we are having a cheezy meal this year. Since its only 12 of us, I am only making ham, green bean casarole, mash tatoes, and salad and Cake for dessert. Is that sad, should I go back to the store???? usually we have a few different veggies, sweet and mash totatoes, salad, jello, pie, cake, lamb and ham........

DD just called to thank me for the box of candy we sent. First time she's called home in about six weeks. She text messages every couple of days but I haven't actually talked to her for about six weeks. It's been tough.

hopefully you got to talk a little longer than just thanks for the candy. I hate it when my brother does that to my mom. only text and email, then for b-days and holidays a phone call. He is getting better, but he's also been married for 6 years now

No, I wouldn't run back to the store! That sounds like enough of a variety! One meat, two veggies and a salad!

We talked for a while - but it was just surface stuff. No real feeling. It's hard. I'm still crying. Sorry for being a downer on Easter. Letting go was hard enough but this is different than just letting her live her own life.

My DH is usually pretty good with planning the holiday meals and with helping with the cooking. Of course, he's back in bed right now!
