Yes, Jodie, today is play hookie and see HP day! :bounce:

We'll be leaving in a bit. Gotta run to the bank before we head to the theater. Luckily the bank is on the way to the boy's schools so they won't think anything! :teeth: We're gonna take a back way to the theater, too. :teeth:

Hmm... a barn, 'eh? Tell your DD that is a great idea, Jodie! :teeth:

Kim, your right, you can't go wrong w/ a WOW CD. I love them. And NCM is just awesome. We bought the Plus One Christmas CD a couple weeks ago. Very good CD. My boys really like Plus One. :)

Nancy, enjoy your day at the theater! I am so excited!! :bounce:

JAY!!! I LOVE MWS!!!!!
I am sooo jealous!! And Third Day, too!! AAAHHH!!

Be sure to take lots of pics!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

So much to say...so much to day....I'll probably forget to day everything!!! Ok here's my try to catch up with everyone.

Nancy...Thank goodness you weren't here last night!!! I actually got some sleep :) You are just too fun to chat with!

Umm....Jodie....barn? Uh...while Paige would totally agree (She's counting the days until she's 9 and I will pet her ride).....I'm gonna have to think on that one. I think it's cool that you've shared the yayas with dd though :)

Poor Kim...how's the neck today? I know all too well what it's like to have pain that won't go away. (Not as much as Jay though) {{{hugs my friend!}}}}

Karen....how's the tummy today? I've missed you.

Michele....I've been packing our boxes....but I don't know what to do with your box of chiggers?

Nancy and Sherry....I'm sooo jealous!! We have tickets for 10:15 tomorrow morning.....can't wait!!!

Lars...YES it's open to the public!!! In fact there are several craft shows around town on that day. It's a really fun, little village thing to do. I'll pm you info if you want.

HI BETTY!!!!

Hi to all!!! Ok, off to get this and that done.

Good morning Ya Yas!

Oh, Carol!! Those wonderful croissants again. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou!!!! I promise I will stop at one. (My new jeans are a size smaller and I don't want to outgrow them!!!)
By the way, I found a perfectly wonderful set of bed linens with matching drapes for our new Ya Ya home! Gorgeous pastel aqua and white background with dolphins playing throughout! The dolphons are a lovely silvery grey. Whattaya think?

How 'bout you, Marilyn? You like the "fishy" theme? I was thinkin' of maybe chrome instead of brass for my new bed, too. Or maybe all white, but not French provincial--too fussy for me! The antlers will be fine in the den, dear. You won't have to put them away. I believe we're doing the den in honey oak with all leather furniture arround a sunken fireplace. The bearskin rug should provide a nice contrast to the wood, leather and lime green. Hmmmm.......since the fireplace is round, maybe we ought to pick up a couple more bearskins so it is completly surrounded......Just a thought

Hi, Betty!!! Hope you see this when you get home tonite and skim thru our day here at the mansion!! Nobody hurled yesterday, huh? I guess that's progress!

Ahhh, Jodie! The joys of being a den mother!!! I remember that, only I had 13 boys in my den! And yes, they were like wild animals when they got a little sugar in them!!! LOL!!!!! But so much fun and so rewarding. Now about the barn--not a bad idea, actually. I have seen some wonderful pix of remodeled/converted barns in House Beautiful and the like. Love the high ceilings!!! Just think of the Christmas tree we could put up!!!!!

Kim, ya gotta admit, music sure makes life a lot easier to take! What would we do without it to lift our spirits?!! Just be careful of your neck/shoulder when you start dancing with the vacuum cleaner!!!

Sweet dreams, Debbie! Hope to see you later this evening. So, are you going to room with somebody or pick out your own room when we move? We'll try to save you a chocolate croissant or two for when you get up.

Karen, I am so glad your tummy is treating you so much better! Just stay away when Kim or Pam is in the kitchen--their concoctions don't sit right with anybody!! (although, Pam's DS seems to think what she cooks at home is OK--maybe it's just here.....) You should definitely take Marilyn up on her offer to cook the a "welcoming meal". From what I've heard, she's a dynamite cook!!

Michele, hope you got the kids up and out the door on time and you have a lovely day!

OH!! Jay, thanks for the TRU tip. I will check there first since it's the same shopping center as Costco. Keep your fingers crossed that I get my package in the mail today!!!

Gotta look busy for awhile--today's PAYDAY!!!!!
Later,
Beth

Wooooh....it's quiet here this afternoon!!....echo echo echo....... Ya'll didn't move without me did you?

Ok, the new TV was supposed to be delievered between 10:30 and 12:30 today.....it is now 12:35 and I have to go get Emily in 15 min. How annoyed do you think I am??????

ok....it's 1:20 and the tv showed up. No word about the fact that he was 50 min late  Oh well, Now I can move on with my day......

Hellllloooooooo............

Hello Jennifer. Have you been all alone all afternoon? Sorry. :(

Yeah, don't you just love when delivery people don't show up within the window time-frame? Sorry you had to wait. Who picked up Emily?

OK, I am here with a RL major vent. DH and I have always had an unpublished phone number. I am very particular who I give our number to. Well, my 2 bosses and the other managers have my number, as I have theirs, for Disaster Recovery purposes. That is fine. My bosses secretary keeps them on a spreadsheet, and I have the spreadsheat at home in case I need it. I just found out the first department got a little "phone directory" today. It has EVERYONE'S telephone number and cell phone number in it! I do not want everyone to have my number! I think we should have been asked if we wanted our number in there or not. I just find that to be an invasion of my privacy. From what I understand, a lot of people are pretty upset about this. Am I over-reacting?

Beth, love the decorating ideas for the bedroom. How about you Carol? And the den sounds great! I vote for the rugs all around the fireplace. Anyone else? (Sounds like the den might end up being the most "used" room in the beach house. Maybe we should put doors on it);)

(We would never move without you Jen).

Good afternoon everybody!!

I swear that is the shortest "night" I have ever had. LOL:p

It's time to pick up the oldest DS from school, drive over to the elementary school to wait for the youngest DS to finish basketball practice, only to come home, shower them both, feed them, and return them to the high school by 5:45pm for a tournament. All this before I have to be at work at 7pm. I will be dragging tonight. Thank goodness the boss seen fit not to have me work those scheduled five 12 hour shifts right before we leave for DL and the four 12 hours this weekend are bad enough.

Beth, I'm not sure...maybe since I'm such a youngun' I should probably share a room if anyone would have me.;) OOOhhh...I just love chocolate crossiants, mmmm. I hope there some available??!!I could use a couple and a good strong cup of coffee.

The barn idea sounds fabulous...I'm sure that we could swap out the cabana boys for young, studly ranch hands dressed in tight fitting, worn out jeans and a smile.;) Keep me posted...I'll try to keep up this weekend. After a night like last night...shoo...I'll need some friendly conversation...err...maybe not so friendly...:p ;)

TGIF for all those working YaYas!! Enjoy your evening...gotta dash.

Jen-

Sorry the repairman has taken so long...hope everything turns out ok.:D

Marilyn,
Because you begged so nicely - and it is the season of peace, joy and love........ I have decided I'm in a benign and gracious mood, and hereby am removing your name from my "crap list.":smooth:

Nancy,
DS surprised me a little with that compliment. Usually all that comes out is, "Feed me." (Which totally flips me out.)

Beth,
You and Nancy (and everyone else) will be shocked to know that DH and DS are both hunters and they eat everything that the shoot: deer, pheasant, squirrel, duck, goose. They have even eaten bear, elk, and beaver!!

Pam

Jodie,
Could we make a few modifications to your DD's suggestion and live on a dude ranch?? We could use the barn for our "famous" square dances.

Debbie's (daMom) suggestion of hunky ranch hands is good, very, very good. I am glad that I followed my heart and left her off my "crap list.";)

Pam

Marilyn, I don't think you are overreacting!! We have an unpublished number too and give it to NO ONE ( don't you feel special Jodie ;) ) The girls schools publish a student directory every other year and they always send out a release form to every family before including our numbers.

You cell phone number included is even more outragous!!! For us that one goes to the schools for emergencies and to my scout parents when we are on trips. I don't want to pay for someone to call me on my cell to chit chat!!!! I would make a stink about it!!!! (hey....anyone esle ever miss type CHIT and almost miss changing it? ;) :p )

Forgot to ask - Debbie, how old are your boys?

Sherry - how surprised were your guys when they found out they got to play hooky and go to the movies?

DS and I did that when the Star Wars Episode I hit the screens. And DD and I take a least one day a year and skip and do lunch at a nice restaurant and sometimes go shopping or cruising the University to look at guys! My bad.....;)

Pam

Jennifer!!! "Chit" almost happened to me the other day!!! HAAHAHAH!! Oh man...that is one of my few pet peeves...late delivery people!!! It is sooooooo rude!!! Speaking of "chit chat" I have a funny story for ya'll that I got from a fiend of mine today:

friend of mine claims that while flying from Seattle to San Francisco
the Flight Attendant reading the flight safety information had the
whole plane in hysterics. He took out his laptop and typed up what she
said so he wouldn't forget:

Before Takeoff:

"Hello and welcome to Alaska flight 438 to San Francisco. If you're
going to San Francisco, you're in the right place. If you're not going
to
San Francisco, you're about to have a really long evening.

"We'd like to tell you about some important safety features of this
aircraft. The most important safety feature we have aboard this plane
is
"The Flight Attendants!" Please look at one now.

There are 5 exits aboard this plane, 2 at the front, 2 over the wings,
and one out the plane's rear end. If you're seated in one of the exit
rows,
please do not store your bags by your feet. That would be a really bad
idea.

Please take a moment and look around and find the nearest exit. Count
the rows of seats between you and the exit. In the event that the
need arises to find one, trust me, you'll be glad you did.

We have pretty blinking lights on the floor that will blink in the
direction of the exits. White ones along the normal rows, and pretty
red ones
at the exit rows.

In the event of a loss of cabin pressure, these baggy things will drop
down over your head. You stick it over your nose and mouth like the
Flight Attendant is doing now. The bag won't inflate, but there's oxygen
there, I promise. If you are sitting next to a small child, or someone
who is acting like a small child, please do us all a favor and put on
your mask first. If you are traveling with two or more children, please

take a moment now to decide which one is your favorite. Help that one
first, and then work your way down.

In the seat pocket in front of you is a pamphlet about the safety
features of this airplane. I usually use it as a fan when I'm having
my own
personal summer. It makes a very good fan. It also has pretty
pictures. Please take it out and play with it now.

Please take a moment now to make sure your seat belts are fastened low
and tight about your waist. To fasten the belt, insert the metal tab
into the buckle. To release, it's a pully thing - not a pushy thing
like you're car cuz you're in an airplane ~ hello!

There is no smoking in the cabin on this flight. There is also no
smoking in the lavatories. If we see smoke coming from the lavatories,
we
will assume you are on fire and put you out. This is a free service we
provide. There are two smoking sections on this flight, one outside each

wing exit. We do have a movie in the smoking sections tonight, hold on,
let me check what it is . Oh here it is, the movie tonight is 'Gone with

the Wind'.

In a moment we will be turning off the cabin lights, and it's going to
get really dark, really fast. If you're afraid of the dark, now would
be a
good time to reach up and press the yellow button. The yellow button
turns on your reading light. Please don't press the orange button
unless you absolutely have to. The orange button is your seat ejection
button. We're glad to have you with us on board this flight.

Thank you for choosing Alaska Air, and giving us your business and your
money. If there's anything we can do to make you more
comfortable, please don't hesitate to ask. If you all weren't strapped
down, you would have given me a standing ovation, wouldn't you?"

After Landing:

"Welcome to the San Francisco International Airport. Sorry about the
bumpy landing. It's not the captain's fault. It's not the co-pilot's
fault. It's the Asphalt. Please remain seated until the plane is parked
at the gate. At no time in history has a passenger beaten an airplane
to
the gate. So please don't even try. Please be careful opening the
overhead bins because shift happens.

Is that a hoot or what??? Just a little comic relief on this Friday!
Jennifer, I AM honored!! And Marilyn...that STINKS!! I would be furious...esp about the cell phone!!! That was a pretty thoughtless move!!

Hey! I got Harry Potter tickets for tonight!!!! WooHoooo....quidditch anyone?? Hee hee...stood in line for 30 minutes with some adult "closet" Harry Potter lovers waiting for tickets. Can't wait!!!

Long post

I am heading out shortly to the next round of HS Football Playoffs! WooHoo! And the snow is supposed to hold off until tomorrow!!

Pam

Have fun at the playoffs Pam!!! And send some of that snow down here ok? I'll take some of it off of your hands!!

Jodie,
Thanks for the HUGE laugh over the airplane talk! I've been on a couple of Southwest flights where the attendants talked like that! But that Alaska Air definitely takes the prize for being over the top funny!

Pam

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I've always thought that if I had to fly ALASKA AIRLINES:eek:...they'd BETTER have Jerry SEINFELD on board and a few stiff drinks, it looks like they're heading in the right direction, HILARIOUS! :p:p

I like the DUDE ranch, let's keep the DUDE's in the DUDE CORRAL...better look out for my LASSO...LASSO-IN' LILBOO! :p:p

YEEEHHAAAAA!

That was great Jodi! Thanks for taking the time to type that. And have fun at the movie.

Pam, have a good time and drive carefully. Glad the snow is going to hold off.

They have even eaten bear, elk, and beaver!!

ROFLMAO

Yeah, I really think we should have been asked before they did that. My boss is out of town right now, but I plan on telling him I am not happy about it. He's one of the partners, so I goin' to the top!

Woo Hoo. Sounds like after the beach house, it will be off the the barn/dude ranch! Jodi, tell DD she can be our real estate agent from now on.

Hee hee....I will tell dd everything ya'll said about her "barn "idea....well maybe not quite everything!!:p She thinks ya'll are awesome and old Mom is getting brownie points in the silly dept.!;) Now if I told these stories to her friends she might look like this...  :o :o :o

Forgot to tell ya'll...I mailed my Ya Ya ornament today! Somebody will be getting a box on Monday or Tuesday...and I'm not tellin who! Neener neeeener neener!!:p
