The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

We went to Target awhile ago and I tried to get these Domokun figurines that were on clearance but they were all gone :(

Now I'm watching Sex in the City: The Movie. Have you guys seen it? It's actually good. I've never seen the show though.

I haven't looked at Target for awhile... too broke
:rotfl:

Clearance goes fast here, but do you want me to check? Which figurines?

Haven't watched the movie, but we did catch the show on occasion. E doesn't like Sarah Jessica Parker, but thought the older lady character Samantah Jones (Kim Cattrall) was a hottie. She has some funny lines too.

I toss my overripes in the freezer- skin and all.

You just squish them out after thawing, easy to mash.

Hiya Pix! Why we gain another hour tonight due to daylight savings time ending, so we didn't want to waste it.:lmao:

They were kinda weird cookies...tried a new recipe "Banana split sundae" cookies. They taste like banana bread only in cookie form. They are good, but just weird, kinda bread like and spongy. Good with ice cream, but kind of odd by themselves. But it used up about 4 bananas in the recipe, so a good way to get rid of the over ripe bananas without wasting them.:thumbsup2

Ah yes, I forgot about daylight savings time. God bless an extra hour of sleep!! :cloud9: :rotfl2:

Funny but I don't really save stuff of my own, just my old dead relatives stuff.:lmao: About 80% of the stuff hanging on my walls or decorative stuff in my house were gifts. I guess people felt like I needed stuff!:lmao: I do have some things that I picked out, but almost everything in my house has a story or some special reason that I saved it.

I do that too.:thumbsup2 But there comes a time when I must actually do something with all those little baggies of frozen bananas.:lmao:

Here's a prime example of "stuff" that I have but just can't throw away because of sentimental value. This was my mother's bread box that she used when I was a kid...I use it for what else...bread! Jose No Neck is our cookie jar made by my MIL and the Halloween candy bowl was also made by my MIL.

And we can't forget my Mustang Collection given to me by a very special friend. Also the little jewlery box given to me as a Christmas present by the kids and the little pink dishcloth under the jewelry box crocheted by a blind lady that survived the holocaust and gives them to breast cancer survivors at the race for the cure every year. I keep these special things on my nightstand.

Ladies, I think I have inherited the Pack Rat Gene!:lmao: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I did however decorate the top of the kitchen cabinets. That is a special creation of mine and contains no dead relatives stuff...well except for the Marilyn Merlot wine bottle given to me by my late boss.:rotfl2: But he knew I was looking for special wine bottles for that decor.:thumbsup2

I am not at all responsible for the crap hanging on the front of the fridge. I hate that stuff, but my family keeps hanging stuff up there, so I finally gave up.

:goodvibes

oh wow, I feel honored to add to your pack rat collection :flower3:

That was fun to see all the photos.. a glimpse in the world of Alison. :)

Mine would be photos of ummm messy rooms
I have a pile of candy on my coffee table, we dumped it and there it sits.

It was all nicley categorized at one point..

that was me.. I categorize the candy. Chocolate vs non chocolate and then more sub categories by brand and type. I did it while going thru DN's treats too (taking out the allergy no nos), BIL laughed at me.

Well the candy is all mixed up and messy now, E looked at me with an evil grin, picked it all up and flung it across the table top.

Me: Sigh.. feel better dear?
Him: Yes I do :)

:lmao: :rotfl2:

I also have a ginat dead TV sitting on the floor, dirty socks, popcorn pieces thanks to the boys (E started it ) throwing them at each other. Piles of coupons to be cut and sorted, blanket tossed to the floor (now covered in cat hair.. guess that one is Poly's now.. sigh)

My dishes are done at least, thanks J!

It is dark, dreary and raining here today. Perfect for curling up on the couch with the kids and watching a movie with the kids. :thumbsup2 Maybe that is why I love the weather here so much. It is good lazy weather. :lmao: :lmao: I am the QUEEN of lazy, dont ya know? ;) :rotfl2:

Oh. and if I took pics of my place, you all would have to call in the national guard. It is a HOT MESS. Total wreck. Dirty messy. Guess how much I care? Oh yeah. Not enough to get off my big butt and clean it. :lmao:

mmm found food, tummy happy. Grunt grunt

:rotfl2:

It dawned on me that I didn't eat yet today-- well diet coke but that's all.

mmmm now I need sweet

muahahahahahahahaaaaaa off to raid the chocolate. ;)

mmm, I was skeptical if these would be good.. but mm tasty. Hubby is happily making himself a sandwhich steak, thinly sliced hunk of steak-- it was cheap at Super Target. Very tender beefy morsel,no knife needed. Impressive.

Hey, guys!

Check out my new tag! :lmao:
(DH probably won't like it, though.) :rolleyes1

Ahoy Mighty Hyenas! Took the kids on a shopping spree today. Why? Because I wanted to!

DD REALLY wanted a purple christmas tree for her bedroom so got her a beautiful (gag!) purple tree, DS picked out a regular one for his bedroom. So I only have about half the Halloween decorations down and they already have Christmas trees in their bedrooms. :rotfl2:

Wow. That's really... something. :scared:

I will admit that purple is my favorite color, but I draw the line at purple cars and purple trees. I do love the little peacock ornaments on the tree, however. Lovely! :lovestruc

When did you say that?:thumbsup2 :lmao: Or should I even ask what you were talking about??:rotfl2:
Yesterday I contributed to a thread about the most embarrassing injury you've ever had. Hang on, let me see if I can find the link...
