Hi all.
Snap, glad you survived the appointment. I hope the colonoscopy is also a breeze for you. I have to get one every other year due to cancer. Out of all of the tests/treatments I endure, I hate this one the most. The procedure is fine but the prep is terrible. I hope you have a laptop so you can stream Casey from the bathroom.
PK, how excited are you getting? I'm literally green with envy. I would so love to do a short vacation between now and October when we go to WDW but it's such a hassle dealing with the dogs. After a few weeks of 100+ temps though, I'm always looking for an escape.
What happened to Kimmar?
He gave me a choice of drinking the liquid or taking the 32 pills; I asked for the pills, hope I made the right decision

Snap, glad you kept the appointment and are now feeling better about it.
Pakey, I'm getting very, very excited. However, I don't suggest you join me in Turks if you're unhappy with 100+ degree temps. Apparently it's about 90 each day with a "real feel" of around 100. Good thing sipping umbrella drinks won't cause me too much discomfort and sweating.
Haven't seen Kimmar in a while. I'm assuming she had the end of the year crazies with school, and protesting our Governor's latest agenda, and finally enjoying her summer as much as possible. Again, it's all guesswork on my part.
Got PK's final report card yesterday. She did well for her first year. Not what I was hoping for, but okay nonetheless. She did manage to get first honors (finally) this marking period. Very happy about that.My frustration stems from her horrible exam grades. She does well in class, then tanks on her exams every marking period.
Her final GPA (thanks to gym, Intro to Tech and honors weighting) was a 93.87. Hoping for better next year. Unfortunately, PK is a lazy student. She'll tell you herself. She thinks she's doing great getting 83-86s in all her main classes (English, History, Math and Science). I'm really hoping for better next year. I wish she would take it seriously instead of coasting. Just a little extra effort would go a long way. You know when it will all sink in that she should have put forth more effort? When it's time to sign on the dotted line for college loans.
She's plowing through summer homework as we speak. In a way I'm glad they get as much as they do. Never really gives her the opportunity to fall out of that pattern. (She'd kill me if she heard me say that
).
PK, don't tell her, but I think she is doing great 93.87!!! So happy your trip is coming up soon, but I don't think I could take that kind of heat!
Hi Wick!!!!!!! Loved the centerpiece!
I'm bummed that the trial is concluding this weekend and I won't have a computer, or probably be near a TV til late at night. Oh well, I'll have to suffer at the beach!
