Yikes, Kerrie -- I didn't realize she was close to that one. This is as of yesterday from the Texas Forest Service web site (I used to do communications for them, so I always read it when they have fires or respond to other situations):

WICHITA COUNTY COMPLEX, Wichita County. 11,785 acres, 90 percent contained. The complex is made up of three fires – Iowa West, Holiday, Missile – burning around Wichita Falls. Shepard Air Force Base was threatened, as were hundreds of homes and apartment complexes around the area. Twenty homes are reported destroyed.

At least it is 90% contained. Hope they get it completely out soon.

She was next to the Missile one. Her house, the one I grew up in, is off of Missile Road. She can still smell the smoke.

No, PKsMom -- I'm not going to "that" Will's wedding. My older son (also named Will by the way) is getting married in June. I'm trying to fit in the dress I bought which is a little "tight," so I don't look like a whale in the wedding pictures for posterity. I'm afraid to try it on right now. It has to be looser than when I bought it, but I need all the motivation I can get to keep losing.

Changing subjects -- I'm listening to The Phantom of the Opera and like music on Pandora right now. I LOVE "The Music of the Night," and I finally watched the DVD of the PoTO yesterday. So, now I can't get enough.

No way. That is more intimacy than I want to have with my inlaws. Generic face book conversation is all they get from me (and that's after 26 years).
