I have come to a fork in my life, which way to go?
It's only a two pronged fork but the decision isn't in my hands as such
As i'm turning 36 next year, the end of my child bearing years are staring me in the face, I may have a very real chance to establish a career in a field that i've always wanted to try.
If i'm not pregnant by the end of next year i'm going to apply to be a police officer.
DH says go for it![]()

Good luck! It sounds like a good opportunity for you... some pixie dust coming your way, Ihope.
Karen , seriously, it's time you kicked this coughing habit! You have 34 days ( is it 34? I usually rely on you for the numbers) before you hit that tarmac. Time to be well - using my force for good instead of evil.. healthy, you will be...

we are at 34 sleeps
I'm on antibiotics, cold and flu, cough mixture, panadol, lemon tea, zinc plus....back at work today, but feel horrible.
even my normally calm and patient DH is getting annoyed at the coughing and me being ill.
i hate this week![]()
Your prince is right. You need to get better first.
you poor thing. being ill seriously sucks. i'm sure you've thought of this, but maybe go lie down in the sunlight?
i know when i got seriously ill one of the first things they checked was my vit D levels, which were chronically low. apparently sunlight helps boost our immune system and helps our bodies naturally recharge. who knew? at first i thought i was a bunch of BS but after months on vit D tabs daily and a daily dose of sitting in the sun for 10-20 mins (previously, i got no direct sunlight during my day AT ALL), i feel heaps better cold & flu wise and have managed to avoid 2 of carlo's nasty flus...
i hope that you get better before you go... and if not, and i'm sure lying in that florida sunshine, sipping mai tais by the pool, you will feel better in no time![]()
thanks mate, I know my flus are nothing compared with what you are going thru, I'm just feeling a tad sorry for myself.....i dont know how you deal with chronic illness, the depression associated with it would be horrible, let alone the illness itself.
don't push yourself re a new job.....take time to get better first...![]()

Oh the chronic thing is hard to deal with so i just get through it one day at a time .. But being ill like with the flu for a long time is more debilitating in my opinion... hope you feel better soon.
Wont find out about the job til at least next wednesday. They are looking for the right 'fit' with the existing team more so than experience or anything so personality will be the deciding factor...
Oh my god I think the heater has broken down in our office. I am freezing!!!![]()
