The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

Uh-huh... THATS why I put the candy way up high in our top cabinet. Above the microwave.. and the dishes. She cant get to it, even on a chair. I know. She has tried. :lmao:

But then the kids turn about 10 and become taller than you! That's when you have to call them to come get the candy down out of the top cabinet for you.:lmao:

I'm glad the cnady is down to just suckers now.. less temptation staring us down. Like a big sign saying " eat me! "

We are almost there too. Just a few more tasty chocolate bits, and some SOUR starburst. YUCK.. Those things are HARSH. :scared: Then just the suckers. I dont have the patience for them. :lmao:

You know... DS4 kept sneaking candy out of his bag, so I put them both up high. I put DS8's in the cupboard over the stove (that's where we keep the breakfast cereal), and I shoved DS4's bag in the back corner of the counter.

I kept finding little empty Dots boxes and other candy wrappers, figuring the kids were getting into the candy after all. But tonight DS8 asked if he could have a piece of his Halloween candy for dessert. I said, "Sure. Get it yourself." He said, "Mama, I can't! It's way up high!"

So guess I know who's been eating the Halloween candy, huh? Little monkey. Why did I put him in gymnastics again??? :headache: :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl:

::yes::

It's very sad.. because then they start teasing you and trying to call mom "shorty"

wahhhhhhhhhh:sad1:

Darn. I rented 3 movies from Blockbuster, two of them for the kids. The kids watched theirs, and since I need to return them tomorrow, I was going to watch the one I got tonight (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants). But I can't find it! I found both of the kid vids, but where the heck is the other one???

I wonder when Alex will be taller then me. 13... 14? and Mikalah.. She will most likely be taller then me to, dont ya think? She isnt much shorter then Alex.

A slice of cheese and an apple-- mmmmmm . Too bad I have neither. :upsidedow

I'm pretty sure it's against the law to live in Washington and not have at least a dozen apples in your fridge.:rotfl: And not just any red and yellow, why you go to our grocery stores and they have almost an entire produce aisle devoted to apples....red delicious, golden delicious, gala, granny smith, honeycrisp, fuji, gravenstein, rome, and those are just the staples.

Ooohh.. i hate that! We lost one of our netflix videos once.. Found it buried under the bills on the computer desk.

I know, right? They are everywhere. My kids eat the crap out of them.. but I am not an apple fan. Poor Alex has no front teeth, so he cant eat them unless they are cut up. :lmao:

I give her until age 6 or so at this rate. :rotfl2:

Boy are you in denial! DS(10) is currently 4'6" and I'm pretty sure that by this time next year he will be taller than me. DD was 12, almost 13 when she surpassed me.

Same Shelf!!! Way up high!!
There's no room, or I would have!

When i was a kid we always had red delicious. My mom would get those "schoolboy" sized ones (is that right? the little tiny ones) to put in our lunchbox. Oh, and I think she used the romas for baking.

I don't really care for red delicious, but I love fuji and honeycrisp and granny smiths. Yummmmm! We have all three right now, I think. :rotfl:

Well ladies I need to get to bed. Happy Dreams to all!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I know. Its ridiculous. :sad2: She takes up almost the whole couch now when she lays down.

At my grandmas house the other day.. my little 6 yo cousin was playing with the kids, and he was a SMIDGE taller then her. Not even an inch. MAYBE a half an inch. Alex was just a little bit taller then he was! It was crazy watching them together. He is a short kid, my uncle is shorter then I am.. and my aunt is tiny. So they are a small family. It is just so odd to see my 3yo so close in height to a 6yo.

They had samples at the grocery store in the produce section. Caramel dipped apples-- it was two big slices in the sample cup. OMG it was so yummy!! I was tempted to run back and snarf up another.

But wouldn't buy one -- I can't bite into those sticky things, let alone bite into a big apple. Never could with braces on and now -- I just CAN'T! :lmao:

I'm down to 5 galas and 4 fuji's. Maybe we'd better ship some to Bernice.:) My neighbor has several trees, but right now we are sort of in between crops. As soon as we have a good frost the juice apples will be ready and we can press cider. YUMM!!

Yeah... But Im pretty tall. A little over 5'8"... He MIGHT hit it by the time he is 10, but I would be surprised. My mom is a little shorter then I am, by about half an inch or so... I think I evened out when i was 14 or 15, and it wasnt until then that I was taller then her.
