The HUGE Planning Resources Thread!

I don't scrapbook, but I am a researcher and planner to some extent. Last year, I found that I took WAY too much information with me. :confused3
This year, I am bringing one laminated credit card sized organizer per day with me. It will have my ADR information, park hours and a list of must do rides for the day at the park. Once I learned the Fast Pass system, I didn't need a lot more of organization or planning. We did not wait in line more than 20 min our entire vacation!:cloud9:

Thanks for the links! We'll meet you there in August!:goodvibes

Do you have a pic of the little card you bring to the park? Sounds great, just not sure if I can get all my info on it for the day. TIA :worship:

I found this one through another binder thread. I was searching for people as OCD as me.

I have to say I was REALLY inspired by MickeysBestGal's book. I can't wait to post pictures of mine :)

I would be happy to post the dividers I created as well if anyone is interested. I need instructions on how to do it.

My book is one of the small see through binders. 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 I think.

Thank you so much for creating this! I'm in the early stages of planning and all these great sites and tips are going to help so much! I'm subbing!

Here is my first ever page for my trip planner. I'm not sure if I'm 100% happy with it or not yet. :confused3

Great start!!! I can't wait to see it when you're finished! You're so creative :artist:

I recommend making a quick 1-page itinerary with all your info (flights, dining reservations, hotel confirmation, etc) that you can keep with you in the parks. Maybe also a small travel bag for your park passes/room keys, autograph book/pen, etc. that you can take with you to the parks. It helps to keep all that stuff in one place.

Thank you! I read on here to make an index card for each day with ADRs, conf #s, a daily itenerary, etc. So I'm working on those now. Do you think a backpack is a hassle? They can't go on rides, right? Are there lockers?

Backpacks can go on rides with you. Some rides have mesh pouches to store them in other rides you just have to put it under your feet or beside you. I usually keep the straps through my feet if it's on the floor. I found a backpack that folds down into a fanny pack. It's great to have the extra room, just in case. I also bought a bagalini bag based on recommendations here on the Dis. It has many compartments and is large enough to store many items. It reminds me more of a purse. I still use it at home.

Yes there are lockers also. They come in 2 sizes. Not sure of the price.

At the four Theme Parks, the policy is:
Large Locker: $7.00 per day plus a $5.00 key deposit which is refunded when the key is returned
Small Locker: $5.00 per day plus a $5.00 key deposit which is refunded when the key is returned
Key must be turned in within an hour of the park closing
Key operated lockers can be accessed as often as you like
When visiting more than one theme park on the same day:

Return the key for the $5.00 deposit and get a receipt
Take the receipt to the next theme park
Present the receipt, pay the $5.00 key deposit and you'll have a locker for the remainder of the day

Great Thread, thanks so much to everyone for posting. I love all the great ideas.

Subbing. Can't wait to commiserate with all of my fellow OCD planners in the creative community here!

This is great! Now I can prove to my fiance that I'm not the only person who has multiple color-coded Disney planning documents! :goodvibes

I used a smaller-sized 3 ring binder for my WDW info last trip but the cover fell off, DH says it's because I used it so much! But was handy and fit into my purse!
Anyway, I found a cute black planner at Walmart on clearence for $9. It will work perfect except it is not 3-ring, it has 5! Why would somthing so small need 5 rings??:confused3 It has a zipper and extra clear pockets too.
I have been searching for months to find the perfect binder for all my WDW info that isn't so big. I print all my plans/info out and it takes 1/2 sheet of paper each page.

I would love to know what you guys use to hold all the fantastic info we find here and to keep your plans organized? :flower3:
