So why don't they hand out shot guns and have a killing day on rabbits?

Like a whacking day for snakes, but with a legitimate reason.

And if you seen a lot of frogs together, they hop all over eachother.

Cane toads....we have a cane toad problem. :rotfl:

The state of Queensland and Northern Territory have a real problem with the cane toads. Again, it was introduced to control an insect that was affecting sugar cane.

The residents of QLD and NT tend to go out and collect the toads and kill them.

First you shine it. When you shine a flashlight at it to blind it. Then you fork it. You stick a long handled fork into it.

Sometimes both, usually the later are considered a bit cruel. But when dealing with pest, I could care less.

I'm hoping to kill some gophers tonight.

Tuned the page to 200. That's all for me. Good night to me, good afternoon to you down there.

I actually know how to pith cane toads (legacy of a mis-spent youth). I think its a similar technique. Thing is....to be humane about it, you need to stick the needle straight in between the eyes until it hits the back of the skull and then you need to twist the needle around to kill the toad quickly.

I think that's why the Aussies catch the toads rather than fork them.

The legacy of the Whitlam government lives on today...he destroyed many things...
So yes... it is one of the worst things. It's LEGACY has affected the Australian Economy irrevocably.
My mother lived here before and after him. As did my Grandmother. They were both born here.
As such I take the word of the REAL experience of living under those times...

Cane Toads are not 'collected' by Queenslanders...rather smacked with golf clubs by them

 Long day at work? How've you been?

Frustrating...
All our files are team files.....so kept on a server....so dependent on the internal server working....and our internet connection working...

We've had the Server basically offline for half of Friday and all but two hours today. :headache: And a slowed internet connection for most of today too.
There is no extension on deadlines yet we have two less days to do what we need to do...:sad2:
I need a holiday...:rolleyes1

How's your saltmine? Your contract up soon? You know what's ahead :flower3:
Or afoot.... :upsidedow

We've been having very Melbourne weather over the weekend so this house looks like a Chinese Laundry. :laundy:
Today was beautiful though

Sorry that you're having IT issues at work. That should not be allowed to happen in this day and age; but it's an all too familiar issue.

Your holiday is....what.....next week? :thumbsup2

My salt mines should be okay. We've pretty much done all the hard yakka and it's on a slow decline to mid/late September.

I have no idea what's next but I'll figure it out when I head back to the headoffice.

If you've had Melbourne weather, then most of your laundry should be dry. We've had temps in the 20's all weekend and today. It's been blue sky, gentle breeze, sunshine and sneezes for me.

I know it's still early...but it's bedtime for me. We had a friend drop in tonight and we shared a bottle of wine with him. I've had more alcohol than I'm used to and am pretty tired. So, if I go to bed now, I'm likely to sleep (and snore) through the night.

Good night and I hope to catch you sometime this week or so.

Take Care
I understand the sleepy wine affect...

:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao:

Good morning all, hope everyone has a great day! Will be gone most of the day I think. Going to help someone pack, as we help move them this coming weekend. Save me a spot for last. Please?

Someone told me to keep them. I had a different signature picture but haven't been able to find it. It will be snowing soon enough.

I like your snowflakes!

Good morning everyone! The Expo is over, while I wish I saw more, there is only so much getting up and out the door before 8AM and staying out until 10PM! We'll be checking out at noon (with twice as much loot as we came with. We have a 2PM with the contractor and we're aiming to be back on our way to GCH at 4:30 to make sure we are in the restaurant on time.
