I was wrong... I'm not on our last day!

I haven't told you about our second half of the day to Animal Kingdom.
We'd just finished up at DHS and were headed to Animal Kingdom. We really didn't know what kind of crowds we would find there but the 'must do's' were Primeval Whirl, Dinosaur, EE, It's Tough To Be a Bug, Kilamanjaro Safaris and anything else that struck our fancy along the way.
When we arrived, we decided it would be best to head to EE and get fp's. Found this friend along the way...
The kids wanted a picture with the parrots...
And in the distance... you can see our first destination...
We got our fp's with no problem for EE and were headed over to DinoLand next. I honestly do not have any photos of what we did next... we walked on to Primeval Whirl, which was a pleasant surprise... my kids love this but it is not the most fun to wait in line for when the line is long... I'm spoiled to all of the fun queues Disney has to offer on the other rides. Next, we had to take a potty break.

It's always the boys... We were sort of hungry but thought we'd try to ride Dinosaur first. It was only a 20 minute wait that actually ended up being about 10 minutes. I was very thankful that our Animal Kingdom half-day was moving so smoothly.
After Dinosaur, we went to see It's Tough To Be a Bug. We promised Nate we would not sit up close this time and he had a much better experience with the show. After the show, it was time to go back and use our fp's for EE. Now if you will remember, Nate was a little teary eyed the first time we rode this ride... actually cried when the 'train' left for the journey... this time, he was more prepared. Since there were now five of us... Nolan said he'd ride single so I could ride with Nate and Eddie with Erin... our two lil chickens.
Here is brave Nolan in the fp line, almost to the front...
Here is Nate mimicking Nolan's bravery... no way is he going to let his brother out do him...
Did they love the ride??? We can let this picture do the talking for that answer....
After EE, we decided we would go get fp's for Kilamanjaro Safari. We hadn't been able to do that yet. On our way, we saw this guy....
We were able to get our fp for a decent return time - in 30 minutes. So we decided to grab a bite at a snack stand we saw earlier that was boneless chicken wings. This was actually a quick service and the kids thought they would like this cuisine. I can't remember the name of the stand...
Anyway - NOT a favorite. You could pick between teriyaki chicken or garlic. We liked that but the service was really_really bad. We were supposed to each have a drink, a bag of chips and a serving of wings. Let's just get out of the way that we never got the chips...

But while they were putting the wings on the ONE tray they were giving us (there are 5 people in my family, remember) along with 5 BIG drinks with no straws or lids because it's AK after all... the lady spilled one of the drinks in one of the chickens and ALMOST gives it to me with chicken swimming in soda pop.

Really?!?! I'm not usually one who speaks up about too much that I don't consider to be a huge deal but I couldn't help myself... I looked at her and said "Are you really going to go ahead and give that to me after the pop has been spilled all over it?" She looks at me like I'm an alien, throws the swimming chicken away... Erin's dying of embarassment... which I loved... and the lady replaces the chicken. NOW it's up to me to carry this ONE tray with the chicken and drinks with no lids and a wandering husband who's since disappeared 'to go find a table.' REALLY????

I maybe make it about 5 steps before people in the line behind me start saying "Oh honey, you need some help... you're not going to make it..." Some very sweet women step forward, put their hand under my tray to help balance, one takes a drink and starts yelling "Where's your husband?"

I LOVED IT. Because Eddie sheepishly looks around the corner and says... "Do you need some help?"
Erin and Nolan went back to try to get the chips that were not put on the tray but to no avail... they basically told them to go to the back of the line and I just told them to forget it.
Here we are...seated... enjoying our food, I suppose.
The scenery was nice though... I will give it that much!
Next up... the safari to finish up our final AK day!
