The I am a pirate/fireman, I am not a hijacker thread, all about nothing in general

So sounds like there is no decision to be made !

A big change either way!

Good luck!! :wizard::wizard:

I have come to a fork in my life, which way to go?

It's only a two pronged fork but the decision isn't in my hands as such :thumbsup2

As i'm turning 36 next year, the end of my child bearing years are staring me in the face, I may have a very real chance to establish a career in a field that i've always wanted to try.

If i'm not pregnant by the end of next year i'm going to apply to be a police officer.
DH says go for it :thumbsup2

Both options sound wonderful! Good luck either way :)

Sounds like a fabulous path lies ahead of you no matter which option ends up coming to pass. I am 31 but we want to be pregnant by the time i am 33... Hoping we manage to pull it off :)

Best of luck to you!!

Good luck! It sounds like a good opportunity for you... some pixie dust coming your way, Ihope. pixiedust:

Karen , seriously, it's time you kicked this coughing habit! You have 34 days ( is it 34? I usually rely on you for the numbers :lmao: ) before you hit that tarmac. Time to be well - using my force for good instead of evil.. healthy, you will be... :yoda:

Andona

we are at 34 sleeps

I'm on antibiotics, cold and flu, cough mixture, panadol, lemon tea, zinc plus....back at work today, but feel horrible.

even my normally calm and patient DH is getting annoyed at the coughing and me being ill.

i hate this week:furious:

you poor thing. being ill seriously sucks. i'm sure you've thought of this, but maybe go lie down in the sunlight?

i know when i got seriously ill one of the first things they checked was my vit D levels, which were chronically low. apparently sunlight helps boost our immune system and helps our bodies naturally recharge. who knew? at first i thought i was a bunch of BS but after months on vit D tabs daily and a daily dose of sitting in the sun for 10-20 mins (previously, i got no direct sunlight during my day AT ALL), i feel heaps better cold & flu wise and have managed to avoid 2 of carlo's nasty flus...

i hope that you get better before you go... and if not, and i'm sure lying in that florida sunshine, sipping mai tais by the pool, you will feel better in no time :)

Your prince is right. You need to get better first.

yeah. he was. he came home and gave me the lecture. we talked/argued/talked about it for a bit.

today, i have my rescheduled interview. i'm not nervous. i'm not stressed. we decided that this was just a trial run to see how my body copes with returning to work. yesterday, i had a little freakout.

knowing there's no pressure to get back to work and that this is just a 'let's see if i can do it' kind of thing has made me feel heaps better... so if i get this job, great. if i don't... i'll just spend a little more time at home getting better. win/win.

but i really do hope i get it. extra money is always good what with bills and doctors and dentists and regular expenses, and it means that i can actually put down some deposits for our trip next year, rather than just dreaming about it... :)

thanks mate, I know my flus are nothing compared with what you are going thru, I'm just feeling a tad sorry for myself.....i dont know how you deal with chronic illness, the depression associated with it would be horrible, let alone the illness itself.

don't push yourself re a new job.....take time to get better first...:wizard:

Oh the chronic thing is hard to deal with so i just get through it one day at a time .. But being ill like with the flu for a long time is more debilitating in my opinion... hope you feel better soon.

Wont find out about the job til at least next wednesday. They are looking for the right 'fit' with the existing team more so than experience or anything so personality will be the deciding factor...

You still have a few child bearing years ahead of you yet!!!

Both choices are ACE!

Karen - Rest, recover and think of the warm Florida sun. Hope this week passes quickly for you.

Good luck! And congrats for making it to the interview. At the very least, you've given it your best shot.
