This round will be a bit different because I won't be able to finish a whole day in one update. There's too much to cover! Also, next weekend I'm going to Montreal so there won't be another update after today for a while. We were up bright and early the next morning after our great night at RR. We were both feeling the effects of the beer from last night. I for one woke up with a slight headache which didn't really leave me the whole day I only had one beer!

We headed out the door by 6:45am.

It was already very humid out as you can tell by my camera fogging up.

We went straight to Bell Services to fetch a taxi to take us to the Poly for our Ohana breakfast. I didn't want to risk it with the buses. I thought we'd have to wait a few minutes for a taxi but there was one right there waiting for us. It was a whole van just for the two of us.

On our way, the taxi driver mentioned we could have taken a bus. I kindly thanked him for the information but said we didn't want to risk it with the buses. Seeing how they would most likely drop us at MK and we'd have to find a way across the lake. I've run into problems before trying to get to MK early in the morning with the monorail not starting on time. I was almost late once for the Steam train tour. Not cool Disney. But this time there was no being late for us. We got to the Poly by 7am!

Nothing was really open quite yet and the resort seemed pretty deserted that early in the morning. We headed upstairs to sit by Ohana and wait for it to open.

Eventually a CM came around and gave us a flower lei to welcome us to the family.

We were one of the first people to get a table, right by the window. No view of the castle this time though. The food came out pretty much right after we sat down.

That bread was delicious!

They also gave us a platter full of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, and potato wedges. Why they can't give us a plate of Mickey waffles, I'll never know. Really, that is what I'm going to be eating most of! Instead I had to wait for the server to come around each time to give me more.

We were at one of the first few tables the characters came to so we got to see all the characters that we there that day. Finally, Stitch got to meet her favourite, Stitch!

This was one of the first character interactions for Stitch (my friend not the character Stitch ) She wasn't sure what to do. I told her to kid around with them. For example, when Stitch (the character - boy this is going to get confusing!!) was leaving I told him to stay out of trouble. He just glared at me like I was crazy. Stitch was starting to catch on by the end but she said she had a hard time being witty with them.

Next came Lilo

Mickey

and Pluto!

At that moment I missed my dog. Pluto always does that to me!

I had asked for the bill as soon as we sat down so we paid and made our way to MK via monorail. I like Ohana for breakfast but really I don't think I'll need to do it again for a while. I'm a big fruit person and Ohana just seems to skimp out on it. CP is still my favourite for breakfast as far as food quality and atmosphere go. Plus you there's all the Mickey waffles you could ever want whenever you want them. And who can't love the Winnie the Pooh characters?! I must must MUST try Ohana for dinner though. It will be top of the list for the first trip I take next year while Bubba is working.

We got to the front gates by 8:30am and there was already quite a few people ahead of us.

Stitch had never made rope drop to MK so she was very excited when the opening show started.

Who needs kids to experience Disney again for the first time when you can bring your friends?

While we were waiting, there was this lady...

She was wearing denim jeans and a long sleeve hoodie. She was DRIPPING with sweat. The sun was already coming over the horizon and boy, it was HOT. But seriously, if you're coming to Florida, you're going to get sun! Her kids and husband weren't dressed like that so I didn't get it

I had a plan in my head for that morning at MK. Once they started letting us in, I ran ahead of Stitch to head to Tomorrowland. I wanted to get us FPs for Space Mountain but I didn't want to make Stitch run with her sensitive ankle. We decided we'd meet back at the Walt statue in front of the castle. As I was walking, people were literally sprinting towards Tomorrowland. I was like, okay fine I'll run too! I was kinda surprised they weren't stopping us but whatever. I made the shortcut through Tomorrowland Terrace and got right up to the rope.

There was 3 minutes to go before 9am and I was already pouring sweat. I really shouldn't have run. I mean, it already felt like 90+ degrees! Once the rope dropped, I managed to keep to the front. I got behind a woman with 50 tickets so it took a while for her to run through her stack. Once she was done, she ran off to the standby line but she had forgotten one of her KTTW cards. Great. I tried yelling after her but she didn't hear me. Then I tried asking people around me to pass it on to her but nobody paid attention. I couldn't believe how blind people were and how nobody wanted to help me or this woman. The person behind me was going to get in front of me if I didn't hurry up so I got our FPs then went over to the standby line just before this woman went inside to give her the KTTW card. She was very thankful. I was pretty perplexed by the whole situation. I couldn't believe how people just didn't care.

At least I left with our FPs in hand

I tried to forget about how ignorant people can be by admiring the castle.

Then I met up with Stitch before we headed towards Fantasyland for our first ride.

I am totally with you on the waffles at Ohana. We ate there a few trips back, and I was all confused. Leave me my waffles!

I saw people like that on my trip to. With no rhyme or reason why they were wearing what they were. That would so not be me.

So far, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be surprising myself with how many questions I got right this round Oh well... your breakfast at Ohana's sounded like it was very good, but I totally agree about the Mickey Waffles? I'm sure they are popular item so why not whip up a few batches before opening so you have plenty for all guests. SIMPLE! And a big to all the characters you met, especially my main man Pluto!

Out the door by 6:45AM?!?! I'm in awe! I don't think I've been up that early since our ADR day. And I think I was in the processing of waking up around 6:45 as well! I feel if you got up that early, you deserve Mickey waffles.

Aw, sometimes in those situations I feel it gets confusing and people don't want to take blame if something goes wrong. That and I very rarely pay attention to my surroundings/people talking to me because I'm awkward like that.

I knew you had to be there early, so why would I not think you would see all the characters since it was probably the first time they appeared that day? Was good on you going to SM first thing and getting FPs, although that heading to the Standby line after got scary until you only located the lady to return her KTTW. Not sure I would be that nice or considerate.

Totally slipped my mind that Stitch's hurt ankle would impact your plans though, and I needed to factor that into my guesses. Now I'm worried the rest of my answers will be thrown off by your meeting Stitch back at the statue of Walt. Totally expected you to head past the Speedway on the way to Fantasyland and enter from that direction.......

I know some people suffer from being allergic to the sun but I don't think going to Florida would be a good idea.

I'm usually like that too but when something like that happens, I try putting myself in that situation. I'd want someone to give back whatever I lost. Normally I just keep my eyes to the floor or to what I'm doing and forget about what's going on around me. I try to be nice when I can though

You must take time to go inside the MK resorts. They are stunning. That's one thing I love to do when I'm in WDW is to visit other resorts. It helps me decide where I want to stay next time

CP is my most fave of breakfast place to go, for all the reasons you mentioned! Its just so beautiful and cheery in there, the food is great, and the 100 Acre Wood is my fave bunch of characters!

I am hoping to try Ohana this next trip, but for dinner. The ADR I was able to get is 915 pm but I took it! It was such last minute I felt lucky I got that!

Its amazing to me that people can literally be bathing in the magic that is Disney and STILL be self absorbed and unhelpful to others. SMH. That lady was lucky you were the one behind her!

Did you see the new Pooh movie? It was so cute. I was surprised to find no more than usual Pooh paraphenalia even though the movie just came out.

SMH? I'm a bit slow when it comes to abbreviations She was lucky! But now I always think when I find something that belongs to people, I remember when Bubba lost her wallet in WDW. The next day she found it had been turned into Lost & Found with nothing stolen from it. She was so grateful. So I know that, even though it was a KTTW card, this woman was going to be grateful I returned it to her.

Breakfast at Ohana sounds fun. I've always thought that the food is sort of ordinary, but the characters are a good mix, especially for Stitch-lovers.

I'm glad you were able to return that lady's ticket. It's too bad no one seemed willing to help, but perhaps they were simply not paying attention and didn't realize what was going on.
