Has anyone heard if there will be any special or rare characters and which ones they might be?? I was really hoping we might hear something before the first party. :)

I want to know too.
It seems like MNSSHP and MVMCP have some rare characters so why should this party be any different?
I truly hope they have some rare ones!
But, at the same time, why do I care? I don't even know if I'm going yet!

mcgrawfan posted this info on another thread, thanks!:

A NEW MAGIC KINGDOM PARTY BUILT ON DREAMS

Disney's Pirate and Princess Party immerses you in the magic

Making magic comes naturally to Disney Show Director, Tara Anderson. From her early years performing as a "Kid of the Kingdom" to her choreography for beloved Disney parades and shows, Tara has had millions of dreams come true. But she's never helped create anything quite as adventurous and enchanting as Disney's Pirate and Princess Party, on select nights January 22–March 8, 2007.

"This is something completely different and new," Tara told us in an exclusive interview. "It's a chance to become the princess or pirate of your dreams, in special areas throughout Magic Kingdom Park, plus a brand-new parade, special fireworks and the attractions we all love."

There's gold in them thar treasure bags!
Everyone will be given treasure bags to assist in the search for treasure at pirate coves and princess courts scattered throughout the Park—finding treats like chocolate coins and candy, sparkling beads and other delights.

You, your family and friends are encouraged to get all dressed up in buccaneer gear or regal regalia for this nighttime event at Magic Kingdom® Park, where all seven "lands" are transformed into exciting, immersive environments.

Immerse yourself in enchanting environments
During your quest for pirate gold and princess glitter, you'll encounter special interactive fun throughout the Park. "Adventureland® was ready-made for this," Tara explained. "We'll have Jasmine's Court, with Aladdin, Abu and Genie. And of course, over by Pirates of the Caribbean, Captain Jack Sparrow will be doing his pirate tutorials.

"Goofy's getting all dressed up in his Diamond Jim outfit, and you'll see him in Liberty Square," Tara continues. "We also heard that somehow, the ghost of Jolly Roger might be haunting the riverboat itself."

Dancing, meeting and greeting
"Grown-ups, kids and teens will have a ball when Sebastian will be hosting his own dance party in Fantasyland®, where you can also meet Ariel and Flounder. We're creating a princess pavilion in Mickey's Toontown® Fair so you can meet Cinderella, Aurora and Belle. Minnie and Daisy will be princesses inside, and their boyfriends, Mickey and Donald, will be making appearances as pirates outside.

"We'll beam space pirates into Tomorrowland®," Tara laughs. "There'll be lots of dancing all night. Can you imagine seeing pirates break-dance?"

She loves a parade
Tara's pride and joy is the new Disney's Enchanted Adventures Parade, which she helped create especially for the party, with all the Disney pals, pirates, and princesses anyone could dream of. You'll even see pirates swinging and climbing around a brand-new pirate ship float.

Tara is looking forward to seeing all ages enjoy the fun of Disney's Pirate and Princess Party. "There's truly going to be something for everybody. We really want to completely immerse all our Guests in these Disney "worlds."

We will be going to WDW April 6. I would love to be able to take my daughter to this party. Do you think there is any chance that WDW will extend the dates for this event.

:wave2:

Wow!!! What a great description. Now I am even more excited than I was!! Thanks Liz :goodvibes

I finally got all our costumes done. DH will be Prince Charming (yes, I am torturing him :rotfl: ). DD will be Belle - I got the Deluxe Belle outfit in Royal Red and Gold from Disney Shopping Outlet - Gorgeous and sooo worth the $35 bucks (originally $90) if you are thinking of dressing any little girls as a princess. They even have a beautiful red cape for $15 bucks to go with it..which may come in handy if it gets cold at night. I am going to be Cinderella..I got a real pretty costume off of Ebay for a great price. That rounds off our royal court. Then we have our pirate Clan. DGP's And DS are dressing as pirates pirate:

Now If I can only wait until the 2/5 party!!!

I read that write up this morning and it sounds awesome, I was really hoping that Captain Jack would take a break from his pirate tutorials and be out for meet and greets, maybe they will surprise us. :teeth: Can't wait for this party, I hope they add some other rare ones to this line up!!!!!!! :)

I booked dinner on the 22nd at Tony's and the cm told me that admission is allowed at 430pm that day with the pirates tickets.
Can't wait!!

Ordered my tickets last night for Jan 22nd!!

Never been to one of the parties and we are excited!!!!! Youngest DD has her pirate costume all ready to go!!!

I'll be there on the 12th for my birthday, too! I've always wanted to be at WDW for my birthday. So finally, after waiting my whole life, my wish is coming true! :cheer2:

:) Teresa

Ten of us are going on Feb. 1 which I have already posted on this thread but 6 are children ( 3 girls and 1 boy) and I was wondering how cold it will be. If it is in the 40's everyone will have on coats and gloves right? How can we do their costumes so they won't be covered up? I guess they will know it's under all those layers.

When we've gotten chilly days on past trips we put 'regular' clothes under DD's princess dresses. I don't see why that wouldn't work for pirates too! Depending on which princess dresses she packs, I try to choose matching or neutral long sleeved shirts to take along that she can wear underneath. She also wears pants or leggings underneath.

If it were cold enough to need a heavy coat that wouldn't work, but we've been the past three years late January/early February and it hasn't been that cold yet. I know it can be, so we pack coats (well, we need them for the trip into and out of the airport here at home anyway), but we haven't needed them.

I finally remembered to get PS for the Castle the night of the party!!! Now I have to figure out which Princess my princess is going to dress up as!!!!!!!!!!! DS will be a PIRATE, ARGH!!! Our 3rd baby is due next month, not sure if we will bring our newest princess or pirate with us. My parents are going to come and watch the baby that night in the hotel most likely!

That's what we have to do for Halloween up here . It only becomes really trickey when you have to fit the entire snowsuit underneath :teeth:

The 6 of us just booked a trip for our DD 1st birthday. We'll be at the party on 3/8. I can't wait!

I added you to the March 8th list BernardandMissBianca! :)

The wife and I will be there for 2/12, and if she's good I might spring for tix on the 15th (our trip is 2/9-2/15, and we might stay an extra night before driving back to TX)
