We're going on our first cruise ever on 12/19. I found out that they are going to be playing "The Incredibles" in the ships movie theater. This is a movie that my family really wants to see. I'm wondering if we should go and see it now or wait to see it for free on the cruise. I'm assuming that this will be the "hot ticket" on the ship. How big is the theater? Is the theater always open? How many times do you think that they will play "The Incredibles"? Thanks!

The thinking is, they'll play it enough times where you won't have a problem seeing it. The theater is quite large, 268 seats, stadium-style.

I'd wait until the cruise.

If you're dying to see it, I'd go now. There is SO much to do on the ship that sometimes finding time for a movie is tough! We saw something (Sweet Home Alabama?) on our first cruise one night (the main theater movie we weren't interested in) and we saw the PremEAR of Brother Bear in the WD theater on our second cruise but found ourselves too busy to see much else.

DS did love going w/the kids club (5-7 age group) to see Nemo and Spy Kids

By next month the hoopala (sp) of the Incredibles may have died down....but as the other poster said...finding time to see a movie is tough because of all the other things to do.

I agree that if you are really dying to to see it...do it now.

Here's what I'm thinking. We're on the Thanksgiving Wonder. I've been on a 3 day and a 4 day Wonder before. It is hard to budget time for a movie (although we have and it's been great).

I figure: #1) my kids are excited to see this movie and they don't really want to wait 3 wks. #2) we may not have time ont he 3 day and #3) if we do have time, my kids will definately not mind seeing it again.

So, if we have some free time on a rainy or cold day, we'll go ahead and see the movie...and hopefully see it again on the ship.

We are going to wait until we cruise in 3 weeks to see it. If we dont catch it then. we will just take in a matinee one day during Christmas break .

We just took the kids to see the Incredibles last night and it was really good. We all enjoyed it. You could go see it before the cruise and on the cruise!:teeth: :teeth:

Thank you, everyone! We decided that we are going to go and see it tonight. After reading all of the reviews, it looks like it will be "incredible". Thanks, again!

The incredibles was a great movie. If you can wait then wait but I am glad I didn't....:hyper:

Enjoy the cruise when I went they premeared Ladder 49 but never got to watch it....

We saw the Incredibles also. It was really cute.....but my 5 year old was BORED! Their is alot of dialogue that might not make sense to a child 6 or younger IMO. I would wait to see it. You can go to the movies any old time.....not a cruise!!:hyper:

Just got off seven day eastern where it premiered 11/5/04 at 12:01 am in the main disney theater where the main shows are put on. It was a full house, no seats to be had.

They showed it all day Friday after that in the smaller movie theater but those were pretty full also.

I would see it now and treat a chance to see it again on the boat an extra bonus. During the slow times in the day they tend to show older kids movies. More adult movies at night but many times conflicted with times of other major events - Main shows, Dinner seatings, and other planned events.

I think it would be a mistake to plan a movie on your first cruise. You will be so amazed be the ship that you won't want to stop exploring, particularly for a movie (even the incredibles). I think your plan to see it now is the correct one. If you find that you have extra time and nothing to do then you could see the movie on the ship. Have a wonderful time!!!!!!
