Let's try again. Tinkerbell is on tv, so school hasn't started, yet.
PK, a Harry Potter exhibit!!! My oldest will be so jealous. She's Harry Potter obsessed. I recently re-read all the books myself. It gets kinda boring sitting and nursing, so why not lose yourself at Hogwarts. DS, who will be 8 next month, is in the middle of book 4. He's reading through them much faster than I expected. H wants to read the books, but she's only 6. She's just not ready, yet.
Snap, the kids went in the water, but I only walked through it. The water was still pretty cold. And, I'm still nursing, so I don't want to contaminate the bottles with gulf water.
Wickey, wedding details, please.
Just had a very eye opening conversation over the weekend. PK will be allowed to get her learner's permit in just 7 months. For those of you who don't pay close attention, she's only been crossing the street by herself for the past 3 years.
Wow, either you learn to cut the cord or it gets ripped right out of you by the government telling her she can drive.
With that also comes the huge car insurance bill. I'm sure it's going to cost a minimum of $2k a year. I think that kid needs to get a job 'cause last time I checked, no money trees in the yard. Wow, she'll be 16, have a learner's permit and be that much closer to college. Do they have methadone clinics for parents who need to be weened off their kids?
I'm missing her already and she's not even gone yet.

Is PK locked in a barn on her farm?
Pakey, how is Andy? You never told us why you haven't talked to your brother in so long.
Is Alpha finished unpacking?
Did anyone else watch DWTS last night and see Maks and Kirstie fall?
Did Kim ever finish her trip report?
Did GP go off to pilage?
Are Scotlass and Wickey up to shenanigans?
What is the meaning of life?

Snap, I think baby V knows the meaning of life. She certainly seems pretty content. It might have something to do with looking at your hands because she does that a lot lately.

Again, AWWWWW!!![]()
I told DH that I don't know what I'm going to do when I don't have a baby anymore. I've had one for so long.V had her first bites of cereal last night. She's rolling over and scooching about on the floor. I can't imagine when she's that close to being able to drive. Of course, I could have grandkids by the time my youngest gets to that point.

Wedding details -- it is in June, and older DS is marrying the sweetest girl ever! We just love her. She invited me to go wedding dress shopping last fall -- how cool is that? Her dress is gorgeous! It came in last week, and it fits! She only has to have it shortened just a little. She's maybe 5 ft., and DS is all of 6'2". Cute together though!
I have a "mother of the groom" dress.Sorry, it's just funny to me. Anyway, it's a little tight, so I'm working on losing a few (read a bunch!) of pounds so I will not be such a whale in the wedding pictures everyone will look at forever.
Her colors are pale clover green, hydrangea blue and ivory.
Little DS is best man! I can't wait to see the 11-year old in a tux.
Sorry -- maybe too much details?![]()
Wickey there are NEVER too many details when discussing an upcoming wedding, especially if it is your son's wedding! We are going to need pictures, the color scheme sounds beautiful!!!
Alpha, I can't believe "V" is scooching already, where does the time go
PK, driving???![]()
The situation with my brother: I really don't talk about any of the dark stuff in my personal life, I'm rather private. But the cliff notes version is that my son has mental health issues that are now controlled (most of the time) with medicine. Diagnosis came late in life and he had a difficult childhood as a result. My brother believed that my son's problems were because I'm a liberal person. Not just in my beliefs but in how I raised the kids (I am not a toe the line, disciplinarian).
My brother believed his children would grow up to be perfect because he was the perfect parent. He's also the type who has a wife who does not work and she is EXPECTED to handle everything at home, even down to anticipating when his iced tea glass needs refilling. He handles the money, she has to ask to purchase anything, yada yada yada.
So here I am, incredibly independent and very liberal and my brother believes women still belong in aprons and pearls and he's very conservative in his beliefs.
OH, and not that this makes me happy, but my nephew was recently released from the state prison after 15 months. My mother has told me that my brother was humbled by having gone through this. I wouldn't know, we didn't discuss anything this "deep" at our lunch.

Alphamom, you'd have a problem in my car. At 5'8", I've struggled in it. You practically lay down in the seat.
PK.at the mother of the bride dress. I hope my daughters in law didn't feel that way about what I wore. Of course, I was bald for the Hawaiian wedding and was wearing a hat--it was a look I liked less than the leg warmers of the 80s.
And Andy is doing fine. He won't take treats out of my hand anymore but other than that, he's actually better. He seems more playful; I have a feeling that bad eye has bothered him since birth with burning, itching. Now he's carefree.
