I feel like someone beat me today. I seem to be going thru a new stage of healing. Boy they sure weren't kidding when they said this surgery would take about 2 years to completely heal. The last month or so I've had horrible itching, that finally quit now the past few days it's been really sore.
And my back and abdomen muscles are sore I feel like I ran a marathon or something this last week. Just took an Ibuprofen so hopefully that will kick in soon.
I really do hate to complain, but geesh some days I swear I feel like I'm about 80 years old!![]()
Awww Sam, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you feel better.
I really do hate to complain. I know things could be worse and there are always others that have it worse than I do. I did choose to have this reconstruction and I knew that there would be some drawbacks when I made the decision. It's just hard sometimes because mentally I feel like I'm still 20, but my body just doesn't cooperate some days. 99% of the time I can just put a smile on my face and tell myself to have a positive mental attitude and that works and gets me thru it. But every once in a while I just have a few bad days (physically). I think I'm just getting some of the scar tissue starting to grow, plus I think some of the nerves are starting to regenerate. It's nothing really bad, just gets a bit tiring after a couple of weeks.
You better have your DH replace it later...and while he's there he might as well buy you 2 of them...you know, in case of emergency.

You know. Like I did last weekend.
