The cast includes
DW - 41 - let me plan and goes along with most anything
myself - 34 - very into planning and love finding the "cool" things to do
DS - 4 - Can be a bit moody but up for most anything
DD - 2(3 next month) - Very active and always ready to go
We decided not to tell the kids that we were going to disney and let them figure it out. My wife expected my son would realize as soon as we pulled into the train station( Autotrain). I thouht it would take a bit longer.
We left NJ about 9:00, pretty much on schedule. We told the kids that we were going to see some of mommy's friends. Well that's not a total lie
Made great time down to Virgina, had time to stop at Mickey Ds for lunch before heading into the train station right at 2. My son realized where we were ut just kept asking what friends we were going to see. I think he actually knew where we were going, he just decided to play the same game that we were.
As we pull in we get a notice that the train may be delayed due to track work. Well we're not in any rush once we get down there so it shouldn't be a problem I think.
The train pulls out right on time around 4 and we have a rather uneventful evening. We finally get DS to "realize" where we are going and the kids start jumping up and down.
We all the hit the sack at 8:30, hopeful that we won't be too late into FLA.
