The "I gotta do something to pass the time"pre-trip report

You are most welcome! i love him too, he's so cute. i know what you mean about worrying, my BF is a professional worrier so i usually let him take care of most of mine, makes my days a little easier hehe. my list is gradually getting shorter, too. i made my best friend come shopping with me today and she kept me from getting too stressed out, kept me focused and on task, so that was a big help!

2 MORE DAYS

And of course to see my little Rudolph.

I did manage to get some sleep last night but have lots to do today
But had better go to work and it will be a long sad day saying good bye to my little patients several of them will not understand why I am not around for several days and that will confuse them.
Then we have about 12 holiday baskets to deliver this evening to those that we won't see before Christmas because of our trip.

NOT TO MENTION ......I HAVE GOT TO PACK or Mickey and Friends are ging to be shocked by my ALL naturalness

Sare....I need to borrow your friend so she can keep me stress free today.

omgoodness, TWO MORE DAYS! i'm so happy and excited for you!

Just be sure to bring her back safely from WDW, okay? She's my best friend and i love her dearly.

i am much more calm today. Yesterday i had a bit of a nervous breakdown wondering how i was going to get everything done, between work and volunteering, i'm a little overwhelmed. However i solved part of the problem by buying a little 36" tree, decorating it and putting it on the dining room table. Hung the stockings on the stair railings, put the wreath on the door, ok, Christmas decorating is DONE. It's a cop-out but i just do not have the energy this year.

So now my list of things to do before my BF arrives on Tuesday is much shorter and more manageable. i also am ALMOST finished shopping! Whoot!

i hope that your day goes well and you get everything done on your list. i'm glad you had a good night's sleep - not surprising after the last few nights i guess!

Wow Vickey!! You've been a busy girl!!! You must be so excited!! I'm keeping my fingers & toes crossed the snow will stay away on when you leave! We're supposed to have some Saturday into Sunday! Stupid winter!

By the way, guess what? I make chocolate too! LOL! My mom used to make chocolate when I was a kid and I always loved doing it. She used to make us these giant hershey kisses for easter that I LOVED. I actually made chocolates as my wedding favors! I swear I made like 5000 little chocolate shamrocks!!! It was crazy!!!

I'm glad your list is shrinking also. Is BF staying for Christmas?
I think your decorations sound adorable, I didn't decorate as much as I usually do and everyone has been teasing me about not seeing the mistletoe above the commodes(yes I do that for a reason....my nephews a couple years ago made the comment that it was the safest room in the house since it didn't have a mistletoe so what does Aunt Vickey do but put one up over the commode the next year)
Is Jess excited about Christmas? I can't wait to read how she reacts to her surprises.

At Easter I make the alot of chocolates.

I have my night planned out to look over my plans and see if I am going to change anything or keep it the same. Read everything on documents so I don't mess up anything.
I already have my e-bay purse orgnized and loaded with my magical MAD money.
I have some of my suitcases packed and our backpack out ready for DH to finish packing with cameras, camcorder and his other electronic gadgets he loves to take.I have my magazines in there along with a few snacks just incase.

I have a secret that I just came up with today after looking at the sale ads in the newspaper but don't tell......I am thinking about taking DH out shopping tomorrow for a new camcorder for Christmas ours is kinda outdated and as my son says it is a dinosaur compared to the new ones out there. He keeps telling me I need a new updated version camera too.But then my son is all into the NEW technology and is pulling his dad in too. I probably would still be using my 50 lb self loading film camera I had in hight school if it wasn't for them. They got me a digital camera about 6 years ago and it took me forever to learn how to load the film (only to find out it doesn't take any )
Now you know why it has taken me so long to still try and post pictures.

Well I am off to re-do my plans.

i spent the afternoon with friends today in a totally irresponsible ignoring of the LIST but this morning i managed to make a lovely card for everyone to sign at my mum's surprise birthday party next week (she's going to be 50 on Monday; the party's on Friday. i've been planning it since late August and it's STILL a surprise!). i am feeling pretty good about my list!

A surprise 50th how nice I know your mother will appreciate all the planning you have done to make this day special for her. You are such a dear daughter no wonder God gave you two mothers. If you ever need a third just let me know, I always wanted a daughter.

I was able to mark some more things off my list... I now have all the clothes packed just have to throw in the extra tennis shoes and the last minute back pack items

I have been able to read all the info in the trip packets. Also have it packed in my carry on. Re-checked my agenda for which parks and organized my trip folder with all my gathered info from the Dis.
Attached my Lime Green Mickey Heads to my purse and DH's back pack.

I will do the Dining tip envelopes when I get smaller bills forgot to get those at the bank today. Also have to remember to pack quarters for the laundry and pressed pennies.

That just leaves me with cleaning the house and going shopping to get DH (maybe) his camcorder. And of course try and get some sleep.

We leave Sunday at 9:00am and get into Orlando at 11:00am.
We depart on Monday Dec. 15th at 6:00pm and get into Cincinnati at 8:05pm that gives us 1/2 day to spend at a park

Sounds like you are all set - i will never be that organised! i did ask for one of those Passporter books for Christmas, though, that might help. i hope you are able to get a good camcorder for a good deal! Sounds like a great Christmas present for your DH!

I wish I'd known about the passporter before I started my folder it could've made my organizing easier. Like I said I am usually so organized and have everything done yesterday that needs done tomorrow.

I can see where BF would get the idea that D stands for dead. In your line of work.
I can only imagine how excited you are about him coming in it must be hard to be separated.

Being separated is hard, most of the time, but being together has its difficult moments too. It also sucks that this is the first time he'll be here where i'm working full-time hours (when he was here this summer i was working 25 hours a week and now i'm at 37). But i'm sure my dad will keep him amused

1 day left!! only one day! You're going TOMORROW! Holy cow! Holy squirrell! i'm so excited for you and i hope every single part of your trip is wonderful and magical and absolutely coated in pixie dust. You are such a special person and you deserve a really special holiday.

I'm of Irish-German(mothers side)-Indian-Hillbilly(fathers side) ancestry.....a heinz 57 mix.
I just finished everything except last minute add ins such as hairbrush,blowbrush and make-up.
Who's calm not me I have a stress headache the size of TEXAS.
I have used every emotion the good Lord gave me today....barking out orders to DH and son,threatening to Mickey slap everyone even the cats and dog and lastly crying because I 'm reminded of why we are going to Disney....Celebrating 5 more wonderful years that the good Lord has given me and thankful for every minute.
There I go again ....waterworks...sniff sniff ...wipes eyes and continues to post.

I got my DH his camcorder he was so surprised and happy. I can't believe how small it is...It is smaller than the palm of my hand. It is a Panasonic.

But here is a bigger shocker....my DH was going to wait till we got to Disney to surprise me with one of my gifts but gave it to me after we got home from shopping ,he got me a new digital camera(mine wasn't that great after I dropped it several vacations ago). So Mickey watch out we are armed with camera's and camcorders and are planning on getting your every move.

We got in very late Tuesday night/morning due to snow. Our trip was wonderful with just a few disappointments.Will fil you in later on details.
I do hope you get to spend some personal quality time with BF.
It won't be long that Jess with be surprised by your kindness/gifts for Disney.

It crossed our minds more than once especially the last day it was 80* and sunny in Fla. and we were being told by our sons that it was cold and snowing with a possibility of freezing rain.
