for Edwards in the primary, even though he had withdrawn. However, I also voted for the Obama delegates. I'm M/W over 50.

Thanks, jacksonmom. This continues to be a very interesting election year. :goodvibes

I'm planning on being in DC, it will be a historic moment, and I feel the need to be part of it, even if I'm miles away and looking through binoculars.

The GOP numbers from West Virginia shocked me.

100% of the precincts reporting
Huckabee 52%
Romney 47%
McCain 1%

I expect the Huckabee and McCain totals to be the reverse here.

This continues to be a very interesting election year. :goodvibes

Heck yeah! Us Brits are following the Democrats with baited breath - we're finding it absolutely fascinating and rather refreshing.
