The Josh D'Amaro slander needs to stop

I don't really see Chapek policy-wise as very different from Iger, but he definitely was not as skilled when it came to how he presented himself and the company - i.e. talking to staff, talking to the public, handling things diplomatically. Those fumbles are his own.
I agree, he didn’t have good presentation skills. That’s why I think he tried to work off of D’Amaro’s charm as far as parks. Backfired on him.

I hate to defend Chapek, because I don’t think he was good for the company, but the diplomatic fumbling was not entirely his fault. As he stated himself, Disney had no business choosing a side in a heated idealogical fight. It’s likely the board overruled him and forced him to reverse his statement.

In this whole ongoing search for Bob Iger's replacement as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, what really upsets me about it is that people on social media like to slander Josh D’Amaro, who is in charge of the parks division and is becoming the most likely pick, because they think he is like Bob Chapek, who was CEO from 2020 to 2022.

That is not true! D'Amaro is not like Chapek, because he is friendly to cast members, knows what park guests want, and has a good relationship with the other parts of Disney. Plus, D'Amaro has always been with the parks unit since he first came to Disney in 1998, starting out at Disneyland Park in California. Chapek started out at the home video unit, before moving to consumer products, and then to the parks, which made him terrible.
Ooh, we found Josh D'Amaro's disboards username!

And who do you think was on the board with all his friends he helped put on the board. I’ll let you have one guess? The Disney stock was at an all time high with Chapek.

The entire WDC board should be let go. The WDC stock is right around the same price it was 10 years ago , and they spent over $70 billion on Fox.
