What's been going on? Hmmm....well Beccy told you about Pam's friend....Sherry's MIL had surgery and is doing well....we threw cheetos at Michele's MIL!....Jennifer and Kim were haunting me with that icky Apolo dude last night (even did the k-i-s-s-i-n-g rhyme! ewwww) but we got THAT straightend out!!! My "dream guy" looks NOTHIN like that twerp!!!!.....Marilyn said she was boring and lots of people said they were shy but nobody would believe I was shy!!!.....We have a new "bother" !!! Shep has joined the Ya Ya ranks but has yet to do the nekkid dance!....Jason made a visit or two but the long post scared him away!!!....I leave for the World in a few short days and will meet Michele and her kids and Jason Lyons!! Should be FUN!!....I have the Christmas Spirit major league and it is NOT pretty...CAN"T______STOP______DECORATING!!!!!!....Nancy, Kim and Elaine are back from dis-con and everybody took turns kicking Elaine last night because she wouldn't keep working on posting her pics...all 1700 of them!!!!

Absolutely horrid day here.......

The neighbor rang the doorbell before 9:00 am, and wanted to know if one of our cats was a tiger striped one. Yes. WEll - he just got hit by a van and is dead...... It was James Bond, DS's cat. DS is taking the news very hard. We lost our cat Larrietta Magillacuddy around New Year's and got 2 new cats in April.

Talked to friends, house is condemned, contents a total loss. Fire was electrical and just went through the entire house so fast. The fire department (which is just down the street from them) was on the scene within 6 minutes after receiving the call and couldn't believe how fast the fire swept through there.

A co-worker just got diagnosed with cancer and has to have surgery next week. It's bad.

Kim, I was reading about Cam's paper and all the excuses he gives you, and I was wondering if he was in one of my classes at school? It sounds to me like he is a normal kid. You can't believe the excuses that I have heard lately.

Well, the lustre as worn off Mrs. Feller. I caught two girls cheating today. Well, actually someone informed me that some students had the answers written on their arms. Now here is the stupid part. The quiz was over 5 helping verbs that they were to memorize. It was only a 10 point quiz. The students are going to eventually memorize all 23 helping verbs by next Wednesday. These two little idiots(sorry if I offend) wrote the 5 words on their arms. Before the quiz, I checked the arms of all students and low and behold there were the verbs. I told the girls to wash them off and then let them take the quiz. A zero on a 10 point quiz is not a drastic enough consequence so I talked it over with the team and they will be calling their parents on Monday and telling them what they did. They will also get a detention. As for the quiz, one of the girls knew the words and the other did not. I can't believe that they did this for 5 words. I talked to them and let them know that from now on they will be sitting next to me for future assignments. They have to prove themselves to me before I can trust them ever again. So, was I too lenient or too hard.

About the cheating...the quiz seems like it wasn't a big deal grade-wise so I can't help but wonder WHY ON EARTH they would feel compelled to have to CHEAT??? Are you threatenin' 'em with hot sketti? Seriously, I think you showed them just the right mix of compassion and serious concern.

I'm not SKIMMING I've read ALL your gems...but I don't want to bore SHEP.

Are all of you sitting down? My 14-1/2 year old DD and her best friend just invited me to go to the movies with them. This is after I have already said I would take them and pick them up. And they even said that I don't have to sit away from them. I am headed for the thermometer, I think I need to check their temperatures.....

Attention please! It has come to our attention that there is a mad woman running down the highway in the Shenandoah Mountains. She seems to have a bag of garland, trees, and lime green Christmas balls over her shoulder. She was seen earlier in a Snow White outfit, but seems to have changed now into Belle's Christmas cape. Last time the police heard, she was chasing cars trying to put wreaths on them and yelling "It's going to be a very Disney Christmas!!!!" The police have asked that they be called if she is spotted as she may be armed and dangerous, and definitely should not be approached. We now send you back to your regular programming.

So Elaine, where is Kim's competition?

Pam, I'm so sorry you've lost DS's cat, especially after losing the other just a year ago. I will continue to keep your friend and her family in my prayers. That is just so awful about their house. The emotional pain must be indescribable. You really got hit with a double whammy today with the cat and the news about your coworker. Hi all. Finally got a chance to check in. Just been one of those days. Plus DW isn't feeling well. Tis the season, I suppose.

Ok, time to make this a *long* post. Shep, feel free to skip this part. Kimmie, remember your encounter with law enforcement a while back? Where they told you you did something wrong while out traveling around? Get this... I didn't even have to leave the house to get in trouble. I got a letter today from the city in which I live. Seems that they felt obligated to tell me I am violating a city code. Odd... I've lived in this house 7 years & haven't changed the way I do things. The letter states that, get this, since one car in my driveway (rear entry thru an alley) isn't parked *FULLY* on the driveway, I am violating city ordinance something or other. Um, pardon me, but the car is *2 feet* off the driveway. I have to do that b/c when they built the house, they gave us what they called a 2 car garage. But for some reason, here in the land of pick-ups, SUVs and minivans, you can't fit two of them in the garage. I can't even park them next to each other on the driveway. Just not enough room. Another 2 feet further & there's a fence. Up to the fence, it's all my property. Nobody walks thru there except those who trespass. Plus, it's in the *BACK* of the house. Sooooo, if I haven't corrected this by their next visit, I'll be subject to fines each day they find this violation. And since I work at home, I pretty much *have* to leave a car floating around somewhere.

Another fine examples of my tax dollars at work. Sheesh.....

You kept raising your hand and yelling "yo, barkeep, another one over here! Lets see if this little virtual babe can keep up with the rest of us!". I was only about 1/4 the size of anyone else there, so the alcohol went straight to my pigtails! Then the next morning I told you I had a hangover, but noooooo, you insisted I was fine and told me a ride on Dumbo would make me feel better, you know, fresh air and all. Well! You just had to make it go up and down, up and down. And don't think I didn't hear you laughing when I hurled! (Oh, I hope that poor kid below us got cleaned up OK).
