The, "I'll pose for pics & sign autographs" B-day tour! WEEERE BAAACK!!!!

;) You have a sick mind.

What...?

Who are you talking to?

I simply was stating monetary facts that you and your screen-printing buddy could do it the same all night long...but Pam Anderson sells millions of t-shirts a year and she already has the corner on that market...and I love my friends enough, to not let them live on high hopes...

There is only so much the magic can do...I mean it can't make me look like Angelina Jolie...:confused3

Angela Landsbury maybe...:lmao:

Yeah...that's what I meant...so why did you say I had a sick mind...unless you went there 1st...I just followed...talking all about t-shirts and such...:rolleyes1

Thanks for the Welcome!:flower3: I'm all caught up now:thumbsup2 and I think I've laughed so hard, I cried multiple times and had to make a run for the Depends on a couple of those occasions!:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: I love your stories and your humor!:goodvibes I'm hitchin' a ride for this report! :drive:

Well...that is a nice picture I have of you...sitting on the pot with kleenex for both ends!

So very glad you were dedicated enough to read through...:lovestruc

BTW: What are peoples opinions about the benefit of going back and having chapters listed for this PTR? I am not sure hpw to do it since there are not really chapters...just long rambling sections and stories...

Opinions? Let me know...I may not take them...but you can try... /

Hi Dawn!

I found your PTR on Stagemom's (aka clothes in a baggie lady) TR... OMG.... Oh My GOD that had to SUCK! But wholley molley it was funny! "anus?.. nope.. got that back" - I might use that as my siggie!

I'm going to read it to my DH right now. :thumbsup2 Edit: I just read it to him. Reading it out loud was even FUNNIER and my eyes watered over and over again! Wow... that was an incredible piece of literature!

I have to return to Stagemom's .... but 165 pages is so daunting when you've been reading for 3 days and are on page 63! It's good though!

Looking forward to more from you both! Thanks for the laughs!

P.S. My girls are only 11 and 12 and I'm already dreadin' the day... though I guess with girls you start to change your tune during puberty? :confused3

Hi Dawn!
I've done the business-trip-to-Orlando-with-non-Disney-people more times than I would like - and can truly empathize!

We always rent cars while in Orlando - no other way to get around as well or cheaply. Mousesavers has great rate codes and a link to a free Emerald Club membership at National - saves a great deal of time and effort to be able to just walk out and pick out a car and LEAVE!

We've taken many, many non-Disney people (OK, sometimes I call them 'clients') to Pleasure Island and have never heard a single complaint. Unfortunately, PI is closing at the end of September :sad2: - if you haven't done the Adventurer's Club or Comedy Warehouse NOW is the time to see them! (We're really gonna miss both of these!)

If you can talk her into it, get tickets to La Nouba. Any words I could possibly use to describe it would not do it justice! We saw the show once by ourselves and have taken others to see it SEVEN times since. (You'd think I'd own a velvet chair or two by now...)

For dining without having to enter a park, I think I've already told you that we LOVE the California Grill at the Contemporary - amazing views for miles in every direction and a very adult menu and atmosphere (although you will find kids here), Narcoosees at the GF for seafood (the Grand Floridian itself ALONE is worth an evening - they have a live orchestra that plays to the lobby, some interesting shopping. Take a boat over to the Poly and enjoy a Lapu Lapu in the Tambu lounge or sip something cold and slushy on the beach whilst watching the fireworks from the MK.)

At DTD, the upstairs dining room of Wolfgang Puck's Upstairs Dining (be sure to specify the upstairs dining room when you make a reservation - it's a very different restaurant).

The Boardwalk area is a great spot for an entire evening. The Yachtsman's Steakhouse or Shula's are both great steak restaurants. JellyRolls is a hoot - a sing-along dueling piano bar - a group of us middle-aged fogies actually closed the place down two years ago. Funny because one of the singers made a comment about taking our requests early in the evening as he was sure we'd need to get home soon for our bedtime. The Big River Grille and Brewing Company, ESPN, Spoodles, the Flying Fish Cafe are all here, as are several restaurants inside the Swolphin. There are street entertainers and the Atlantic Dance club. If you spend the evening here, be sure to walk over to the Beach Club to Beaches and Cream for dessert!

For restaurants off site, we LOVE Primo at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes or Norman's at the Ritz. Roy's Hawaiian fusion Restaurant (Sand Lake, I think?) is also a favorite.

There's also the CityWalk area at Universal. Not that I've ever stepped foot there, :rolleyes1but I hear it can be a fun time.

Let us know what you end up doing - we'd love to hear a mini-TR!

Yup... I went the full 20-something pages in a row!

I can't imagine the day they will up and go....:sad2: One may not leave but the other would move to LA, get a tan, and live at the beach in a heartbeat if let her go today. :headache: She's a legendary party animal (see TR for video proof ;) )

I wish I had more suggestions to offer up but i have not (and may not for any known length of time) ever been to WDW :scared: It looks like Karenell and the others have your back though! Good job dis'ers!

Ask me somethin' bout DL and I should have you pretty well covered. :)

I'll follow along and offer up my 2 cents none the less! If I had a nickel for everytime I gave my 2 cents...well... that's only a 3 cent profit, really. :teacher:

Melissa

P.S. RE: T-shirts... that razzle site is AMAZINGLY fun! We did our own... fairly basic design that we got from one of the wonderful people on the disigns boards... We made them in less than 48 hours start to finish ... and they were fairly cheap. few bucks for the shirt, few bucks for the transfer paper. The work that it takes to make them is really... well the cutting out of the graphic and the figuring out how to personalize (if you chose to do that). Both of the latter things (due to the fact that that's where the work lies) were done by my DH. Go figure :) He says I am the arts and he is the crafts. LOL

Do you know what page the "Crush and Gusher" episode it on? I havent read it in a while either, and I can't seem to find it. Thanks! :lmao:

Hi to all the loyal fans...ahemm...and the ones who stumbled here...;)

Just got into Orlando for the Tupp convention...:cool1:

I am glad I came...ran into a few friends and also talked to a couple I used to do a lot with...then they moved for the biz...and guess what...

They just spent 4 days at Disney...spent $250 on water...did not get to the parks till 1pm each day...hated the crowds...and left by 5p.m....

He said..."I hate Disney."

I said..."No you hate feeling stupid...which you should because you did not pick up the phone and call me and ask any advice...so...because you like to waste money...you bought water...that had you asked would have been free...and got to the parks at the hottest part of the day..instead of being at a pool...and wasted a 4 day hopper on 3 parks...4 hours a day...because you did not know how to use a fast pass and instead of asking...blamed Disney."

Have I said before I have zero tolerance for people who are dumb with money...if you have that much to waste...give it to me...and I will spend half...have a better time then you did...and save the second half for another trip to Disney...

Why do people come here and complain about Disney? There is plenty of books about it...there is plenty online...they have cast members at the parks, hotel concierge, and for gosh sakes us at the Dis.

I am kinda beig snarky aren't I???

Truth is I am sorry for them having a bad time...but the phone can be your friend...esp. when you have a friend who has been there 10 times in the past 10 years...

Oh well...

WE will not have a bad time on our trip...because we know that a little planning...and a little thinking ahead...can make a trip great...and thus...

A PTR 12 months early!!! :rotfl2:

:lmao: Then what did he say?

:lmao: Then what did he say?

He just looked at me and said...well some of the stuff we did was free from Tupperware because we got them last year at World Summit when we stayed at the Grand Floridian...

I said...so it is better because you wasted free tickets instead of valuing them? There are many people who can't afford to go...and would have taken full advantage of the opportnity...Doesn't seem to me to be a very Christian thing to do...I mean the bible says do not be wastefull...

And then...he did not say squat...

Cause I was right...and he ws wrong...and then...he blamed Disney...like a little kid blaming someone else for their mistake...

I felt very good about myself...because more money doesn't equal more common sense!:woohoo:

Hi all...will be writing updates this week....I am counting down to the wonderfull dates of December....

Completely OFF topic Question Of the Day / Rant of people who deem themselves helpless....: :offtopic:

How do you deal with people who are jealous of your trips to Disney?

I know people that yack about things they do not know...perceive that others are paying for the trip...and what it comes down to...is simple jealousy. I save my money throughout the year...work towards things...and they...spend it differently....

Hard to go to Disney when you eat out often, go to movies a lot, buy unneccesary items etc....

I personally do not give a rats rear if that is what you do with your money...but...when you have to tear apart others to build yourself up...it drives me crazy...

When you can't simply be happy for someone elses happiness...and have to bad mouth or lie to make yourself feel better...you have major problems...

It is the same with weight loss...why is it when you are the fat friend...people dont mind...but you can be in the same skin....have the same personality....and then when you lose weight...they say that you are biachy etc...

I have no room in my life for small people...regardless of their weight....stature or bank account...if you want something in life...make it happen for yourself...and be happy for others....cause there is nothing stopping you from a vacation, weight loss, income gain or happiness except yourself!

Thank you for your patience popcorn:: I now will not feel the need to smack someone so you have done your civic duty to stop RSPV....(Random Stupid People Violence....) :rolleyes1 Do we have a Boxing Bag smiley? :rotfl2:
