Speaking of pottys and pictures, when H was 3, we went to Disney World with DH's family. H had a bit of a poop obsession at the time. Sil and Fil thought it was funny to have a looonnnggg conversation with her about her potty deposits and told her she should take a picture of it. Being 3, she took it seriously and asked me at EVERY bathroom break to take a picture for her Pa and her aunt. I finally got tired of telling her no, so when we got home I took a picture, and emailed it to both saying it was the newest princess picture. Luckily, they'd both forgotten they asked her for a picture, and both opened it.

Yeah...I've been wondering how much detail to share when I decide to take a picture of the toilet flushing! Now I know....there is no such thing as too much detail.

245 pages, this thread is almost done and it smells like bacon.

Had a nice weekend, went to the beach, fed the hummingbirds, etc. Nothing exciting, but relaxing. :)

Evening Snappp! How was your weekend?

Melbourne is celebrating a Winter Festival....of sorts. This is the second year it's in operation and I think it might become a fixture in the never-ending round of festivals that Melbourne hosts.

Here are some of my pictures from the festival this weekend.

The festival is held in the grounds between the Royal Exhibition Building and the Melbourne Museum.

It doesn't seem to be a very big thing and there are only about 4 or 5 places that serve food....

...and quite a few marquees that serve drinks and gluhwein.

Marquees are set up around the ice skating rink.

I was lucky enough to catch some of the skaters practising whilst a photographer was taking promo shots...I'm guessing for next year.

I wasn't interested in promotional shots...just practising sport photography.

Aside from being cute, these guys were fun!

They were running the BBQ stand....

...and wanted me to take some pictures of them.

I obliged and scored me a free Chorizo sausage in a roll.

Do you know? I think it was my first paid gig! :rotfl: Sadly, I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of it. It was delicious!

We did snack on some Dutch poffertjers.

To finish up, here are some of my more arty farty shots...

ps. This coming weekend is the Wattle Festival. I think I might just mosey along if the weather is good and post some pictures here first, if they are semi-decent.

Those pictures are wonderful, you have an eye for photography!!! :worship::worship:

I have a few also, but they are not artsy like yours. I'll be back!

(I love the little pizza oven!)

This is how the weekend started, on the way to NJ:

And this is how it ended, back in NY:

Your sunsets over Manhattan are just beautiful. Next time I'm in NYC I'm going to hunt out your balcony! :teeth:

Are those clouds in Joisey part of the Hurricane Irene system?

I don't think so, it was beautiful for most of the weekend. We are expecting Irene next week, so I might have some interesting pictures for you then!

We have a place in the woods in New Jersey, on weekends when the weather is nice we drive to the beach (Long Beach Island, which is about 25 miles from my house). During the week we live in NY, but only until DH retires next spring.
