The Ip-Dip Fry Daddy Dude Fest '08 - PTR by the camping dude

One thing I forgot to mention is that a few years ago Buzz went to see my dentist. Now, I have to say, I think I have the best dentist in the entire world. I've been going to him for over 20 years. He's so gentle, I fall asleep when he works on my mouth. Even Buzz said he's the best dentist he's ever been to. :goodvibes

So Buzz goes to see him-not having been to the dentist for several years. He went to get his teeth cleaned. The dental assistant worked forever on his teeth removing the plaque, and then finally called it quits and did his x-rays. The plaque on his teeth was so thick it showed up on the x-rays which the dentist said was "not gud" and "highly unusual." He had to go back 2 more times to get the rest of the plaque off his teeth. :scared:

He tried to tell them his teeth felt nice and smooth to him and they said that's NOT what you want. You don't want to feel one tooth all smooth-you want to feel all your individual teeth. From there on out, when he told me that, I now refer to his teeth as his "tooth."

Sample conversation:

Me: "Oh you're brushing your tooth?"

Buzz: "Shut up."

Another:

Me: So you're going to the dentist to get your tooth cleaned?"

Buzz: "Shut up."

And yet another:

Me: "So you're flossing your tooth? Good for you!!"

Buzz: "Shut up."

And another:

Me: "How's your tooth doing?"

Buzz: "Shut up."

Apparently Buzz is a little sensitive about his "tooth." The best though was when I heard our eye doctor tell him his eyes were cross eyed and he said, "Don't tell my wife that!!" I was sitting right outside the examining room and immediately started laughing!! Nothing against people whose eyes cross, it was that he was going to hide it from me!! I happened to be in the right place at the right time!!! :dance3:

What is it with men and the dentist??? My DH dreads it and didn't go for two years, and then complained that they took forever to get the plaque off his teeth! I mean... HELLO??? Did he really think it would be easy after more than two years???

Men....

OK seriously, Linnie. I just laughed so loud that my dh thought I was laughing at the nun/Jake/Ellwood scene at the beginning of The Blues Brothers (which I was, but I was roaring laughing at your post) :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

YOu guys crack me up. I have to be careful about drinking anything in October while we're at dinner.

My eyes are NOT crossed.

They just have a tendancy to cross a "little" when I'm focusing on something that is far away... like my toe nails.

:sad2: I'll be cross-eyed moron by October.

OK, Buzz is gettig confused...I am reposting our plans.

Buzz and Linnie
Ed and Steve
Jodi and Eric
and
Angela

Are meeting at park open on Sunday October 19 to ride Soarin' along with all kids on the trip....

That NIGHT at 5, BUZZ is buying everyone dinner at Biergarten. Kids may or may not be there...

The adults will then head to DTD to partay.

I made a lot of $$ on my fabric sale, and will cover the first 2 rounds of drinks at DTD.

Oh, and if Jodi finishes her TR before Buz, he is buying her and me MANY Margaritas...

Course, at the rate they're going NEITHER will be done by the time we go in October. :sad2:

Pefect plan. We should all meet at the rope drop and run to Test Track (for MB) then ride Soarin or get FP's right afterwards. We could all do Nemo also if we wanted to.

From there we can split up or stay together but meet for lunch at 11:30 (before crowds get too thick).

Did you want to have lunch or dinner without MB? Whatever works for you and him..Dont want to overwhelm him,,but you also have afternoon swimming...its all up to you because of MB schedule..

My DH could grab everyone's tickets and run to Soarin to get FP for everyone, since he won't want to ride Test Track. He rode it in December and said once is enough. He's not one for the thrill rides, but he does love Soarin. I only hope that DD4 is big enough to ride in October. Considering she was 39 inches in February, I think she will grow at least an inch before October. If not, we'll put some shoes on her with thick soles! :thumbsup2

We're up for lunch as well. It will be our first day in the parks (since we're arriving on Sat. night), so we'll probably leave after lunch to get checked into OKW before coming back for the dinner meet.

First of all, that "Ed and Steve" looks really funny! :rotfl: Not sure that I'd want to explain that one to my kids! :rotfl: Also, David might be coming along as well (DARuss). Hopefully he'll get things worked out and his family will join us!

And with regard to that last comment, I've been busy! We finally had a nice weekend here (in the mid-60s) so I've spent the entire weekend outside working in the garden. I've got mulch coming tomorrow so I'll be busy spreading it all day, but I will definitely get a chapter out my mid-week. And remember, my trip was much shorter than Buzz's, so I'll definitely finish first! :woohoo: And we must share the margaritas with Ed too!

And, what's with all the Nemos?????

Ed, you've gone Nemo on us too??

No idea on the Nemos.

I hope David can come, but I wasn't counting him....yet.

Dude, I cannot type David...Every time, I type Davis....Wonder why....:lmao:

For lunch, I vote FRANCE!!! if I am buying, I want french food.

If you want to stay in the front of the park, somewhere else is fine, even counter service. I have never had counter service in the parks otehr than AK.

Rope drop plan sounds good! :thumbsup2

I`m gonna get rid of the Nemos,,I only did them because heidi did them also.:lmao: its too much..:scared:

I hope David comes with us, Davis has to stay back with the kids..;)

I had to look twice at the Ed and Steve thing..i thought whos them?

IP-DIP! :lmao:

You can make your ADRs for October while your actually there in 2 weeks! Are you going to go over to Ft Wilderness just to look around so you know what to expect?
