The Ingredients for Pixie Dust, a June 2010 TR - 10/2 DIsney Halloween PTR started!

Just going to say good for you going to guest services and letting them know about your unused fast passes!
AND I'm glad they made it up to you!

We have decided that we kind of like Yak and Yeti too!:goodvibes

Hey! Well you know I wouldn't had thought to, but it was a bummer that we were waiting around to try and ride it after being there all day, and we were coming back and so I figured I'd ask! We must have looked pitiful enough  He definitely said that the ride was closed, so he knew, and was willing to give us a FP. That happened at TStory, too... a few nights later, but they were there handing them out, so they must have expected that. With Kali, not so much. BUT on a hot day, they should!!!

Yak and Yeti was a great pit stop for us that day. I don't normally have a sit down lunch, we really didn't. Just apps and a drink. So it was sit down snacking! ;)

I love your pics of AK! What a fun day! I would of done that too with the extra FPS.

Yes, we were fortunate that they gave them. It was a great morning, and we went back after check out the next day.

Glad you enjoyed Y&Y. It is annoying that they don't take the TIW card though.

You did a lot of walking around AK.

I'm so glad that they gave you FPs. That is good to know that if something like that happens that they will make it up to you. :thumbsup2

So if you HAD to choose... and hopefully you never do.... would it be a Yak Attack or a Lost on Safari?? ;)

I think those seats on top of Dawa Bar would be great for people watching! Get a drink and climb on up!! :)

Looks like a fun day. I've only been on Kali once and was completely soaked. But I bet if felt good in the heat. And it's only water, right??

Getting wet the first thing on a hot morning sounds good to me! I loved Kali when I rode it for the first time in 2008 and even though I was solo during the first 4 days of my trip, I had fun experiencing new things. I didn't get wet hardly at all - everybody else did :rotfl2:

Your boys are so cute! I love seeing little ones having their own kind of fun (like in the Boneyard). I hope the Safari opens up and you all get to ride it before it gets crowded again!

We did walk A LOT. But somehow that park feels very walkable. Which is nice, even in the heat. And YES, Y & Y all thanks to your January report! I really had to try it after that!

I was very appreciative of the Disney Magic that day!

Ha! I don't know .... :scratchin: Maybe Lost on Safari -- it felt more refreshing... I like frozen drinks, but that one was a little tooo sweet for me... but I wasn't going to pass it up! ;)

AND yes, we got mega soaked!!! Well DH and DS did, mostly, and they love it, so!!!

I love those chairs! :thumbsup2

Thank you! They are keepers. We had a fab time on that ride, it is our family favorite. The guys even went on it in February, the NUTS!! Wrapped in ponchos of course. They still got somewhat wet, and it made me laugh that they even wanted to go... But they were smiling so I wasn't going to fret.

They really like that ride, and it made a more pleasant morning -- we were anxious to do it again, but we had to wait until the next day!

That is so funny! You know, I just love it. I don't mind being wet, I wear my Patagonia shorts that I hike in on that day usually. They dry UBER fast!

You know it was good. A little sweet, but that is to be expected -- it was a frozen drink, mango I thnk, but I prefered the Lost on Safari. Now someone here likes the Avalanche, I think CP or WigD, but I didn't try that. I like frozen drinks, but I prefered the Tangerine Dream at the pool, so I am glad I tried it but I wont get it again. It was perfect for the heat, though, so I would still get one if you want to!!

Well, I didn't think to either, if we run out of steam that is our choice, but the ride was closed easily for a few hours, and we had been there since 9. SO.....

I don't know about the animals. We actually saw several the next day when we went back, but we did the safari first thing. I think that is the key...
I'm planning to wear my Athleta ones, for the very same reason and then it's not an issue, and actually feels great!.

Is lost on safari blended? I prefer non-frozen....

Another great update!
AK is such a beautiful park. I love all of the details.
A Lost on Safari would be great right now in this heat. So with a ride on Kali.

Hey! No. It is on the rocks. So it is refreshing and not sweet. I really really like them. Like LIKE them... :) Rum I think... EXCELLENT with a Jalepeno pretzel and/or an egg roll (since I know you are partial to those!!!!)

I just ordered a dress from Athleta -- free shipping! I have the same dress in lavender, so got it in black.

I was in the middle of reading your latest news on your FL trip at work and I got interrupted... the NERVE  OBVIOUSLY it is not blocked at my work place!!!!!! :rotfl: So now I gotta go back and read again!!! :surfweb:

ooh which dress? Is it a promo code for the free shipping? I ordered one and didn't love it, sent it back and haven't tried another one as I get scared by the reviews! I love my skort from there though and the breeze shorts. Actually considering another pair of the breezes, I thought they were too short but they are growing on me and I have a feeling I'll be living in them on the trip. They were really wierd as bermudas though, bleh!

I could use another dress for the trip

Ok, Lost in Safari is IT, I vastly prefer rocks. And yes...with an Egg Roll. I want it now!!!!!!!

Three weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually 3 weeks from tomorrow at this time I will be in AK, hopefully drinking one of those! :thumbsup2

The dress is the Senorita dress, I think it is called, cotton/little lycra for some fit. I bought the "long" b/c a review said if you want it closer to at knee length to go that route. it is an inch below my knees I think.. if that... Hugely comfortable I wore it in Disney, got it on sale before the cruise in February, it was perfect, and now I want a darker color to wear on the plane to Scotland. Can wear with leggings or solo, which is why I got the "long" so probably for you it would be the same if you didn't want it above the knee.

I had a $10.00 coupon to use with my BR card, and the ship code was "SUMMER" I think that is what it is... check it out if it doesn't work I will look at the email.... I don't think it was tied to my BR card....

YES, I bet you will like that one. I like frozen blended drinks pool side, and that Tangerine Dream was great b/c it wasn't sticky sweet..

I am late to the party, but loving your report!!! Your boys are too cute!

Hi!!! So glad you came over! Thanks for joining us!! I am just getting started, have six more days to go yet!

Thank you! They are my little darlings :goodvibes

Another great update!

Thanks!! More coming tonight....

YES I agree. I really would love to spend time just meandering around there...

I hear you on the heat... 90 and above for the past two weeks since we have been home! GASP!!!

Egg roll, lost on safari and a dress from Athleta. I'm sold. You are my kind of gals! :thumbsup2

I will try the summer code for shipping! :thumbsup2

More updates tonight?! :yay:

Oh do! I will go check on it again, myself... I ordered it Sunday, cant think it was expired or I am missing anything!

It is a really cute/flattering dress. I am not a dress person, normally, but I liked it a lot! I wouldn't have paid full price normally, either, (the other one was on sale) but I got $10.00 off and free ship, and it was a dress I LIKED, so that was worth it.

THE CODE IS "SUMMER" for free shipping at checkout, from 7/12 - 7/24. I got it on email....

A good combination, eh, Christine??!!

Very good! Ordered and on it's way already. :) I didn't realize Athleta was associated with Gap. No wonder I like it so much. Thanks for the code. If only there was a secret password for free cocktails at the Dawa. :upsidedow Someday we'll have to plan a big DIS meet there!

Yes, it is. I didn't know either, I think that happened in the past year, their "tab" is connected to Gap, Banana Republic, and Piper Lime.

Hey, I would be very happy to find that code!!!! Maybe it is in a fortune cookie at Yak and Yeti!!!

I hope we all get that chance, and that someday is soon!!!!! :thumbsup2

I THINK DH and I are going to link a few days to our December Training, but at the beginning not the end, so right after Thanksgiving... I will tell more when I know for sure!!! ;)

After we returned on the Animal Kingdom tram… (WAIT for the stop WAIT for the stop WAIT for the stop) we headed back to BLT. We had a 7:20 ADR at the California Grill, and it was going to be SOOOOOOOOOO nice to just hop on the elevator and go “up” to dinner!!!

We returned somewhere around 3pm, it was a little of a blur, and then we all went to the pool until close to 5:30 ish… I think DH went in a little earlier, first, to shower, etc., and then we showed up in the room… Just a random pool photo I remember taking this afternoon…

kidsandstuff049.jpg

So once back, the boys were in the tub, quick in and out and dressed, while I hopped in. DH opened the bottle of pink sparkling wine we had brought from home. We spent the next hour relaxing, finished getting ready, and enjoyed our bottle of pink bubbles on the patio… the boys had found their little “kites” that I had put in their Beach Bag… these were $1.00 at Michael's. I loved them! They were perfect for playing outside with… :thumbsup2 Here is DS5 having fun with one… And DH helping him untangle the tail… These are some of my favorite photos from this trip… just the colors, and the light, I guess… Don't worry we changed shoes before we went to dinner!!!! leather fisherman sandals much better than orange crocs!

And then SOMEONE else had to get into the act.. I am sure this was the influence of the Sparkling wine!!!! :rolleyes1

We finished the bottle, yes, in a little over an hour, and headed to the desk for the California Grill, to check in. We waiting in the seating area of the conference center that is just off of the restaurant check-in desk. Here are the boys doing a little house decorating... and chaos ensues...

Now where would we be at dinner, if we hadn't brought a few good toys... this character kept us busy at dinner a few times.. wait until you see him at Le Cellier round two!!!!

Here is DS8 giving his best shot at a “Stretch face”!!! Oh, and for the record, he really DOES have bangs that are cut straight... LOL!! Some times, depending on which way they are going (mostly disheveled) they look cut at an angle!!!! LOL! He is Shaggy through and through!

Here is DS8 again, getting ready to enjoy dinner with Dad…

summer2010251.jpg

So this restaurant was one of our other "split DDP meals" We paid OOP for the kids and one adult main. We had a flatbread to split, both opted for Sushi, had a round of drinks, cappuccinos and enjoyed ours shared dessert. :cloud9:

As dinner was winding down, we enjoyed this sight out the window….

summer2010252.jpg

Great view from there! A WONDERFUL view.... It is also a great reminder of what the rest of the evening entailed! :goodvibes Namely, a jaunt over to the Magic Kingdom! Cotton Candy??!! :yay: We were excited!! :cloud9:

What a great evening!
I def have to try Cali Grill.
Ground floor rooms made going out to play so easy.

Oh dear, now I see the yoga capri is on sale....I need to stay away from that site. I might have to get that dress, it is darn cute!

YES, I bet you will like that one. I like frozen blended drinks pool side, and that Tangerine Dream was great b/c it wasn't sticky sweet..

I've heard good things about the Tangerine Dream...I can't wait to just check out the poolside drink menu at this point!

well I decided against that dress, sadly for 2 reasons. One the color I liked was gone (the pretty blue/teal) and 2 I have a very strong feeling it wouldn't work as well on me given the way it was cut on top after reading the reviews. Could be wrong on that but I didn't love the other colors.

I did use that free shipping code though and got a different dress I've been eying for a while (in sangria lol) and another pair of shorts so thanks for saving me $7! I realized I needed to move as they are not the fastest site for shipping and if I wanted another pair of shorts I'd better get a move on!:rotfl:

Decided to be good and hold off on the rest but I did eye a lot of things!
