The burn hasnt blistered its just red and warmer (and a touch tender)than the rest of my skin it should be all good but i will keep an eye on it

I hope the arm is on the mend. You must be so proud of the kids. Stay safe and focus on the great time ahead. The bit I love most about trips is actually being removed from home and being I the moment with the kids without the normal day to day chaos. This is the universe reminding you to Stop and enjoy.

Thanks i am so looking forward to us all being together for all that time especially the little things like waking up with DH every morning for 7 weeks this last 6 months of FIFO(Fly in Fly out) I have found that the hardest especially since March when he has been doing 2weeks away 1 home so we could still go on our trip, its amazing how much difference little things like a hug from your DH in the morning make. People think i am crazy to be happy to spend that much time with my family but for us these trip and making memories bonds a closer as a family something I will be eternally grateful for

My clothes dryer caught fire once, luckily the fire dept arrived quickly and there wasn't much damage. It was SO scary!

It is scary isn't it and it is amazing the things that go through your mind at that time

So as some of you know, my DH died years ago, in an accident, so it was sudden and a massive shock.

Anyway I was on youtube last night and I found a video of him. It was from when he was young, years before we met. He was a sportsman so it was a couple of interviews of him and then about 5 minutes of him doing the sport he did best (and loved).

I called my son down as i had never seen this video or interview on him before and my DS doesn't remember his dad.

I have been howling all night, even after years I still miss him. Wondering what our lives would be like now if he were still here. I know we would have had more kids. It was so nice hearing him talk, clown around with others, playing his sport and I had forgotten his voice. It's amazing how over time you forget their voice.

I've been trying to work out how to get it off youtube to save a copy of it. Everything I try doesn't seem to work.

Anyway just wanted to share

I know that DS did download videos from youtube and save it on the computer. I suspect that DH might have gotten a free download program. Google download videos from youtube and there is quite a few options available. Some of the stuff seems to be for "free".

If no one else responds, I'll ask DH later.

you have to download something to keep you tube videos now they have changed something on their site I will ask the kids when they get up what it is.

Thanks It was lovely for DS to see it and particularly as it had him playing around with others and joking and laughing (as well as being interviewed), they are SO much alike, their mannerisms, it's a bit freaky actually!

What a beautiful piece of magic My wonderful staff do all the saving from you tube for me. It is a program you download. We will find the way. Can you contact the person who posted. Perhaps they may have other hidden treasures. What a mixed lot of emotions you would be feeling.

It was lovely to find! I couldn't believe it and just watched it about a dozen times! He was such a gorgeous man, best sense of humor, it was so nice seeing him. I didn't realise that I'd forgotten his voice and his laugh, it was so nice to see that and for my DS to see it and see his dad. As he doesn't remember him or have memory of him, all he knows of him is what is put in his head. So that was a lovely video to find so that he could see his laugh, smile and sense of humor and his mannerisms.

aussietravellers, I am so sorry to hear about your husband, but what an amazing thing to find this video after so many years!

This is one of the things I love about the Internet, that it can produce such treasures. I get teary thinking about how much this discovery must mean to you and your DS.
