The I am a pirate/fireman, I am not a hijacker thread, all about nothing in general

State of origami? But I don't have a state of origami... :sad1:

Switzerland, and Victoria, is a very nice neutral place to be in right now.

On that note, I bid you all good night from what could be construed as a cold and chilly Melbourne night.

It's a pretty wintery day here at the moment, all over cast and gloomy. It mustn't be that cold though, as there's still no condensation when I breathe

Downright freezing here!

I just had to drop my car in to be fixed and walk home - my ears are hurting they are so cold!

yep...2 jumpers, a heater and still shivering:sad1:
will rain soon, just in time for me to catch the train...

I have been in my current job for sixteen years - started when my DD was 6mths old - 3days per week receptionist. I have since moved on to payroll and accounts, still 3 days per week.

The company is great, dont bat an eyelid when I turn up at 9:30, when my kids were in primary school I told them I cant drop them before 8:30 so I will get there when I get there, at one point I found another job closer to home and they basically said "name your price"- I am paid well for what I do - (although not enough to afford annual OS trips :confused3)

Its not that I am that great, but I am reliable and I think they are just lazy about having to find a replacement :rotfl:

I actually resigned when my twins were born and they rang me twelve months later to do 6 weeks relief. My twins will be fifteen in October! :rotfl2:

But,......I am bored - its a small company so career options are nil - I have hit the ceiling -

I am 43 - is this it until retirement? I really would be foolish to go elsewhere in this climate and even though my kids are now teenagers, I like still working only 3days.

Let the therapy begin........(first world problems, I know...)
