wow....mat that is soooooo interesting...

It was weird I saw it on the evening news and decided to see if I could find an internet story to share. I searched "plane slides off runway" and the first hit was about the same story.

one of the hazzards of snow and ice. We have had that happen here at our Air Force Base. F-22's try to land and slide off the runway. We have had two plane crashes on Elmendorf AFB this past year. One was just a few weeks ago. They couldn't find the pilots body due to weather conditions. very sad. guess i just started rambling there and got off the real subject at hand, sorry.

It's strange to hear how risky AF pilots jobs are. It's really strange that a F-22 can't break quick enough to stop in time. They are really maneuverable, I think they should be able to break really easy.

It does not happen very often, but it has happened. I know they work like heck to keep thoses runways clean. But they do drills at all times of the day and night. I find the military aircraft very interesting. We have a fleet of raptor's up here also. Awesome Jets. We have a airshow at the Air Force Base every other year. I really like it, we always have The Blue Angels or The Thunderbirds. Boy, those are neat shows.

Yeah those posts on that thread......Idk the society we live in just doesnt understand. My uncle has downsyndrome and is 45 years old. He is my best friend and in public people just stare and ask whats wrong with him. Nothing is wrong with him he is just his own person. MY seven year old sister has been over weight since she was 4 months old, my mom always got compliments like My God what do you feed your child. She fed her formula like any mother, and started on solids when she was old enough. She still doesnt eat alot and eats regular childrens meals at food places. People still tell her shes fat and over weight. It kills me.

NYE I think I am going to old town Sacramento to watch the fireworks over the river! They are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Part two sounds like a fantastic idea!!!!! I look forward to reading all these posts everyday!

Sara, are you sure you have Asberger's? Sounds more like ADD. The only reason I ask is my son has Asberger's and one of the main things with Asberger's is difficulty in social situations. You show no signs of this. I'm probably being nosey. But you must not be to touchy about it, your talking about it here. I've done alot of reading about Asberger's.
