The Infant is running this PTR - Completed

Just remember to pack your sunscreen in your luggage and not the carry on. My mom messed that up once and was not happy to have her sunscreen confiscated.

If you want to take sunscreen with you on the plane, you can buy this stick of it at Target (Thats were I found it at least, I think its Neutrogena?). It kinda looks like a stick of deodorant, but I found it works okay for the first day, but I don't think I'd want to put it on everyday.

Newark is also our airport of choice, also mainly for the convenience.

Good call, last thing you want is sunscreen on your first day! Especially on a 10 month old!

I did get this kind! I am hoping it works on DD I've never used it before, happy to know you had a good experience.

skier_pete has a great point about the liquid ibuprofen. My daughter spiked a fever when I was out of town and I had to pick some up at the hotel. It was easy enough to figure out how much to give her, but dosing a ten-month-old with shoes those little cups was tricky.

Also, for your checked luggage, I'd get a small tub of vaporub. I swear, someone always gets congested on our trips and that stuff does wonders. I always put it on her back so I didn't have to worry about her hands getting in it (and it getting in her eyes).

The good the bad and the ugly?

The good I'm 4 days away! :banana::cool1:

The bad my in laws aren't 'getting' MDE and are thrown off by packing for the first day in their carryons. If they don't use the yellow tags and I need to wait at baggage claim even if I used the tags I'm going to be pretty annoyed and upset. So if they aren't going to do it hopefully they let me know a head of time.

The ugly the weather, like everyone who goes to Disney I watch (obsess over) the weather and worry about rain. Currently I still have a pretty good outlook but Tuesday looks rainy since this is a short trip with just three park days this worries me. I know there is plenty of time for all my days to change and normally a little rain doesn't bother me. I'm only worried about the rain with DD.

Have a great day!

Just so you know - you do not NEED to have the yellow tags on your bags. As long as you let ME know how MANY bags you've checked and your flight - they will still pull your bags. (I've been told this because they usually only give you 1 bag tag per person but we always have to call and request more, and they tell me this every time.)

Thanks! This is great to know!!! I finally got myself feeling great about ME and a new hurtle :)

I took a couple weeks off from the Dis but I knew you were leaving for your trip soon so I had to come back and cheer you on! party:YAY! 3 More days!!!

It sounds like your luggage situation worked itself out, and if you end up having to wait on the In-laws, just take the extra time to do a little shopping or something... I agree, waiting at the baggage carousel is the pits, especially with a little one!

Have a FANTASTIC time!! pixiedust::mickeyjum

So exciting you are almost there!! Yeah the whole baggage thing kinda freaks me out...I'm sure it will all work out though!! Totally understand not wanting to wait though!!

Just enforce the need for them. Or you could always make them find their own way to the MDE!:rotfl: (I kid... sort of)

Meh looks like it has improved a little since yesterday. We will just have to hope for Pixie Dust.

Thank you! So sweet of you to remember our trip! I started packing and am stressing a little bit about space but I'll work it out. Hope all is well with you, sometimes breaks are needed I am trying to limit my time to my commute but sometimes it's hard to keep up if I do that.

Freaks me out too but what's that worst thing that happens right? Thank you!

See I don't kid (usually). I told my husband I will leave them behind and now he has promised me they will use the yellow tags. Would I follow through with leaving them behind that's to be determined but I've done similar things in the past so they take me seriously.

Weather is a movie target so I am trying not to get hung up on it o_O. Pixie dust is always helpful!

Final update?

1 day! 24 hours from now I'll be packing my final items and taking my fur baby (or as I usually call him my first child) to the Vet. Then we will try to leave between 9:15-9:30 for the airport. We are meeting my inlaws there.

I spoke to my dad yesterday and he was thinking they would go MK on Saturday! This wasn't in my plans so depending on how DD is feeling and how I'm doing we may add a day to our tickets and hope over to MK for a few hours. But I'm leaning against this idea...if I use my ticket on Saturday will I lose a day of FP? Do I need to upgrade my tickets first to make sure we don't lose anything? So many things to consider with this curve ball.

So I was packing last night and I have a very serious problem what outfit should DD wear each day! If I even tried to discuss this with DH he would actually laugh at me. Now I know this is not an actual problem and I am joking (maybe?) but for real! I think @Gracefulskinny can feel me here since her DD outfits are all amazing!

I have these two outfits and can not decide which is better for Chef Mickey and MK which is our first day! image.jpg
Or

I think I am leaning toward the first one....but that's also a good last day outfit??? I just can't decide I also took a picture of the AK outfit image.jpg
I have a few other outfits obviously but they aren't as exciting IMO.

Actually her Sofia bathing suit is pretty dam cute but that was packed already.

1 day!

If I don't update again I hope to see you all on the trip report!

Ha, ha - cute outfits.

I would suggest adding the day BEFORE you use the extra day, but you could just do it before you enter the park. I don't know for sure if it would cancel your FP+ (probably it would not) but I guess if I were you I wouldn't chance it.

Have a great trip!

That's what I was thinking better to be safe right?? Add the day before I enter just incase.... If we go to MK that day :)

So. Stinkin. CUTE! My vote is for outfit A on your first day! (My First Disney Trip) But seriously, how could you go wrong with either one?!

Have a blast!! :jumping1:

I think I am leaning that way too....

Thank you! Less then 24 hours not sure I will even be able to sleep tonight!

I'd ask the concierge desk. They would be able to help sort it rather quickly I'd imagine.

Did I mention that my outfit planning took up a 2 page spreadsheet? :rotfl::rotfl2:

I'd go with the "My First Trip" onesie on the first day and save the other one for the last day. It just seems more appropriate to wear at the beginning of the trip. And thus why you have the disboards:disrocks:... so we can bounce these things off of each other and save our husbands sanity from our overthinking!:rotfl::rotfl2::lmao:

Have a great trip and safe travels!

Those outfits are all adorable!! I vote for the red one lol. So funny that when someone throws a wrench in the plans...they have no idea HOW MUCH thought has gone into all this (nor do they want to lol) but now you are thinking through everything and they have no idea I'm sure! I mean..I'm sure at this point the cost is pretty minimal to add the extra day on the front end...but just be careful not to overtire everyone on arrival day. I don't think it will mess anything up...but I'd do it earlier too and call if anything gets messed up...

Oh my gosh, I missed a few posts. The new disboards doesn't seem to send the update emails consistently. I'm thinking you're already there, right? I hope you're having a fabulous time!

I hope your luggage dilemma worked out okay. I'd be annoyed if I had to wait for the luggage, too. One year, we took our big stroller and the airline ended up checking it. So our tagged luggage got picked up by Disney, but we had to go to baggage claim for the stroller. At the end of the day, it clearly wasn't the worst thing, but it was irritating.
