The dinner I planned went pretty well except they did give us a problem and ended up paging the chef to make sure of what he said we could do. Wasted some of our alone time trying to get that straightened out. The dinner was WONDERFUL though and we actually strolled around the resort peacefully and shopped at the store there peacefully afterwards. I had planned on the hot tub but it was WAY too cold for that.

Im feeling pretty good. Discovered something sort of by accident. If I have a drink AND take the nausea meds they work better for me. Not the best thing to do but it helped me to realize something and now I have something to go to the doctor with. It has to do with me being able and my stomach being able to relax enough for me to eat. In a round about way Im on to something here.

Im glad to hear Elaine made it safe and sound!!! Whew. Now we have to hear from Beth!

Nancy I sure hope I get the chance to meet you at one of the DisCon mini meets or maybe we could set something up while we are there.

It sounds like you had a very nice time and dinner at the AKL. Did you get a Savannah View room?

Hopefully the doctor will be able to prescribe something that can relax your stomach for you. (You need to eat, girl!!)

You think it's cold in Florida??? Haaaaaaaaa........ try 20º right now up here in Penna. - and I don't even know what the wind chill is - but it cuts right through a person. We've got around 4 inches of snow since last night.

And yes, maybe your doctor could okay the drink.....or come up with something else that would relax your stomach.

What days are you there next?
We're fairly free Sat......just resort hopping to look at decorations. I know that is when the AK meet is though. We have PS at Whispering Canyon for lunch that day.
Friday we'll be at EPCOT all day and Sunday is our AK day.
Let me know if anything works......oh, we're doing downtown and PI Saturday evening.

Nancy the only things we have planned right now is MVMCP on the evening of the 6th which is Friday and the AK meet on Saturday the 7th. We will be there from the late afternoon of the 6th through mid day on the 8th. I hope we can get together!

Im sure after the doc finishes telling me about the evils of drinking alcohol on this med he will realize that I really am on to something here LOL.

I will be keeping everything crossed until you tell us that your daughter made it back to campus safely.......hmmm now walking to the potty might get interesting in this position

Tiggerlover mailed, they're back ok. It took them over 8 hours here but only 7 going back. They get great scenery though - the Alps for one!

Glad to hear that Elaine's arrived safely. It'll seem awfully quiet next week...

I think we are all meeting around 9 AM at the enterance. At least I remember there was talk of that. Ohhhhhh Kimmie HELP I dont remember ROFL. Elaine has been making up Kims Schedule ROFL


AKL was lovely except it is VERY spread out. We loved the view, but the rooms were really no bigger than the ones at CBR. Everything was a major walk away for us. Mara, the pool, playgroud, hot tubs. Boma and the lobby were the only close things to our room. Mara didnt open until 6:30 which made it interesting for us because dh and I are major early risers. I smoke and there is NO smoking in the rooms or on the balcony so every time I wanted a cigarette I had to go out to the lobby and out the front doors (about a block walk) which included a flight of stairs. I now have very strong leg muscles ROFL. They did do a few things to make our stay nice. They got us the exact table we wanted for Tday dinner at Boma after we told them how phobic I am when stuck in a crowd of people. They also did a special night scope viewing just for us because when we went out the night before no one was there. We got our own guide and she took us all over the resort with the night vision glasses. The rooms are also very dark. I know it sets the ambiance of the resort but it made even reading the phone buttons interesting and to me made the room seem smaller. I also didnt care for the fact that there are cameras EVERYWHERE on the savannah aimed at your room. I mean I wasnt going to parade around but it made me very self conscious on the balcony. I would have liked to have cuddled out on the balcony the night we had alone but I wouldnt because someone is watching you LOL. Please dont get me wrong the resort is WONDERFUL and Im glad we stayed there but its just not my favorite. I guess Im more of a moderate type of girl LOL. Though I did like the Poly when we stayed there also.

Yes!! I did Carol! They are great! I wore mine out shopping yesterday and it was so nice not to have to take my gloves on and off the get Emily buckled in her car seat....unlock the trunk...pay the bill......Might make a pair for Emily's teacher.

Lazy day here in the Driscoll lodge. I recycled, went to the pharmacy for some necessary drugage ......got christmas cards at the card shop, now I am playing a computer game in front of the fire watching a movie.....oh...did I mention pizza delivery man is on his way?

Glad to hear my buddy is down there safe and sound. Glad to see you're HOME safe and sound Karen!
