We're supposed to go out for dinner tonight. I thought Italian was on the menu. DS wants KFC or McD !

Popcorn would be great, been thinking of snacking on some for a couple days. But my microwave is broken.

Blech! I hope your Mickey D's tastes better than NZ, but I don't like either if I ccan help it. I like the grocery store fried chicken better than KFC.

Nope. McD tastes as bad all over the world.

I've put in an order for Chinese noodles. DH can do the running around if he wants to indulge DS with McD.

I've been thinking of stove popping some popcorn but it's not the same as from the microwave bag.

It was funny on our trip to NZ the only thing we found that tasted right was Fish & Chips and we ate a lot of that. Even the steaks I bought at the market and cooked myself did not taste like beef. About a week into the trip we found a McDonald's and thought with their consistency standards it would taste like home. It tasted weird.

Not that I like McDonald's but we unfortunately end up there much more than I like. I get the yogurt parfait and their salads as much I can.

Wow! Do you have any of those pans where the foil top pops up? Those were so good, much better than microwave !

I suspect that you're just used to meat produced with growth hormones.........or the meat aging process is a bit different??

We've moved to buying organic meat (from the market). The taste was totally different at the start. It was so meaty....earthy.....bloody.

I'll assume that this is a brand name in the US.

By itself and translating to Australian definitions.....I would be thinking of a cleaning/scouring sponge in a fizzy drink.

Yeah, it's a brand name of the kind of popcorn you cook in a foil pan on top of the stove.

I feel the same way about eating beef in the US. It always tastes different to me.

Aussie beef is mostly grass or grain fed....some with extras.
