Beccy, our ds's are the same age....homework and projects are FUN aren't they??? David has a rough couple of teachers this year...tons of homework...much more than my 12 year old. Lately he has started taking HOURS to get this stuff done. It should take no longer than an hour!! He sings, flips his pencil in the air, tells jokes...to HIMSELF!!!....cries because life isn't fair and he has too much homework and don't they know he needs to play...yada yada yada. It is driving me insane!!!! I am taking a hands off approach hoping that once he figures out he has NO play time because he isn't focusing on the job at hand and just getting it DONE he will snap out of this thing!!!! Secretly I agree with him...an 8 year old should NOT have that much homework...they HAVE been in school all day for pete's sake!!! But my complaints have fallen on deaf ears. Sigh....is it Christmas yet???

Jeannie...please don't be concerned about me "floating away"....there is lots more biking to be done before that is a legitimate fear!!! Now maybe by June......

I sorta caught up on the mothiness from last night. Will have to read the rest later as its almost time to wake up the boys!

Jonathan threw up all throughout the day yesterday. Hopefully he'll feel better when he wakes up this morning. Poor guy.
Now I just need the other boys to hold off on getting this until after Sunday.

Hi Beccy! What a stupid thing for those people to do. I would have been furious!!

Thanks for the prayers & PD for my MIL. My SIL called again last night and said that she was doing well. She wasn't allowed any visitors yesterday so she could rest and let the anesthesia wear off. She is supposed to be in the hospital for 4 days, but they said she *might* be able to come home Sat. if she continues to do as well as she has been.

Kim, my boys do the same thing as Cam when it comes to reports. Drives me insane!

Michele, I am bummed that Ted is gone. I really liked him and wanted to see him in the Top 2. I am ticked at Bryan & Helen, now, so I want Jan & Clay in the Top 2!

Well, I better run and get these rugrats up and ready for school.

I am so bummed over last night's Survivor......... I despise Clay. I think Helen had to go with the voting block but she and Jan are gonna regret not ousting Brian and Clay in the long run.

My friends did lose everything in the fire - the house was stone, so the walls are still standing, so is the roof, but the entire inside is gutted and water-logged. Don't know yet what caused it. They are holding up much better than I would
be.

Kim, aaahhh, the memories you are bringing back to me. DS used to stretch my patience like a rubber band when it came to stuff like that! Oh, and by the way, he is 33 now, the rubber band has since snapped, and we are now working on stretching a bungee cord! But I love him dearly.

Singing, pencil flipping, jokes, crying, can I have a drink, I'm hungry, (SIT UP CAMERON!!! We have a kitchen booth w/ a bench. He constantly flops over on the bench) I have to go to the bathroom THEN I'll be ready to start, the dog needed to go out, the dog need to come in, the cat distracted me, I had to kill that fly, I'm hungry again, where's my favorite pencil... I CAN'T do my penmanship without my good pencil, I was outside in the front yard because I heard a noise and I had to see what it was, I had to kill that spider that was in the corner of the living room, I'm hungry, I have a headache, I'm just TOO TIRED!!! God, do they ever run out of excuses?!? You could've done that math paper 15 times in the time it took you to explain to me why you can't do it!!!

Sooo... what you're saying Marilyn, is that there's no hope? They never grow out of it? Actually, I believe it... Cam's dad is the same way. I absolutley hate asking him to do something more than once. Nagging drives me NUTS... I try very hard not to do that to him, but it seems that if I don't mention something 3 or 4 times it goes in one ear and out the other. Actually, I really can't complain too much, because honestly... I'm just as bad.

I'm back! But soooo tired and have so much to do.
I don't know if I will ever catch up in the lodge or the Dis boards at all.
We had a great time!! (Even though it rained 2 days ....hard, was Very cold one day). We had a relapse of our colds
And today I feel like sh**!!

I don't know how much I will be on for the next couple days...you know, errands, cleaning , unpacking....and still Christmas decorations and tree to put up.

It was nice meeting Kim, Elaine (way to short a visit) and Karen (that was a nice longish one). It was easier than I thought it would be.

Carol, Jeannie (and hattie too) had a wonderful time. I think we managed to do everything on your "lists".
Some day (hopefully soon). I will get you more details and pictures off to you.

I also enjoyed meeting several other Disers that were there for DisCon......I missed Beth, Beanie and Michele though
And I did run into 3 others later in the trip.

So off to run errands for now and then hopefully a MUCH needed nap (gotta get drugs!!)
