The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

:yay: How fun! Glad they had a blast with the goo after all.

It was great! I had to freehand Mikalah a kitty on her pumpkin... I have NO artistic talent. NONE. It really looked like she might have drawn it on there.. Or Alex, at most.. But my husband.. That is the best kitty EVER!:lmao: :lmao: Yeah right. It looks like crap, but she loves it.

My 3 yo is in the bathroom. CLEANING. Is it really that bad.. that she feels the need to clean? OR.. Am I going to go in there and my bathroom will be flooded?

I was just watching Andy Rooney on 60 Minutes and... OMG! I'm turning into my father! :headache:

Anyway...

So I'm watching and he's talking about the two presidential candidates. He talks about how he's met several past presidents in his time, including FDR (spoke at his school), Eisenhower, Nixon, Carter, Clinton.

THEN he said he did not know yet who he was going to vote for this year, because he so admired both candidates, and is looking forward to change in the coming years.

I was stunned. He's such an old curmudgeon, I fully expected this to be a rant of some sort. Instead, what a breath of fresh air in an election year full of so much ugliness between the candidates and their supporters. :thumbsup2

No way would my kids voluntarily clean anything.

Do you realize our kids probably won't understand that movie. What is wrong with that tv screen, aren't they supposed to be blue?

well 5 liters short of a full dialysis run.:sad2:

Good thing we were not doing labs as planned. It would totally screw with his results.

Dozen chux sopping up the carpet later.. fans are blowing full blast, had to pull things out from under the bed (thank goodness the holiday things are in plastic storage bags). It will dry by morning. :guilty:

 Wow, there sure is a lot to dialysis, and a lot to go wrong. So is it still better doing it at home than having to go to the dialysis center? Seems like a lot of work...but I'm guessing the ability to do at home outweighs all of that.

wow, that is a different take than his usual..maybe he is mellowing in his old age. ;)

But is interesting to watch and see how it all turns out. I kinda wish I could take bits of both candidates (and their VP mates) and mix them up into the best one person to fill the job.

My dad was a 60 minutes fan too. Eh Gads.. how old is Andy Rooney? he was old when I was a kid

Wow..I thought that guy was dead!

Evening Ladies!

I'm back from our trip.

Had a great time in Vegas. Stupid stomach did the normal gall bladder thing. Megan knows what I'm talking about.:rolleyes1 We saw Bette Middler. Didn't care for her too much. The Venetian was gorgeous!! Had fun shopping!

Went to DL on Friday and met with about 17 ladies at the Cafe Orleans for dinner. That was super nice. Then I rushed off to to the Halloween party with my kids at DCA. We had alot of fun....................but my grandsons fell asleep way too soon, and they didn't get to enjoy very much of it. I wish they could start it sooner. There were so many cute costumes!!! Virtually no lines, except for Midway Mania. But we went there first, so we were able to get in 2 rides back to back. Shortly after the lines grew pretty fast for it.

Lot of candy, and dancing and games. We forgot about the parade until we came on to the end of it.

DL on Saturday was busy busy busy!! But we still managed to get alot done.

Went to Storytellers Cafe for dinner that night with all the family. Had never been there. Was very nice, and we had great service.

My feet are killing me. I think my favorite walking shoes have lost their support or something. Maybe next time I will try Crocs.

Hope all is well with everyone. Oh and I saw Albort in the distance, but we were on a roll to get to a ride, and I couldn't stop.

So HI Albort!!!

I've decided I'm voting for Ralph Nader.

MELODY!!!! Im sorry you had tummy troubles. I know just what you mean. but Im SO GLAD you had fun at DL!!!!! I thought about you having a great time this weekend! I LOVE Storytellers for dinner. YUM.

It's our own errors that cause the problems.. well the cat too. :lmao:

If you miss a clamp or connect something wrong.. there will be a problem. Messy problems this time around.

Usually when we have alarms ringing it means we screwed something up, we did have one error that was due to faulty tubing. Had to send it to the ocmpnay of them to asses why it failed, but of course while in storage waiting for the box to arrive UPS.. the cat bit the tubing. :sad2:

The company laughs when they see our file now: need new water line due to cat teeth damage, faulty cartridge damaged by cat teeth after use. :headache:

So HI Albort!!!

Hi Melody! Sounds like you had a great trip. My family really liked Storytellers. DS especially loved that he could make his own pizza for dinner. Our server that night was awesome. As a matter of fact we had more fun and better service there than at Napa Rose.

Hi Melody!

Sounds like you had a blast!
I peeked at the pics of the mini meeet on the ladies only thread . I'm so jealous!
