The I am a pirate/fireman, I am not a hijacker thread, all about nothing in general

For the Mickey and Minnie fans - I walked past Typo today and they were covered in Hipster Mickey signs. It looked like a bigger deal than the range on their website suggests, but I didn't actually go in store:

Thanks for that, I love the 'Easy on the eye' I might buy some for the flight. I wonder if they have mickey ones and I will buy them for the boys as well. As the kids are not getting any birthday gifts this year - the holiday is their gift. I am putting together a little bag of goodies for them, those and some of the other item would be great to add to it.

I keep checking Facebook waiting for news that I am an Aunty again.

My SIL was induced this morning due to complications with babies growth.

I'm excited, yet a tad worried, at the same time.

I hope everything has gone well for mum and bub and you have woken the morning as a new Aunty.:flower:

Any news? :flower3:

Yes and No. The great news is that I became a 4th time Aunty in the early hours of the morning.

The not-so-great news is that information is slow to hand. The father (my SIL's husband) has announced the birth on Facebook by posting a few pics up of mother and child sleeping (they both have IVs in them and bubs is very small), but he hasn't provided any information about whether or not they are okay. A lot of people have asked on Facebook (including myself), but information hasn't been forthcoming. As of this morning, my worried MIL was getting no answer from either parent's cellphone.

In saying all this, I haven't had any contact with MIL or DH since this morning. Hopefully as soon as DH gets home from work, he'll have some good news to pass on (touchwood).

Assuming all is well, we'll make the drive north this weekend to go meet the new addition to the clan.

Hope everything is okay and it's just an oversight by the new father for including the pertinent information.

Are you a boy auntie or a girl auntie?

A boy. :)

I'm now an Aunty to 4 boys (2 to my sister, two to my SIL). My Mum and MIL are both desperate for a girl grandchild and keep dropping hints to DH and I. They seem to think one can choose the gender of their child. :rolleyes2

:scratchin Anyone would think that your mum and MiL have never had children before. :faint:

I hope you've had some news :goodvibes however just to sooth your concern if you haven't, when DD was born she was admitted as a NICU baby, and DH and I spent most of our time in the nursery with her. So for the first 48 hours (at least) we were more or less unreachable, as phones were turned off.

DD was fine, but they just wanted to monitor her closely (as I'm sure is the same with your nephew) and we didn't want to leave her side.

So in other words, I'm sure everything is fine :thumbsup2

Thanks Bec. :goodvibes

I went to see bub today and all is well. He is very small, but off the feeding tube and feeding happily from his mum.

Just incase anyone missed this....

This is where the search for the missing Malaysia airlines plane is being co-ordinated from... according to a Texas tv station. Oh and I mean seach not search ;)

:lmao:

You have to give them credit for at least getting the right country.

Ah yes, this is true :lmao:

I was listening to CNN the other day and there was an "expert" being interviewed, he was a former something (FBI, some US agency), talking about the stolen passport. He said that they would be looking for caucasians, as it was an Italian and an Australian who had their passports stolen. :rotfl2: Um no, that would be an Italian and an AUSTRIAN!

Australia, Austria, same thing :rotfl:

It's only a difference of R-A-L.

If they can get Perth located in Tasmania, what's 3 little letters? :upsidedow

Just got home from Woolworth's.

Not sure if this is a Australia-wide special, but anyone is looking for Easter chocolate, the one near me was having a 25% off special. I got the Lindt easter bunnies for $3.75.
