The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

And since I can't lie and pretend that my house is completely clean and organized....are you ready for this???? It's my coat closet by the front door! It contains about 10 cans of paint, wrapping paper, assorted luggage and backpacks. Yes I do clean it out every once in a while, but someones always grabbing a suitcase to go somewhere or digging for wrapping paper or bags and well....it's a mess!:rotfl2:

See that's exactly the reason I don't venture too far from the Hyena thread. I think the Tag Fairy is a bit frightened of us Hyenas.:lmao:

Well I know what my project tonight will be...cleaning up that closet. Geez, it worked yesterday with the photo mess. Maybe everytime I have a mess to clean up I'll just post a photo on here, it will look so bad that I will be shamed into cleaning or organizing it right away.:thumbsup2

Did you guys actually sort through the photos (you mentioned getting the kids in on the project), or just straighten them up in the closet? :)

I have waaaaay too many photos to be able to organize them all in one day. Goodness, DH's mother has sent me probably two big boxfuls of old family photos herself! It's going to be quite a chore to go through those; fortunately I think many have dates on the back, though I think not always names. Some are wedding photos of when she married DH's father, and members of his family from Lebanon are there, but of course I don't know who is who, and neither does he. :lmao:

Sorry Alex, gotta go for a bit. DD has been gone hunting since Tuesday and he just walked thru the door. Talk to ya later. I started reading that post, but didn't make it to your's yet. Some of those are hillarious! It looks like almost everyone that posted on there got tagged.:thumbsup2

I'm here. I don't know why, but it took me FOREVER to find the darn thread! :rotfl:

I had a verrrrry long phone call this evening with a girlfriend who is about to quit her job to become a SAHM. She is FREAKED OUT!!!

:thumbsup2 Hello! How was your Sunday? Anything overly exciting happen?

Let's see... Slept in. Costco run with the kids (which of course means stopping at the the food stand for lunch.) Spent the afternoon helping DS8 assemble the poster for his book report. And if I do say so myself, it ROCKS! :lmao:

We had leftovers for dinner, so that was easy, too. Then ran the boys through the wash-and-rinse cycle, and then my GF called in a panic over the idea of giving notice. Poor thing!

Awesome. I too slept in. Then we took the beasties out for donuts. We just spent the day hanging out... All rainy and dreary, perfect for watching movies. Alex got a new book from half priced books.. It is an encyclopedia of Earth and Space. Man he is a killer reader now. Blows my mind.

In Costco DS8 started to drool over the book section. He found one on Space, with a cool 3D illusion type cover, and he begged for it. I said, "Put it on your Christmas list, and maybe you'll get it." He was most disappointed in me. :rotfl:

DONE. Frelan has been on me for a couple of weeks to fill out the beneficiary thingy for his 401k.

now.. Why do I have to do this? It is his dang job. I think he is entirely to dependent on me. grrrr... What is he going to do if something happens to me? move in with his crazy mom?? Actually.. He has already said he would rather move in with my mom. :lmao:

Mmmhhhhhmmmm.. Alex wrote his letter to Santa today, and it had a whopping 3 things on it. ;) :lmao: BUT.. He did it on his own. I am so impressed with this kid. He is a freaking genius. I dnt know where he gets it. Must be from me, huh?:lmao:

We were talking about the babies today, and Alex got this REALLY worried look on his face.. and I asked him what he was thinking about. He wanted to know how we were going to put both babies in the cart at the grocery store!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: He is to funny. I told him we would figure something out.. not to worry. :rotfl2:

OMG. You know that's crazy for a man to move in with his MIL! :lmao:

To be honest, I think my DH might choose my mom as well. :rolleyes1

DS8 apparently wrote a letter to Santa one year (maybe two years ago?) and never showed it to anyone. He stumbled across it while he was cleaning his room, MONTHS later. I wanted to nab it and put it in a scrapbook, but he wanted to keep it. (Darn it!)

That boy of yours is always thinkin'. :rotfl2:

We do letters to Santa every year. This is his first time writing it himself. MAN, was he ever excited to write it.

I KNOW. I have no idea where he comes up with half the stuff he does. Crazy dang kid.

I asked the boys every year what they'd like, and DS8 usually only came up with one thing. One! It was hysterical! :lmao:
