Hopefully it will be back in your bank monday morning. pixiedust:

Congrats on the great result Sam.

You're off to a flying start for real life already. Under promise and over deliver.

7am and im awake, the course looks lovely this morning, all white and frosty, DH says its like hitting off ice

Last night was eventful, one six year old vomiting, one 40 year old thinking he had food poisoning and spending quite a bit of time in the loo.
Me? Nothing, nada, zilch...cast iron gut ;)

Take care of yourself Bec.

You can tell DH that he didn't need to go all that way for ice. Frosty on my front lawn this morning too.

congrats sam on the great results. now, you can focus all your time on your trip planning.

i have spent all weekend trying to plan out a rough guideline/timeframe etc for our trip next year so that i can alert the others who are coming on a rough price range so that they can all start to put savings plans in order.

Anyway, the one upside to my day (besides the ad's for Magic Mike :rotfl:)

What a day!

I left home at 10am this morning on my way to Newcastle, dropped the dog off at mums and headed back home again, as I had forgotten my "driving food" :rotfl:

I got past Singleton and DH called me to see if I could do a favour for him. Meet someone half way between Newcastle and Sydney to pick up some parts that he needed. I said yeah that would be fine, where would they like to meet? ... Hornsby...

:rotfl2:

So after pointing out that Hornsby was hardly half way between Sydney and Newcastle, he said he knew and he was sorry, but he was in a bit of a bind, and I'd be doing him a huge favour. It was fine, I was really only planning on shopping today, and because of the way the afternoon was going to work, I was going to get a couple of hours at Tugerah Westfield any way.

So I turned off at Cessnock and headed to the freeway that way. In Kearsley I came across an accident - looks like a Postie was knocked off his bike. I passed that and heading into road works. Halfway through the roadworks I could see an ambulance trying to get past a line of cars waiting behind a lollypop man (coming towards me) so I stopped in the middle of the roadworks and motioned the lollypop man over - he thought I was crazy and kept trying to wave me through, so I yelled "ambulance" at him and pointed down the road. He jumped on his walkie talkie and told the opposite lollypop man to stop sending cars through. The ambo zoomed past waving at me, because they were obviously having trouble trying to get to the postie.

I spent about 2 hours in Tuggerah - and also spent a fortune :crazy2: and after dumping my shopping in my car I headed back in to get some lunch. Before I could decide what I wanted though DH called and said "Please tell me you've left for Hornsby already??"

I was waiting on his call to find out where to meet these people, so no I hadn't left. It was about 3:45pm and apparently DH had forgot to call me back, and the person I was meeting was due to get to the meeting point at about 4pm :rotfl:

So I skipped lunch and jumped back in the car, back along the freeway. I was just meeting them at the truckstop just off the berowra exit, so it wasn't too far, and they ended up getting stuck in traffic anyway, so I got there about 15 minutes before they did.

Finally back on the road again and a nice uneventful trip back to Newie. I dropped DH's parts off and hung around the site for a little bit.

THEN - I got back in the car to head to the cabin that DH rents during the week. I started by going in the complete wrong direction... For about 15 minutes, so I pulled over and quickly searched for the tourist park, turned around and started heading back in what I thought was the right direction. Pulled up out the front of the park, and realised I'd searched for the wrong park :headache:

Getting very frustrated at this point I once again searched for the tourist park, and found the right one... Headed off again and *finally* found it... Now I'm inside trying to heat the cabin up, but it smells like smelly boys :rolleyes2

So now I'm sitting under the heater, feet up watching telly telling myself it was all worth it... Tomorrow is the flight of the conchords... It will be all worth it...

Thank you for that.... pixiedust:
DBF is in that line of work and the stuff like that makes their day just a slightly bit brighter...amongst the useless drunks...drongo parents....and bureaucracy gone mad :crazy2:
Of course they would have likely spent most of the trip ripping the piss out of the lollypop man :stir:

Awesome! That was one good thing about my trip, I played FotC the whole way, including their BBC radio series, kept me entertained. :goodvibes

DH isn't actually home from work yet... :crazy2: Poor fella, he's really pushing to get this job done before we head off to Japan. I wish there was actually more I could do to help him get done faster. No one likes working from 6am till after 10pm... He joked that he could still be at the site at midnight, well I thought he was joking anyway... :scared:

BecBennett wow i hope that you warm up and that tomorrow is less eventful for you.
