The Irish are going to Disneyland.

Congratulations on raising so much money! That's great! :thumbsup2

That must feel so wonderful that you have your 1st student! Congratulations! :cheer2:

I'm not familiar with that book series. What is it about? I remember you mentioning it earlier in your thread.

Which outlet are you doing to? Citadel? How are you getting there? If you have American express, show your card at the mall management office and you get an outlet card for extra discounts on most of the stores. Many require a minimum purchase amount. Did you already know they have a Disney Outlet store (you CANNOT use that discount card there though!)?

Doing the character breakfasts at Storytellers Café and at PPH were soooo memorable for us! I'm sure it will be for you as well! :flower3:

Congratulations on your first student. :thumbsup2
Thanks. I just need a few more now lol :goodvibes

I have yet to read any of the Kingdom Keeper books; I may have to pick one up for our September trip.
I like them but then I like the books that are more geared towards teens than adults anyway. The one I got for the trip is set in Disneyland as well so it might help with studying on the plane :goodvibes

So nice that mom gave you your ticket.
Yeah that was cool

Maps can be a great help when planning.
I was so excited when I saw them. I had bought a Duffy vinyl from a lady on fb and she sent the maps as well I didn't know she was doing that. I was almost happier with the maps than Duffy lol :rotfl:

It's great. They've done this every year since he passed away and raise thousands every year in his memory.

It is awesome. I want more though :rotfl:

Kingdom Keepers is about 5 kids who have been selected for a special eh programme in the disney parks but there's a slight twist because someone in Disney also wants them to defeat the forces of evil! The books are basically their adventure and so far have been mostly set in WDW and the cruise ships. They're really good if you're a Disney fan and into the more teenage type books.

We're goign to Citadel but don't have American Express. I did hear though that when you book the bus from Anaheim they give you a booklet with discount vouchers in it so maybe we'll get something good in that :)

I love the character breakfasts. Momma thinks they're a waste of money. But I want to meet Koda and Kenai and my Stitch

Happy September.
Randomness:

I may have talked about piano a tiny bit through the thread and my cousin asked me if i'd record something so she could hear me playing piano I don't normally let anyone hear me besides my teacher and the examiners but I put up little clips of different songs i play... one has disney stuff clickie

Tonight I made Disney toes (I hate feet but had to share the toes) :goodvibes

Momma was out when I did it. She came home and I ran downstairs to show her the Disney toes and she was like eugh you're never going to grow up so I was like why would anyone want to do that? Growing up is boring! :confused3:rotfl:

Love the toe polish (and who wants to grow up, really?); and great job on the piano playing. I loved it.

Congrats on the student....

Love the toes....

and what pretty music you play! thank you so much for sharing!!!

Thanks. Having an anxious week and looking to anything for distraction hence the toes :rotfl2:

Thanks. I need more. Have loads asking but nobody committing yet :( Fingers and toes crossed they do soon though.

Thanks :)

Thanks again. I love my piano. Really don't know what I'm going to do away from it for ten days. The longest I haven't played since I went back to piano was two days. I think i'm going to get seperation anxiety from not being able to practice :rotfl2::rotfl:

I go offline for two days and suddenly the announce the Christmas season dates for Disneyland!

I've been looking at touring plans as well and I'm think of moving some of our park days around based on the expected crowd calendars. The first week we're there the crowds seem to be expected to be really low like 1-3 while the second week are all like 9 so I'm thinking we might get more done the other way.

So I'm now thinking
Day 1: fly
Day 2: DL
Day 3: LA tour
Day 4: DCA
Day 5: DTD
Day 6: DL
Day 7: Outlets
Day 8: I need to check what day we can use the magic morning if it's only on a Monday then we need to do DL again this day if not will do the Warner Bros combo tour most likely.
Day 9: DL if we do Warner studios the Monday
Day 10: DCA... touring plans are expecting the park to be open until 11pm this day so I'm wondering will we have a better chance of a good view with World of Colour if we do the last show that night although i kinda think it would be nice to finish in DL on the last day.
Day 11: Home

Any thoughts?

I can't help since I've never been to DL, but I think your new plans with the new schedule sounds pretty good.

I have only just found this. Goodness, what an emotional rollercoaster. Believe me, growing up is totally overrated. I will turn 40 during our trip and I have absolutely no plan to grow up. Here are my finger nails at the moment:

The character breakfast at Storytellers Cafe and Surf's Up are fantastic. At Storytellers Cafe you have the choice between a la carte and buffet. We have done both and prefer a la carte. Surf's Up is a buffet, but the food is delicious and does have some more unusual choices like a Mexican breakfast dish and breakfast flatbreads.

I am planning to do the A Walk In Walt's Footsteps tour at Disneyland. I can't wait to see the apartment.

Kingdom Keepers 7 is a fantastic book. It is quite dark, but I think it is the best of the bunch. At some stage I have to read all 7 books back to back.

Life's an emotional rollercoaster sometimes. This week is one of those that going in to it I would happily skip over it!

Luvin the nails and you're right growing up is totally over-rated.

I want to do Storytellers for Koda and Kenai and Surf's up for Stitch. I think I can book Storytellers on Thursday for the date i want if i'm correct in counting the whole 60 days thing.

I don't know if we're still doing that. So far we've book zero tours and we/I was also looking at the Holiday tour which I'm thinking might save us time waiting on the parade if we do it on the Saturday :confused3

I love them all. They've all been getting darker as they go along. Have plenty of time to read it on the planes anyway. :goodvibes

I was able to make my reservation for Surf's up on Friday and Stitch was my main motivation for that. I love the little rascal. Sometimes Meeko also comes to Storytellers and he is a lot of fun, too.

I am hoping to do both. I am planning to do the A Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour on our very first day at Disneyland and the then the Holiday tour when we get back from Aulani. I get some discount as a DVC member. Unfortunately the tours cannot be booked until 30 days out and with a bit of luck I will be in Budapest then so calling will be a challenge.

Stitch is always a fun character to meet. Have loved all the times we met him in WDW so need to see him at DL as well

I don't think Momma will do both and money is an issue at the mo anyway. The Holiday tour though looks like it will save us time waiting on parade and stuff if the park is going to be busy the second week we're there. That alone could make it worth it :) Plus then there's the cool mug and pin you get :goodvibes

I can't help since I've never been to DL, but I think your new plans with the new schedule sounds pretty good.
Thanks. It spreads out Disney days a bit more I think which will hopefully keep Momma amused as well because she said she was bored in WDW the last time... I really think i'm adopted. The only one that shares my insane love of Disney in this family is my 3 year old nephew like lol!

My trip mascot will be sad! In WDW I brought the trip Mascot to meet Mickey's bear Duffy. I love DUffy but just found out they're taking Duffy out of the park and replacing him with Oswald. Yay for Oswald but I want Duffy as well!

I am sad for the loss of Duffy. But, maybe Oswald will be cool. The bottom line is that Duffy isn't popular. I have never seen a line for him. Bottom line is that he is not bringing people in and they believe that Oswald will.

I would normally not do both either, but I figure I will only turn 40 once and it is just me going to the parks. The DVC discount also helps.

I had not realised that Duffy is being evicted. I am looking forward to meeting Oswald, but I do like Duffy. I wonder what the logic is behind this as Oswald is on Buena Vista Street and Duffy at Paradise Pier. Having said that, when I visited Disneyland during the Halloween season in 2011, Duffy was at his usual spot, but also on Main Street near the Opera House. So there is hope yet.

Poor Duffy. How can people not love him he's so cute and gives bear hugs. I can't get bear hugs off a rabbit :(

Good excuse. I'm 30 next year and trying to talk Momma into coming to Disney with me some time for my 30th :goodvibes

Nope he's gone gone. They hinted he could be back for spring but he is asleep for the winter now apparently :( I thought it would have been fun if you manage to get Shellie Mae to bring her for a photo with Duffy. It will be fun to meet Oswald but I really want Duffy as well.
