I am taking baby steps as my good friend Jody recommended!

First of all, I am going to do WW. I am paying for it--- right? So why not actually DO it?!!!! Each week I will add on, I don't have to worry about being perfect, just add a baby step each week.

Month 1... Read a self improvement type of book

Week 1... Journal EVERYTHING! I don't care if I am over 100pts (well I do, but you get what I mean) I want to journal it all.

Week 2... Exercise 4 days a week

week 3... eat 5 fruits/veggies a day

week 4... Get in 2-3 milk servings a day

Month 2... Read a self improvement type of book

week 5... drink 6 glasses of water a day

week 6... Take a vitamin daily

week 7... floss daily

week 8... eat a whole grain food 4 days a week

I will reevaluate the next set of weeks at the end of 8 weeks. For now this is my plan. Each week as I complete my goals, I get to go shopping on Tuesday for some "decoration" for me, some new clothes, jewelry, make up etc.


I am working on the inside of me (the self improvement book)
I am working on the health of me (WW plan, flossing, exercise)
and I am working on the outside of me (clothes, jewelry, hair)

It is time to not only work on the inside and the body, but also work on the outside as well. No need to be frumpy any more! Wooohooo! Thanks Jody! I have a plan. And I picked up a book today that I am excited about reading... "Please stop laughing at me". I read the first page and can't wait to get deeper into it. I think I had a lightbulb go off as to why I did what I did to myself. I'll let you know. Thanks a bunch Jody!

Welcome to the journals. I really like the way that you've broken your gaols down by the week. Having rewards already set up will aso help keep you on track too. You will find the journals a great place to find support, so you can reach all those goals. Keep up the great work.

Well, book for the month is done! WOW! I read it all in 4 hours last night, it was so good. It was just what I needed to read.
 
WOW! You just inspired me! You have some really great goals. I like the shopping reward, and the book. What book did you read? I have found that reading ANY book is good for me. It gives me something to do to spend some time with myself while being content being who I am. Does that make sense? I work out and things like that because I am discontented, but when I read, it's just me, being me. So, I am working on always having a book going.

You sound like you are definitely bound for success. Keep up the good work!

Hi Ashley,
Thanks for the really upbeat and supportive words!!! The book I read is called Please stop Laughing at me, by Jodee Blanco. It is about bullying, she was terribly bullied in school and how it affected her and eventually made it. TRULY inspiring!
 
You sound like you're excited about your plan - YAY!! Your goals each week are a great idea! When you talk about Jody, are you talking about the DISBoards' Wovenwonder?? I know she has been an inspiration to me and she is such a sweetie!! ::yes::

I also love your idea of giving up "frumpy" and working on your outside. Sometimes we women are so busy doing things for everyone else that we forget we deserve to be nice to ourselves too! Enjoy your rewards!!

I haven't been doing as well as I would have liked, but that's ok, I am still working toward my goal!!

ANYWAY, I have the SPARK back in my life! We got our new minivan, and because of that, I told DH that we are going to take a ROAD TRIP to DISNEYLAND!!!! OMG I am sooo excited and I can't believe it! I honestly never thought I would ever go there, but now I am goind, AND during the 50th anniversary year. YIPEEE! I got very motivated, and I felt that "spark" I haven't been feeling in a while. funny what a trip to DISNEY will do for you!

I also decided to try and journal online here. It will help me be more accountable!
