Perhaps you should follow Pakey's lead and take a vacation someone warm with lots of cold drinks. But, try to find the cute cabana boys.
 
Cabana boys were not cute. None of them. I think that's why they had to charge so much for drinks; they weren't going to be making any money the old fashioned way.

Kids are wonderful! DH's back is doing better, but he's taking more medication than he would care to. Surgery is in the future, but hopefully further out.

We are planning a trip to the beach next week. DH is taking off Thurs and Fri. We've been studying water creatures, so we're going to take a field trip to the aquarium and the beach to get a better look. And, just to have a break and enjoy ourselves. :goodvibes

::yes:: Where's the proud smiley? Started on the 12th. Only missed 2 days since then but trying to not overdue it and make myself hate it. Then I'd just give up. I actually wound up with huge blisters on my heels so I think I might take the night off tonight, but I'll see when I get home. Have given up soda (except an occasional diet soda), eating cereal and fruit for breakfast instead of bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches. Of course I have a long way to go, both weight wise and diet wise, but I'm trying to do it in small increments. Possibly this week, or maybe next, I plan on going back to the gym, maybe 2x a week to start a weight training/machine program. Right now I'm just walking on the treadmill at home. My goal is to lose 20 pounds by the time Beaches rolls around, but I'd be happy with 15.

BTW Pakey, you knew you only needed to ask one question and I'd run off at the mouth about it, didn't you? :laughing: So for being a good friend and asking that one question, thank you! ;)

I'm proud of you. Keep it up. I gained 5 pounds on vacation so I'm on a mission to take it back off, plus another 5, before Orlando in October.

Thank you everyone! I've started and stopped a million times. I'm trying to learn to not beat myself up. Yesterday I had a Guilt Free Snickers Bar. I wanted it, I was starving and you know what, I ate it and I didn't feel bad at all. Didn't mean I went off the wagon, didn't mean I had now doomed myself. It was a just a candy bar and it had no power over me. I need to find a way to make this a life change and doable each day. It took my 15-20 years to put this weight on, I'm going to have to learn it might take me 15-20 years to take it off. Slow and steady. :woohoo:

Pakey, I often think of you when Cheerios come up and last night B told me we shouldn't get the octopus covered with Cheerios.
 
I have some cheerios every morning. I eat bran flakes but I have to put a small portion of cheerios over the top of the bran flakes in order to stomach it.

What's after the bran??? The next step will be Depends.

Andy is doing very good. But Paris Hairless Hilton is smarter than she looks. Andy can't see me holding out the treats very well and she has figured out that she can swoop in and grab the treat while he's still trying to figure out where it is. Obviously she has diet issues too.

OH, and yes, I was very disappointed with the looks on those cabana boys. Even after 4 drinks (the most I had in one day), they were still ugly. I would think they make pretty good money on tips; cosmetic alterations should be mandatory.
 
Maybe you should pull Paris' sweater over her head at treat time :lmao: Give Andy a fighting chance.
